A vampire is a person who does not produce a sufficient amount of pranic or "life" energy, and therefore has a need to consume energy from other sources, in order to remain healthy. This may be from drinking blood, or from draining non-physical energy from another life force. There are two main types of vampires: blood vampires and PSI vampires.

3). What is the difference between Vampires and Vampyres ?

The difference between vampires and vampyres is that vampires are mortal. This includes the group of Sanguinarian, PSI, emotional, sexual, social and elemental vampires. The major difference between vampires and vampyres is that vampires cannot make or turn other vampires.

4). Will a Vampire get old and die ?

Everybody dies, eventually. Vampires do seem to age slower than most people, however, they do not live much longer than the average human being.

5). Are there really slayers and Vampire hunters ?

Yes, unfortunately. There are two types. The "Buffy wannabe", and the real hunters and slayers. These are the professional type of hunters.

No, Vampires are not demons.

7). What happens if a Vampire doesn't have enough blood ?

They will become very sick and weak, and experience, headaches, stomach cramps, muscle cramps, irritability and lethargy.

8). How much is enough ?

This depends on the vampire. Sanguinarians will only need about a teaspoon of blood 2 or 3 times a week.

9). Do they eat normal food ?

Yes, they still eat food. However, many Sanguinarians have trouble digesting food. This is due to the fact that their bodies are tuned to "digest" energy, rather than physical substances.

10). How does the sunlight affect them ?

Vampires do not have the sensitivity to sunlight as strongly as vampyres. However, they are still very sensitive to the sun on their eyes and skin. Sunlight can also drain a vampire of their energy quite significantly.
