My Avatar

Greetings, may the Force be with you, according to the Prophecy. ^_^ Why yes, I am a nerd, and I love it. I love most things sci-fi/fantasy, and I also am a huge anime fan. And not only that, but I'm a writer too (or at least, I try). Although all I have published so far is fanfiction and a poem in the school litmag, someday I hope to actually finish the book that I've been kinda-sorta-not really writing. Ehe...anyway, I'd like to introduce you to my muses, Scar-san and Envy, both of whom are from the anime FullMetal Alchemist.
Scar: Hi.
Envy: Hi.
They both rock my socks. Scar is my favorite anime character, and Envy my second favorite. I always seem to like the antagonists best...other favorites of mine are Sesshoumaru, Gollum, Predators, Slytherins...I worry my parents. I also collect medieval weaponry, and have three loony cats. And a virtual hamster named Chaos. In'ee cute?

   Stuffs
Gee, when was the last time I updated this...? -_-;; Anyway, I survived the first school semester, turned in all my college applications, and got in somewhere (wh00t!), although I haven't heard back from any of the others. Went out with my friends yesterday; we went to a tea place, then to go see King Kong. God, that was such a good movie (except for the bugs. I didn't like that bit) The end was all sad and depressing, and all three of us cried even though we knew it was coming. On the way home we passed a Borders, so we were just randomly like 'Ooo, let's stop and go in the bookstore!' So we did. And even though we'd never been to that Borders before, we were unconsiously drawn straight to the manga section (as in, we weren't even paying attention to where we were going until we looked up and there we were in the manga section.) Browsed around, one of my friends found a Batman book she'd been looking for and bought it, and we went home. It was fun. ^^

   School
Well, I've been to all my classes for this semester now, so here's what I think about them:
Comparative Religions: This promises to be one of my favorite classes. Normally I don't do too well in religion classes, but this one is different. The teacher rocks, and I love learning about other religions.
Digital Graphics and Animation: Hmmm...not quite sure if I'll like it or not, but I think I will. I tend to like doing this kind of thing, so this could be a good class.
2-D Design: It's an art class, 'nuf said. Seems like it'll be good.
English (British Lit): Oh heck, I'm gonna love this class so much. We get to study LotR second semester, too!
Technical Theater: Seems fun, judging by what my other friends have said about it.
Paper Making and Bookbinding: 'Nother fun class.
Pre-Calculus: Well, I spent the entire first class thinking 'Shoot me now', if that's any judge. Teacher doesn't know what she's doing, but at least she isn't malicious.
Free Period: Do I really need to say anything?

Well, it seems that I've got a fairly easy schedule at the moment ('cept for pre-cal); here's hoping I won't die when I try to balance it with college applications. I'm thinking that it's a good thing that I don't have any real extracurricular activities (aka ones that actually require attendence; I'm in Sci-Fi club, but we're not very strict there).

   Randomness
Hee, I'm tired and sugar-high at the same time, and whenever that happens my thought process goes crazy. Hmmm...I wonder if Scar-san laughs when you tickle him. That would be funny to see. *looks over at Scar*
Scar: *glare* Don't even think about it.
Don't worry, Scar-san. I won't tickle you until you're not expecting it. Muhahahahahahaha!
Scar: *backs away slowly*
Anywho, I have a question for all of you. I'm currently in the process of writing a fanfic, in which I will need a name for little!Scar. I'm leaning towards Daniel, but does anyone else have a suggestion?

   Ah, air conditioning...
I've just spent two and a half days at a camp called the Pines on some kind of weird class retreat thingy, and there was no air conditioning. Only ceiling fans that didn't work. And it was about 95 degrees and insanely humid the whole time. I don't do very well in that kind of weather. And I didn't have my iPod, and the food was terrible. But I had fun anyway, and I got lotsa writing done, which is always good. So it kinda evened out. But I'm still very glad to be back with air conditioning, showers, and internet.
