Cowboy Bebop
Last night i stayed up later than i ever have before in my lifetime (with the exception of a few sleepover birthday parties). why you ask? what caused me to defy my typical "early to bed early to rise nature"? Cowboy Bebop: The Movie. It was on at midnight on adult swim lastnight. even staying up till midnight is normally a pain for me, but through sheer willpower and adreline, i was able to make it up untill 215 last night when the movie ended without once haven the thought of sleep cross my mind.

I had wanted to see this movie so much, and i had such high expectations for it, that by the time 1200 had come around, i began worrying, and second guessing myself asking if it was worth it to stay up this late, and what if this movie had failed to reach my expectations, as so many anime had before it. by 1205, that thought was compleatly erased from my mind. THE MOVIE WAS GREAT. it fulfilled, and in some cases even surpassed my unnatural expectations. Cowboy Bebop is now one of my new favorite anime. second only to Yu Yu Hakusho. although fantastic, i was a wee bit confused. for anyone who saw the movie i must pose a few questions.

1. what was the deal with the butterflies?

2. who was that weird guy that spike got the vase from? was he really just some street drug dealer, or was he someone who knew vincent before? and how did he come accross everything he knew?

3. most importantly, what was vincent's motive? i still dont understand why he wanted to kill the entire human population. was he really that depressed?

Aside from these few complications, the movie was great. i defineatly want to buy the dvd and see it again, and i most certainly am going to buy the series on dvd, and watch that. i leave you with a picture from cowboy bebop.
