Hey. I'm Jonathan Scott Griner, young artist and anime lover since the year '99. My purpose here on theOtaku is to meet new people, find good and inspiring art, and just enjoy what this wonderful site has to offer.

-Biography

Back in 1999, a cousin of mine introduced me to the wonderful world of anime. I was hooked immediatley. I began to draw anime, read manga, and watch anime on Direct TV (Adult-Swim). Saying that I was obsessed is an understatement. The fact that I was already into samurai related stuff, and studying martial arts, didn't quite help, either.
Then, in 2005, I met another young anime fan, Karen. After spending time getting to know her around school (and with surprise help from her mother), we began dating on her birthday, in the early months of 2006. Since then, I have come to love her, and charish her above all that I have... even my intense passion for art.
All in all, my life seems to be pretty unusual. Having seen many lives end in so many different ways, I decided to rethink my life, and discover my priorities. (Karen, art, and Dew... Yes, I'm addicted to Mountain Dew)

A few minutes for theOtaku...
Greetings all,

Wow. I have been so busy lately. I was commissioned last month along with several other artists to paint a giant mural on a rather old building in our town! I have been working on that most recently, and we've almost finished! Also, SPLAT-INK ART STUDIOS©, my some-what small company, has been invested in to create several automotive graphic designs for a dealer who likes anime, particularly InuYasha!
Talk about busy! I'll try to get back on sometime soon, but no promises! (Perhaps I should change my name from Unsung Artist to the Wandering Artist!)

Not enough time.

I haven't been on in a while, and it will probrably be a while before I'm on again. I'm sorry about this, but I have too much on my plate at once...
I didn't want to, but I'm afraid the contest is post-poned until further notice. I just don't have enough time.

Forgive My Absence
To everyone, forgive me for being gone again. We have been without power for quite a while, long enough we had to buy a generator to run the house. I won't be on as offen, but I'll try to check in as much as possible. The contest has been delayed one month.
