My Avatar

Hello. Well, at 28 years old I have been an anime fan for going all the way back to the days of robotech. At the moment, I am on a horror kick so I love Descendents of Darkness, Hellsing, Vampire Princess Miyu and of course, Vampire Hunter D and its sequel. For Manga, I like Tarot Cafe, Model and the manga (or in the case of D, novels) based on many of the series mentioned. Of course, I love the Fatal Frame video game series (the 3rd on will be out shortly along with a new Deception title). I love horror entertainment and enjoy the rich history of Japanese horror in anime, movies and literature. Kwaidan by Lafacadio Hearn was one of the first works that compiled Japanese myths (mostly horrific) and I appreciate the deep history of dark stories that the culture possesses. I have a degree in English literature but would like to go with a little more comparative literature (with a horror bend). Although in anime, western horror seems to take a center stage (even using terms like vampire instead of the eastern Kyuketski) but there are characters that are not western influenced. Surprisingly, I found Inuyasha to have some of the best representations of japanese mythology in anime, but I digress. As you can tell, I blather on about things. But I just wanted to kind of state my interests beforehand. Be kind to one another and have a good day,
Gabriel
