James
Oh my God. Tonight was the funnest night I've had in a long time, and it was just a skating rink. James is the sweetest guy I've ever dated. He like understands how my mind runs and everything. We held hands all night, and we bought matching necklaces. And he understood my thing for when I didn't skate a lot..I never have anyone to be with! But I had him tonight, and it was awsome. I know what to give him for his birthday if we're still dating. ^.0 I'll never tell until then. Toodles.

~Falling into Roses~ Chapter One
Church bells were ringing. It was, unfourtunately not for Church service on a normal Sunday. Of course, Raccoon City had no normal days. This, of course had to be a funeral. You could hear the Priest read from the Book of Revelations to the people, and to the dead who were passing on this day...but barely over the sobs of the mother, father, girlfriend, and relatives. It was a sad site to see, indeed. And what was worse was the fact it was an open casket funeral, allowing the people to see the dead body. Hell, there was nothing left, and two of the students there knew that much already. Standing far off from them, near the old oak tree were two teenagers known as Sakura and Serge.

A sigh escaped the male teen's lips, he lowering his sunglasses just lightly. "Sakura, you think this city will ever be normal again?" He asked and awaited for her response. Sakura shuffled towards a tombstone, and sat down on the very top of it, looking at him. "Nah, then it would be some boring old town with a movie theater and a skating rink." She stated. And the honest truth was just said. The city had been so dulled down in the past couple of years, even the dead left. Every now and then, Serge would have an attitude towards his friend, but over time, they grew to not cause each other problems, just the dead, which was completely ironic.

Mr. Reed came fourth to the two away from the crowd. "Did you two find anything...when you looked in the cafeteria?" He asked, somewhat shaking. Serge looked to him, removing the sunglasses and placing them in his hair. "Yes sir, but that is confidental information." The principal blinked."Confidential?" He asked, pondering on the thought of it being "confidential."
"Yes sir. That means we are not allowed to tell you what we found." Sakura stated in a British tone, watching her best friend chuckle at it. The day did need a laugh, didn't it? But it seemed Mr. Reed didn't find it funny. "This is a funeral..not some damn game being played."

And then, screams were heard. Serge, Sakura, and Mr. Reed looked up, and blinked. Outside of the casket was the body of Rick Jones, the star Quaterback of the football team. He was attacking people, and that was the signal for the two teens to intervein. Just like that, two guns were heard. One was a regular pistol. The other was an automatic rifle. Going off at the same time, the girl ran foward, since hers only shot one bullet at a time. Serge reverted to going over the tombstones. They watched Rick fall to the ground, headless, and more mutilated then he already was in the first place.

Screams were heard again. Ok, having guns out in at a funeral was a bad idea, but sure was worth it. Mr. Reed's eyes scanned the area, in shock. His gaze landed on the two with the weapons. "What..in the hell?" He asked, walking foward slowly. Sakura raised the pistol to his head."I don't know if Ricky boy here bit you or not..but you better pray he didn't..because, if he did, then I'd have to blow your head off." And with that Serge went to him, inspecting him. "He's clean....but we need to check everyone else." He stated and she nodded. "And what's stupid is they don't have the T-Virus cure anymore.."

'Woof woof woof' was heard now. The blonde's head turned to see three dogs. All three of them were torn up, and definately dead. Serge ran a hand through his blonde hair and gulped. "Dogs infected..this is-" He was pinned down by one of them, it about to bite his neck if not for Sakura's quick action. She was holding the gun to it's head and shot it, watching ti fly off and hitting a tree. Picking up his rifle, she started shooting the animals, watching the heads fly off and the bodies turn into limp formations. Kneeling down beside him, she checked for any bites or scratches, finding one. Her eyes went wide. "Serge...you've been infected..."

Serge looked up at her and sighed. "I'll fight back against the virus...and when I can't fight any longer, I want you to take me down....promise?" She clutched his hand and nodded. "Understood..." was all she said, hugging him tightly, not wanting to let go. He blinked, feeling warm tears on his forehead. "You're crying..." He pointed out and she only started to cry even more. He didn't understand it, she never cried, never showed fear, never broke down. But now, she was acting as if someone close to her was dying or something. "Sakura..I'm not dead yet.." She clung to him, holding him tightly. "I..you can't do this to me..."

Soon enough, rain began to fall down upon the two. Everyone left, since no one was infected and Mr. Reed had passed out somewhere near the church building. Sakura just sat there, crying and holding him close. 'This can't be happening..not now! We've only just begun working as a team..and now I don't have the chance to tell him I love him..Damnit..this is wrong..I can't love my best friend...can I? 'Were the thoughts running through her head at the time. Serge just wondered what was running through her head, he starting to turn pale and he was sweating. If he couldn't fight, then he'd have the one person he trusted shoot him.

The two were soaking wet, and Serge was clutching the ground. The virus was getting to him. "Sakura..finish me off...now..please." Sakura shook her head, looking at the wound, which was more infected then in the first place. Her heart started to pound and she shakily picked up the pistol, aiming it at his cerebellum. "I can't..." was what she said through tears, her finger on the trigger and he pulled back from her, his eyes dead looking. No words came from him, only grunts. He couldn't fight any longer, Sakura scrambling to her feet and shooting him in the forehead, cerebellum, and in the chest. Tears fell from her eyes as she did this, falling to the ground, crying.

Serge's body fell limp on the ground, not moving. Blood was on her hands, not seen. Her heart was pounding rapidly, she didn't have the chance to say it. "Serge..." She whispered, just watching the body with clouded eyes and no expression. Suddenly her head lifted and she pointed the pistol at a man standing behind her. "Sakura Sarashimi, you're wanted at the Hive immediately." He said in a monotone voice, and she got up, putting the gun up and looking back to the body. "Goodbye Serge..." She said softly and walked off with the man, her tears dried. Now wasn't the time to give in...not just yet.

~Falling into Roses~ A Resident Evil Prolouge
Sakura stood outside of the cemetary in Raccoon City. Her eyes scanned the area, she trying to think of the reason why there were so many murders. Her thoughts were running aimlessly in her mind, she not able to think clearly. Suddenly, her head turned, and she pulled out a regular pistol, aiming it at the head that was behind her."What do you want Serge?" She asked somewhat coldly, lowering the gun and placing it within the belt of her mini skirt. Serge chuckled."Well...you are infront of a boneyard, thinking that more ghouls are going to get you. That's kind of weak man." She shook her head and ran a slender, pale hand through her thick black and blue hair."Dude..that was not funny! Next time, I'm pulling the trigger on you." He snickered."I know..but it was in a way...and you might want to fix your top..it's sagging."He pointed out and watched her pull it up."I need to find that cross pendant.."She murmered lightly and tightened the string on her halter top, making it stay up and in place. 'Shuffle shuffle shuffle' was heard and the two went on alert. Sakura's gaze shifted into the graveyard and knew it. More zombies..and it looks as if they're coming from the newest graves. As fast as lightning, her gun was out and she was running sideways, shooting the things coming towards her and Serge. He pulled out what seemed to be a long blade and went for some heads, watching them fly off."There are too many of them! Retreat!" He called out and waited for her reply."Afirmative." And just like that, the two were out of there, running through the woods and into what seemed to be an old house.

It was the beginning of the next day when the newsreport came on. Sakura was in the living room putting on a pair of green socks. She looked up to the television and watched with somewhat interest. She was in a pair of low riding black jeans, a black t-shirt with a giant red rose on it, and a red cross around her pale neck. She stood and went to the mirror, brushing her hair and putting it up in a Japanese formal style known as a topknot. Slipping on a pair of glasses she grabbed her keys and walked out the front door. Standing right by her black firebird was the seventeen year old named Serge."No..no no." She said quickly, climbing in and growled as Serge got in the passenger seat."You are seventeen. I'm sixteen...get your own car!" He laughed."Nah, your's is so much more comfortable." A sigh escaped her black painted lips as she she started it up."Whatever..you want to be seen with a goth, fine by me."And with that, she set the vehicle in reverse and drove off towards Raccoon High.

About thirty minuets later, Sakura pulled into the parking lot of the school, pulling into her space and parking the car. She shut it off and looked over to Serge, who was asleep. Chuckling, she poked his arm, causing him to jump out of his seat."Holy....Sakura!"He exclaimed before unbuckling his seatbelt and opening the door and vclimbing out to stretch. She clamboured out of her side, stretching some."Another day...of another boring school year..I can't wait until I am a senior!" He laughed."Sure you can. The tests are harder, you know that, right?"He asked her, and she nodded."Just because I'm Japanese and got transferred to here, you think I'm stupid!" She replied and grabbed her bag out of the backseat, starting to walk towards the building."You coming?" He nodded and followed her off into the school building.

They headed toward the cafeteria, but were stopped by the principal."Mr. Reed...what's the problem?" Asked Serge with a cocked eyebrow. The man pointed to the barricade."I'm sorry...but school has been cancled for today...The Quaterback of the football team has been murdered. They found his body in the cafeteria..half eaten."Mr.Reed explained and Sakura shuddered, clutching her sides."sir..can we go investigate at least? I want to see for myself..."She requested and Serge only gave her another odd glance but agreed."We wish to see if there are any clues as to why this happened." He stated and Mr. Reed nodded, lifting the baracade gate."Just becareful..there is a lot of blood that has been spilled." The two teenagers nodded and walked into the messy cafteria, going towards what seemed to be the main spot.

Kneeling down by what seemed to be a peice of human flesh, Sakura looked at it carefully. It seemed to her that some creatures were back..and it looked like on hell of a mess. Serge was getting blood samples, using the plastic baggies in his bag. The two knew to carry stuff for investigating, just in case something like this ever happened. Sakura looked up and sniffed the air. Something was amuck, and it wasn't the blood..it was death lingering around."Serge..go into my bag and grab my pistol."She ordered and Serge complied, tossing it to her. He pulled out a pistol from his belt and looked around, trying to see if he could find the creatures that did this.

And just like that, they were surrounded by zombies."Remember...don't get scratched!" She reminded him and cocked the weapon, aiming at a head and shooting it. Serge bumbed into her, they now back to back. One was blonde, the other had black and blue hair. You could hear the sounds of the pistols going off, and you could see the heads flying off the dead bodies. Again, like the night before hand, there were to many of the creatures. But this time, they had to stay and fight. One of the creatures grabbed Sakura's arm, tearing her away from Serge, who was fighting to get her back. Suddenly there was a loud noise, and the zombies went down, a woman standing in the doorway holding an automatic rifle."Hmph..you two should have called in for back up."

Sakura blinked and looked up at the woman."And you are?" She pondered, why did the woman there look so familiar? The woman smirked and walked foward."My name is Sasha Nikongi. I work for the Umbrella Corperation. We need you and your friend there to help us out. In the past few days, the virus has spread through some people, they infecting others. You obviously know how to kill them..and we need that talent down in the Hive."Serge looked at her with a raised brow and curiously set eyes."Yeah..Sahsa is it? Well, why do you need us? I mean, you just wiped them out with that automatic rifle." He pointed out and Sasha smiled."Yeah, well some of us are getting to old to fight."

Sakura noticed that Sasha had a bleeding arm."Serge...she's been infected." She said quietly, aiming her gun at Sasha's head. the woman watched and closed her eyes, taking the bullet, straight to the brain. The teenage girl set the gun in her belt and walked over to Sasha, getting the gun out of her hand and shooting her numerous times, making sure she was down for the count. Serge's mouth was open and hanging."You shot her...why?" He asked a bit confused. Sakura picked up what seemed to be a walkie talkie and heard a voice."I vote we check out the Hive..let's see what they have to offer." He nodded and walked over to her, his hands on her shoulders."You're not hurt..are you?"He asked worriedly. She shook her head and looked back at him with ice blue eyes."No, you?" He shook his head, his gaze matching hers."Nope."Is all he said when a man in a black suite walked in."You Sakura Sarashimi and Serge Smith?"He asked and the two nodded."Come with me please."He requested and the two teenagers shrugged. They knew it was going to be a new adventure in the depths of Raccoon City.
