I think I've discovered the evilest man on earth...
Alfred Kahn.

I've always disliked 4Kids for their butchering of animes but this is going too far even for them. The fact that this man would say kids don't and shouldn't read despite the Harry Potter phenomenon and tons of evidence that reading is necissary for development is bad enough, but saying this stuff at a convention dedicated to comic books at a panel with lots of librarians in the audience is just plain rude. Oh, did I forget to mention 4Kids is going to butcher Pretty Cure? Just when I thought they were going to fade into oblivion, they license yet another long-running anime (and yet another choice that furthers Kahn's reputation as a closet pedophile). Believe me, if they license, say, Keroro Gunso or Bleach I'm going to kill Al Kahn...

Or just mail the directors of those anime a tape of the 4Kids hackjob and the calling card for the lawyer who got Warriors of the Wind banned and watch amused as the situation takes care of itself.
