   I'm Back
Hello everyone! I'm back from my trip to West TX and I have lots to tell you. Let me start with the places we visited ok, (clears throat) here it goes. We visited Big Bend national park and camped at Fort Davis national park. We hiked like 3 mountains and some canyon (i cant remember the name of it) that was at the Chihuahuan Desert. Also, we went to an observatory that is on top of some mountain, and that was were our luck started, yup, you are 11 hours away from home and your bus decides to brake down on the top of a mountain. Are we lucky or what? Anyways, we waited there for like 5 hours until another bus came. Than we went back to camp to prepare dinner; we were than suppose to go back to the observatory for this star party but by the time we got dinner started it was time for the star party to start, so we were like screw it. Instead we hiked this mountain that was in the park. It was not as easy as the other 3 but we managed. There was like cactus everywhere and i'm pretty sure we passed a couple of snakes on our way up (at least no one got bitten). It's a bit hard to hike at night but the sight that you get once you are on top is worth it. Also, we saw the Marfa Lights. For those of you who dont know what they are let me tell you, there's this place in some highway were people stop to watch this lights that come on and off acros the sky. They seem to be stars but stars dont move from ane place to another in a couple of seconds. It was SPOOKY. Oh yeah, the weather there was awful. 22 degrees outsie and you are trying to sleep on a sleeping bag. Yeah, we pretty much froze, our water froze and there was ice outside our tent. Well i survived the cold so no need to worry. We also saw a couple of animals: deer, roadrunners, javalina, kangaroo rats, voltures, snakes, hawks, tarantulas, and a skunk. It suked when we saw the skunk cause he was really close to the chicken that we were cooking while freezing our asses. It went away after a while without leaving its 'mark' on our food. Oh well. It was a pretty good trip and i had lots of fun with my friends and ofcourse my boyfriend. So that was my trip to the mountains and once i get the pictures that i took develope i'll try to post them up. If you guys have a chance to go there please do, it's a beautiful place and you will have lots of fun, just take chap stick cause it is really really dry there (my lips were so chaped that my bottom lip started to bleed). Buh-bye now, take care you all (hugs).
