Armstrong, you're not the only one who visits. But the comments on this page, I'm afraid, are rather scarce. ^.^ People may be too busy--I haven't always commented when I've visited pages. But thank you for commenting. All comments, including ones from Armstrong, Philfoula, racoongirl, and katocool, I am happy to be given.

Today's post...I started reading Les Miserables. ^_^ It is on a CD library set my dad owns. I fell in love with the Broadway musical version of the story, and I have read part of it before. It's a great story about redemption, love, and mercy--all coming from faith. I'll write more about that book next time. And a fact of the day.

I apologize, but I have things I need to do. ^_^ Good day, all. Love and hugs. God be with you.

Alma 26:11-12

But Ammon said unto him: I do not boast in my own strength, nor in my own wisdom; but behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God.

Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever.

The righteous are God's people in the end--but we are all His children, and He wants us all to be His people. It is our choice. Let us help each other, and seek and accept His help.

Hi!
Alma 26
(starts with Alma, a returned missionary, praising God for the salvation of their brethren.)

7 But behold, they are in the hands of the Lord of the harvest, and they are his; and he will raise them up at the last day.

8 Blessed be the name of our God; let us sing to his praise, yea, let us give thanks to his holy name, for he doth work righteousness forever.

[...]

11 But Ammon said unto him: I do not boast in my own strength, nor in my own wisdom; but behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God.

12 Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever.

13 Behold, how many thousands of our brethren has he loosed from the pains of hell; and they are brought to sing redeeming love, and this because of the power of his word which is in us, therefore have we not great reason to rejoice?

14 Yea, we have reason to praise him forever, for he is the Most High God, and has loosed our brethren from the chains of hell.

15 Yea, they were encircled about with everlasting darkness and destruction; but behold, he has brought them into his everlasting light, yea, into everlasting salvation; and they are encircled about with the matchless bounty of his love; yea, and we have been instruments in his hands of doing this great and marvelous work.

16 Therefore, let us glory, yea, we will glory in the Lord; yea, we will rejoice, for our joy is full; yea, we will praise our God forever. Behold, who can glory too much in the Lord? Yea, who can say too much of his great power, and of his mercy, and of his long-suffering towards the children of men? Behold, I say unto you, I cannot say the smallest part which I feel.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please pray for all the people needing the Lord's help. Which is, in reality, all of us, though in different circumstances. There's another major hurricane brewing--please pray especially for people in such situations as that and wars and warzones.
Love and hugs. God will watch over us. We just have to listen when He tells us which path to take--since He sees and knows all, and we so little. Remember, He feels and loves, too--perfectly, and like us.
   Posting today. ^_^
Yeah, it would be something beyond my experience. But amazing, if I were righteous enough and blessed with such an experience. As it is, I am blessed at this point with not having such an experience--I very likely couldn't be able to live through it.
In Alma 12 and 13, it speaks of the righteousness of the saints, God's followers, and the leaders He ordains for His people. They are people of righteousness, who choose to follow, obey, and repent, according to Heavenly Father's commandments and plan of salvation. He gave us everything good in life, so that we could have eternal life and joy later, if we follow Him and accept His Son, Jesus Christ. Have faith, and believe and trust Them. Love.
   Hi, happy thought.
How are you guys doing? I get to hang out with a friend tomorrow, hopefully. And I got to talk to a couple friends on the phone recently. :D And there are a couple friends back in the area. And I'm still working in fast food. Our very hard-working main manager is on vacation this week. Yeah for her!
Take care, love, and God be with you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Perfect love casteth out fear." It's a verse in the New Testament. God's perfect love (and, maybe, perfect love for him) casts out all fears. When we are with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ spiritually, we need not fear the world. What bonds does a mortal, imperfect world have on us when we know we have a perfected eternity ahead of us, and that we can be with the people we love there?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Joseph Smith's Testimony
"By this time, so deep were the impressions made on my mind, that sleep had fled from my eyes, and I lay overwhelmed in astonishment at what I had both seen and heard. But what was my surprise when again I beheld the same messenger at my bedside, and heard him rehearse or repeat over again to me the same things as before; and added a caution to me[...] saying that I must have no other object in view in getting the plates but to glorify God, and must not be influenced by any other motive than that of building His kingdom; otherwise I could not get them.
"After this third visit, he again ascended into heaven as before, and I was again left to ponder on the strangeness of what I had just experienced; when almost immediately after the heavenly messenger had ascended from me the third time, the cock crowed, and I found that day was approaching, so that our interviews must have occupied the whole of that night."
Could you imagine such an experience? It would be, indeed, amazing.
   Post for the day. ^_^
Hello.
God be with you.
Alma 26
(starts with Alma, a returned missionary, praising God for the salvation of their brethren.)
7 But behold, they are in the hands of the Lord of the harvest, and they are his; and he will raise them up at the last day.
8 Blessed be the name of our God; let us sing to his praise, yea, let us give thanks to his holy name, for he doth work righteousness forever.
9 For if we had not come up out of the land of Zarahemla, these our dearly beloved brethren, who have so dearly beloved us, would still have been racked with hatred against us, yea, and they would also have been strangers to God.
10 And it came to pass that when Ammon had said these words, his brother Aaron rebuked him, saying: Ammon, I fear that thy joy doth carry thee away unto boasting.
11 But Ammon said unto him: I do not boast in my own strength, nor in my own wisdom; but behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God.
12 Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever.
   Hello.
John 3:16-17 (Read it!)
Psalm 92 and 96...or 98...
If you are faithful and strong in God's Gospel, obedient and repentant and humble, and faithful in Jesus's Atoning sacrifice...you'll be fine. It's hard, but it is worth it. Think of an eternity and joy.
Thanks to all of my friendly visitors (including katocool), correspondents (including night_shade2 and xsakurax), and friends (including Refi, or tiggerola, Alex, or destinyssweetman). And everyone else, as well. :D Take care.
Here are pocket hugs for you all. Take care, you guys. Love and kindness to you. God and Jesus Christ love you, too--far better than I ever could!
Take care.
   Hello.....^___^
Hi, people. Nobody's commented lately. Are you all busy? ^` O.O `^
XD It's okay. Here are my quotes for the day.
Mosiah 14
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb so he opened not his mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment; and who shall declare his generation? For he was cut off out of the land of the living; for the transgressions of my people was he stricken.
9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no evil, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief; when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
11 He shall see the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied; by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death; and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bore the sins of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
TESTIMONY OF
THE PROPHET JOSEPH SMITH
The Prophet Joseph Smith’s own words about the coming forth of the Book of Mormon are:
“On the evening of the . . . twenty-first of September [1823] . . . I betook myself to prayer and supplication to Almighty God . . . .
“While I was thus in the act of calling upon God, I discovered a light appearing in my room, which continued to increase until the room was lighter than at noonday, when immediately a personage appeared at my bedside, standing in the air, for his feet did not touch the floor.
“He had on a loose robe of most exquisite whiteness. It was a whiteness beyond anything earthly I had ever seen; nor do I believe that any earthly thing could be made to appear so exceedingly white and brilliant. His hands were naked, and his arms also, a little above the wrists; so, also, were his feet naked, as were his legs, a little above the ankles. His head and neck were also bare. I could discover that he had no other clothing on but this robe, as it was open, so that I could see into his bosom.
“Not only was his robe exceedingly white, but his whole person was glorious beyond description, and his countenance truly like lightning. The room was exceedingly light, but not so very bright as immediately around his person. When I first looked upon him, I was afraid; but the fear soon left me.
“He called me by name, and said unto me that he was a messenger sent from the presence of God to me, and that his name was Moroni; that God had a work for me to do; and that my name should be had for good and evil among all nations, kindreds, and tongues, or that it should be both good and evil spoken of among all people.
“He said there was a book deposited, written upon gold plates, giving an account of the former inhabitants of this continent, and the source from whence they sprang. He also said that the fulness of the everlasting Gospel was contained in it, as delivered by the Savior to the ancient inhabitants;
“Also, that there were two stones in silver bows—and these stones, fastened to a breastplate, constituted what is called the Urim and Thummim—deposited with the plates; and the possession and use of these stones were what constituted Seers in ancient or former times; and that God had prepared them for the purpose of translating the book.
* * * * * * *
“Again, he told me, that when I got those plates of which he had spoken—for the time that they should be obtained was not yet fulfilled—I should not show them to any person; neither the breastplate with the Urim and Thummim; only to those to whom I should be commanded to show them; if I did I should be destroyed. While he was conversing with me about the plates, the vision was opened to my mind that I could see the place where the plates were deposited, and that so clearly and distinctly that I knew the place again when I visited it.
“After this communication, I saw the light in the room begin to gather immediately around the person of him who had been speaking to me, and it continued to do so, until the room was again left dark, except just around him, when instantly I saw, as it were, a conduit open right up into heaven, and he ascended until he entirely disappeared, and the room was left as it had been before this heavenly light had made its appearance.
“I lay musing on the singularity of the scene, and marveling greatly at what had been told to me by this extraordinary messenger; when, in the midst of my meditation, I suddenly discovered that my room was again beginning to get lighted, and in an instant, as it were, the same heavenly messenger was again by my bedside.
“He commenced, and again related the very same things which he had done at his first visit, without the least variation; which having done, he informed me of great judgments which were coming upon the earth, with great desolations by famine, sword, and pestilence; and that these grievous judgments would come on the earth in this generation. Having related these things, he again ascended as he had done before.
“By this time, so deep were the impressions made on my mind, that sleep had fled from my eyes, and I lay overwhelmed in astonishment at what I had both seen and heard. But what was my surprise when again I beheld the same messenger at my bedside, and heard him rehearse or repeat over again to me the same things as before; and added a caution to me, telling me that Satan would try to tempt me (in consequence of the indigent circumstances of my father’s family), to get the plates for the purpose of getting rich. This he forbade me, saying that I must have no other object in view in getting the plates but to glorify God, and must not be influenced by any other motive than that of building His kingdom; otherwise I could not get them.
“After this third visit, he again ascended into heaven as before, and I was again left to ponder on the strangeness of what I had just experienced; when almost immediately after the heavenly messenger had ascended from me the third time, the cock crowed, and I found that day was approaching, so that our interviews must have occupied the whole of that night.
“I shortly after arose from my bed, and, as usual, went to the necessary labors of the day; but, in attempting to work as at other times, I found my strength so exhausted as to render me entirely unable. My father, who was laboring along with me, discovered something to be wrong with me, and told me to go home. I started with the intention of going to the house; but, in attempting to cross the fence out of the field where we were, my strength entirely failed me, and I fell helpless on the ground, and for a time was quite unconscious of anything.
“The first thing that I can recollect was a voice speaking unto me, calling me by name. I looked up, and beheld the same messenger standing over my head, surrounded by light as before. He then again related unto me all that he had related to me the previous night, and commanded me to go to my father and tell him of the vision and commandments which I had received.
I obeyed; I returned to my father in the field, and rehearsed the whole matter to him. He replied to me that it was of God, and told me to go and do as commanded by the messenger. I left the field, and went to the place where the messenger had told me the plates were deposited; and owing to the distinctness of the vision which I had had concerning it, I knew the place the instant that I arrived there."
If you skipped, please read the above quotes!
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's true church on the earth today. I feel the truth of that, as you feel the existence of hope and happiness and joy and peace and love. In accepting our Creator, Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, we come to have not just immortality, but eternal joy and life. And remember that we are all Heavenly Father's spirit children and have His love and His potential. In our Lord and Savior, God's Son, Jesus Christ's holy name, name.
Fact of the day: Did you know that there is no subconscious? At least, not in psychology. It is the unconscious. Which I suppose makes sense, at least in some ways. When the subconscious comes out in dreams, we're unconscious, right?
   Hi-za!
Fact of the day: White light is all the colors of the rainbow--light form--combined. But in pigments, it's opposite. All the colors combined make brown or black. Something like that.
I suspect it's because of this. When we see something as a certain color, it is because the object absorbs some light wavelenghts and reflects others. The ones it reflects are or combine to create the color we see. (The combination effect can be seen in the coloring of Sunday comics. Or at least the old ones.)
However, when you mix opposite pigments, you're getting opposite colors all mixed up. (The Sunday comics.) If the pigments mix more perfectly together...or something...all of the waves are being absorbed, due to the different pigments.
Please tell me if any of the second and third paragraph are correct. They are a combination of fact and theory.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I won't be friends with the pink-haired guy. (PLEASE KEEP READING!) I prayed about it, and it didn't feel right.

Heavenly Father doesn't arbitrarily makes us leave friends. There is a reason, even if I don't know it. It may be for Brandon's sake, or mine, or both. Heavenly Father isn't abandoning Brandon for me. We are all children of our Heavenly Father and just as important to Him and Jesus Christ. They love us all and want the best for us. They are watching over Brandon and me.

And it gets easier to accept. I don't know Brandon well enough to really miss him--I haven't even seen him, I don't think, since my last post. And we barely ever work the same hours. I prayed that, even though I wanted to see him, he wouldn't work Saturday when I did--and he didn't.

I cannot give up Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and an eternity of joy for a potential, mortal friendship Brandon. I have otehr friends and other people to befriend. Maybe he needs to be friends with someone else right now. And besides, this way, if we both make it to eternal salvation, we can be friends there. If it is possible and right, I will try to be friends with him in eternity.

It really is helpful that I never got so involved that I had to break ties. We had barely talked.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So don't worry about me. I'll pray for Brandon and for all of you. It is better for us to be saved separately--for while we are here to help God to bring His children to salvation, different people are the correct servants of God to help different people.

Love and hugs. Take care. Be strong in faith in Heavenly Father. He knows what's best for us.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was blowing bubbles for my 3-year-old nephew this evening. I could see the bubbles I blew--pretty much all of them. He couldn't always, though, unless I was able to get his attention and direct him to look where they were.
Sound familiar?
Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us all. Strive to be worthy to obey the Holy Ghost, which will bring us to Them, through faith and obedience and repentance.
Trust me, I need to work on it, too.
Love, hugs, and take care. Be strong, friends. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us, too. Remember that, and strive to be near Them and Their Spirit. Love.
   Testimony
I testify that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is our Lord and our God's one true and living Church on the earth today. I do not mean that other churches have no truth at all--many or most do. But this Church is the only one with the fulness of God's Gospel and truth.
Jesus is the Christ. He died for us that justice can be paid, so that mercy may have us--so He could redeem our souls. He was resurrected so that we will all have immortality and can have eternal salvation--a perfect, joyful eternity in God's presence, earning like wisdom and with like glory.
This all depends on us as well. Will we accept Jesus Christ's Atonement, that brings us back into spiritual alignment with Him and Heavenly Father? Will we obey as well? I hope that we will. I'll pray for you. Please pray for me, each other, and most importantly, yourselves.
And read the Book of Mormon. Accept Moroni's challenge.
And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.
(Moroni 10:4-5)
Then shall you know the truth. In our Lord Jesus Christ's holy name. Amen.
And please read Moroni 10 more fully and closely.
Some verses from there:
8 And again, I exhort you, my brethren, that ye deny not the gifts of God, for they are many; and they come from the same God. And there are different ways that these gifts are administered; but it is the same God who worketh all in all; and they are given by the manifestations of the Spirit of God unto men, to profit them.
9 For behold, to one is given by the Spirit of God, that he may teach the word of wisdom;
10 And to another, that he may teach the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
11 And to another, exceedingly great faith; and to another, the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
12 And again, to another, that he may work mighty miracles;
13 And again, to another, that he may prophesy concerning all things;
[...]
17 And all these gifts come by the Spirit of Christ; and they come unto every man severally, according as he will.
18 And I would exhort you, my beloved brethren, that ye remember that every good gift cometh of Christ.
19 And I would exhort you, my beloved brethren, that ye remember that he is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and that all these gifts of which I have spoken, which are spiritual, never will be done away, even as long as the world shall stand, only according to the unbelief of the children of men.
20 Wherefore, there must be faith; and if there must be faith there must also be hope; and if there must be hope there must also be charity [the pure love of Christ].
Proverbs 15:16-17
Better is little with the fear [reverence, respect, honor] of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith.
Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.
   Hi!
Thanks, Katocool. ^_^
Proverbs 12:15, 17-18
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.
There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.
I would like your guys' advice. There is a guy at work who I will call Brandon. That's not his real name. He has a really cool name, but I am keeping to my no-real-names policy. Partly on the paranoia that if he ironically was a MyO and came across my site, this would be embarassing.
Anywho, Brandon makes me curious. He has pink hair. Why pink? Why not blue? And his real name is cool, too. I want to know where his parents got his name. And he seems nice in our conversational time of about 4 minutes. XD
But, as my friend Adain said, talk to him and be a friend at work. Then see if he seems to be someone I can hang out with outside of work. (No, not as a potential romance.) Because I feel like I shouldn't...at least not really....And what Heavenly Father wants me to do is for my best interests and benefit, so I should accept and comply.
D&C 124: 90 (89-93)
And if he will do this I will bless him with a multiplicity of blessings, that he shall not be forsaken, nor his seed be found begging bread.
Proverbs 11:9-12
He that is despised, and hath a servant, is better than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.
A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.
The wicked desireth the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit.
Proverbs 11
The state and rewards of the righteous and the wicked are contrasted—When a wicked man dies, his expectations perish—He that winneth souls is wise.
1 A FALSE balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.
2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.
4 Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.
5 The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
[…]
7 When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth.
8 The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.
9 An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.
10 When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.
11 By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted:
but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
12 He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.
13 A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
[…]
16 A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.
17 The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.
18 The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.
19 As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.
20 They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.
21 Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
22 As a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.
23 The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.
24 There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.
25 The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
26 He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.
27 He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.
28 He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.
29 He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.
30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
31 Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.
Fact of the day: Basically, fruits are products of flowers that somehow carry or hold the seeds. So lots of things are fruits, such as fruit, cucumbers, squashes....
Thanks to Adain for the thought!
