Hello, everyone, and welcome to this little box canyon of the wide world of the internet! This page is kind of no-frills, but at the very least, you guys don't have to wait for a background, ten GIF files, a bunch of pictures, and a MIDI file to load, right? No offense to anyone else, when it works, it comes off very well, but, well, my computer is kind of crappy, and it takes me a long time to load a lot of the pages out there. Anyway, check out my GB, and my Fan Art, which I'll try to be better with. Also, I'll be adding new posts on an irregular basis of days/weeks/years/whenever I feel like it. So, whatever you plan to do, enjoy it!

"The Haze clears from your eyes on a sunday, on a sunday..."
-Sunday, by Jimmy Eat World

Hello, everybody! How's life been treating you? I'm doing all right. I just went to a Speech and Debate meet in Star Valley, where I got 1st in Oratory, and 3rd in Original Interp. Afterward, I immediately rushed to the Valentine's Day dance back here in Podunk, Wyoming. For a Valentine's day Dance, there was a lot more Rap and Hick Music than there was actual slow dance music, but I had a pretty good time nonetheless, and Miroshi (internet name for one of my best friends.) hooked up with a girl at the dance. So...hooray for Miroshi! Over the course of the entire dance, they only played 3 slow songs, and...oh, wait, I suppose you guys deserve a little bit of background.

So, there's this girl at my school named Mandy. Well, actually, there's two Mandys, and Miroshi hooked up with the first one. The second one is his cousin, and, coincidentally, she's the one I really, really like. I asked her to the dance, and, while she didn't say no, she didn't say yes. She did, however say SOMETHING, and I suppose that works. She said that she'd meet me there, because she's not old enough to date yet. Anyway, I danced with her once at the dance, before her dad came to pick her up. So...bummer.

RADIANCE UPDATE:

Just finished inking and coloring a pic of Beorhun and a pic of Samantha, and am working on a picture of Kaichi. Also, randomly drew the main antagonist for the story, named, what else? Verian.

Verian: An operative for the Order. Ruthless, cunning, and very, very smart, Verian uses a rapier and a gunblade as his weapons.

Oh, the Order is a faction on the side of the war that the story centers around. More on that later. The scanner I have has been on the fritz, so HOPEFULLY I'll be able to get everything on the site by the end of the week. If not, then...sorry.

Well, anyway, I had a really great weekend, but I've got a ton of homework to work on right now, so, later everybody, and I hope you all had as good of a weekend as I did.

Holy Crapamoli....it's been a very long time...
Hello, people! Uh...sorry in advance for not showing up in...what was it, a year? Half a year? Well, it's still a ridiculously long time, and a lot has happened since then. Still, what's been going on around Otaku since I left? Apparently a lot, or, at least, I hope it's a lot.

I retooled the Beorhun story, so now it's...well, I'll post on it later, let's just say that it's been vastly redone, and I think it's pretty cool and unique. I've got sketches of all the new characters, including the new Beorhun (pretty much the same, minus the tatoos, and he now fights with...well, it's pretty neat.) I've been drawing a lot in Geometry, which isn't very good, considering that I've got a 3.5 GPA that I should keep up (Yay! Me finally smart! LOL.). I'm also still in Speech and Debate and Band, and I got the lead in a recent school play! I will be playing Horton in the school's production of Seussical the Musical (Yay!). You know, Horton the Elephant? Horton Hears a Who? Yeah, that Horton. It's really cool. Life's treating me well lately, I have to say. Oh, and I kind of, sort of, almost have a girlfriend (we're meeting at the valentine's day dance this saturday.) It's not much, but it's better than last year, right?

Okay, so, I'll write more about Radiance (Beorhun's story) later, but I'd like to introduce the characters and the genre. First off, it's a Fantasy Western. Yeah, sort of like...Trigun mixed with Lord of the Rings. Beorhun hasn't really changed, other than he doesn't use a spear and bow, but rather a sword and a pair of pistols. The other characters include:

Tetchen: A warrior chief from the Jungles of Chunakan, whose face is covered in tattoos, and he uses the spear and bow.

Karchi: A lizard man from the deserts to the south, who is remarkably fast and can spit fire, and he can climb up solid rock walls.

Samantha: A pirate captain of the ship Ebon Rose, she uses a shotgun and dual longswords. Her and Beorhun have a sort of romance going on, but neither one wants to admit it.

That's a brief overview of the characters. I'll be submitting pictures of all of them (in color! Yeah, I know that I haven't had a lot of color pics...ever.) I've changed up my drawing style. It's more like a hybrid of anime and american cartoons. I'm still not very good, but whatever, I'm working on it.

Well, more on all of that later. It was pretty good to post again, after so long. So, uh...yeah, C y'all later!

   Grrrrr....
Stupid...fanart submissions! I tried putting on a color pic of Verian that I just finished up with, but the site rejected it! It's dimensions were 913x700 pixels. Come on, people!!! I get a really cool pic of Verian, one of my favorite that I've drawn, and the site doesn't accept it...for...reasons...I...can't find!!! I'm going to try and get everything together and try again, and hopefully it'll work!

Sorry, that's just been bugging me.

   Hello, people.
You know what? I really do like the name Pale Dawn, so I'm sticking with that, even if it might be used in the other project, which doesn't even have a code name yet. Anyway, I've got a few pics that I drew up, one of them is a new, redesigned Beorhun, which I haven't colored (and I AM starting to color them, lol.) and then of the main character, who is named Verian. I'm a huge Fire Emblem fan, and I'm really looking forward to GC version of Fire Emblem. So on that note, Verian is a Wyvern Rider (one of the classes in Fire Emblem, for those who haven't played the game.)
I'm really getting into the story right now, and so far, I think it's pretty good, but I still have to hammer out a few things and a few more characters before its totally done. However, Verian is...sort of an older, more over the hill warrior, who's pushing the limits of his health and age to protect what he holds dear. Beorhun is the more standard anime hero, younger, athletic, and overall just pretty awesome. However, from what I have, Beorhun isn't even introduced into the story until a bit later on.

The basic story is this: the whole thing takes place a few hundred years after a nuclear war that destroyed much of Earth's surface. Before the bombs started falling, a German scientist named Johan Kyros created a small haven in the clouds, where the richer and more important people would go to restart humanity. This society was made to be perfect in almost every way, no guns, no cars to pollute the air, and no worrying about waste, becuase the world below was dead and empty, meaning hundreds of miles of landfill for the people above. From this one haven, others were made as mankind spread across the clouds. People found Dragons and Wyverns, creatures no one had ever seen until they began life in the skies, and they had to find ways to defend themselves from hostile creatures. Still, though, some people survived the nuclear holocaust one the surface, and they began to research to make devices that could raise them into the clouds to revenge their ancestors on the ones that cast them out. At the beginning of the plot, Verian is retiring from the aero guard (a group of people who keep the havens safe from Dragons and wild Wyverns) when his city is attacked by the people who are on the dead surface. He barely escapes on his tame wyvern in time, and he sees his city get laid to waste. Thus the story begins.

That's what I've got so far. Yeah, it probably does sound a little like the plot to some obscure manga I've never heard of, but almost all of that came from my mind. Anyway, I'm going to send in a few fan arts of some of the characters. So...until a later day, people of the otaku...

   It's finally over!
Hello, everyone! School's finally over for me! I just went to my brother's graduation ceremony, and now, now it's all finished. I don't have to worry about anything until September! Oh, man, I just completely spent my usual amount of exclamation points in a post, but it's so exiting!!! T_T...It's so...beautiful... Oh, I am so happy! I've finished working out the story of a manga that I'm going to work on. It's a revival of the old Beorhun story, with Hierokhan and everyone. Right now it's under the working title Noble Skies, but I've got a bunch of other names. Here are a few:

1. Noble Skies
2. Blazing Skies
3. Pale Dawn
4. Sea of Clouds

Pale Dawn is one of the potential chapter names in the...other project that I still (!) need to keep secret. Anyway, what do you think of those names? I'm kind of leaning to Noble Skies, but I'd like some opinions on it. I scrapped Beorhun's original origin (craziness) becuase it didn't jive well with the rest of the story. I'm hoping to finish a second draft of my 'Project Header' with the title and everything, and I think it'll be pretty cool. I've also kind of realized (after some really good constructive critisism from a friend) that my fan art is a little bit boring...what do you guys think of that?

Anyway, back on task. Everything's worked itself out, and I'm feeling a lot better now that it's all over. About...her, you know, HER, well, I guess I won't be seeing very much of her over the summer, seeing as her entire family's going to be gone most of June, I think. Oh, well, Miroshi and all my other friends are still going to be here. Weather's been really nice and warm, which is good, because up until about the beginning of May (I know!) it seemed like Winter was never going to end. I think that I'm finally over my 'Blargh'-ness, so that's also good. Well, happy summer, everybody!!!

Oh, yeah. This is why I play four swords with 'Red Link' Miroshi. We're always at each other's throats, ask him! I think that this is accurate.
AWESOME! I love this show, and Vash is my favorite character. Well, I just thought I'd add another quiz result.
