Welcome to the long awaited Home of the Electric Monk!

I should probably explain what an electric monk is. Another brilliant product of Douglas Adams, an electric monk is a "labor saving device" using his examples: an electric monk is like a dishwasher or a video recorder. A dishwasher washes dishes for you so that you don't have to do it yourself. A video recorder watches TV for you so that you don't have to do it yourself, and electric monks believe things for you, saving you valuable time and energy.

So there you go. I believe things. Unless I believe in being a skeptic for the moment. But someone has to believe in that too don't they?

February
Well, I don't have much to say, but I'll post just to get one on once a month. My site is STILL locked. I can't see my portfolio. As far as I know Dead and Undead never got on. This is making me grumpy. I'm sick AND out of X-files so there may be some more stuff going on here. I'll try to actually draw that Supernatural thing that I showed you guys this summer. Did you know you were hard to draw?

Back!
Happy New Year everybody! The ElectricMonk is back in action! I finally shoveled through my entire email account and found my password. Now I must go around and see what everyone has been saying about me while I was gone.

   I'm going to post.
I haven’t posted in a while. The Eighth Sin is good about posting often, I’m going to try to keep up with her. I have finished Harry Potter so you wont hear more about that for a while. Just don’t get me started on Colin Creevy. Or the Lupins. Chances are when Smallville and Supernatural come back on you’ll be hearing a lot about that. I don’t have a lot to say.

Oh, I too am a member of Unsaid Works. I even have a character. Her name is Cookie because if a Chips Ahoy cookie turned into a person she is what it would look like. At least I think so. She’s this awesome wandering samari type deal. Very stoic. Takes out thieves and protects small villages and stuff. I don’t know if she’s a match for a demon, but she’s got as good a chance as Trini, Dancer, or about all the others. I only have the one character. Mostly I’m supposed to keep everyone else on task while they are working, show them the screen writing formats and stuff. Usually I just fall asleep while they are talking. That’s probably why Cookie hasn’t made any real appearances in the plot yet. And why they are telling me she is only half Cho’hoyan. Cookie MADE Cho’hoyns. Really though I don’t fall asleep because I’m board or anything. I fall asleep when I get content. I guess that’s odd.

I’ve got a strip that is supposed to be being posted within the next little while but I have a feeling I will have to resubmit The Adventures of Dead and Undead. It’s about parahuman and I,Myself. My upcoming Supernatural spoof has Echo and Sin in it. I just hope I can draw them as accurately as I’ve drawn the other two. I hope to get more feedback on those than on my Tatitia ones. All the above mentioned people commented, but I already had most of their feelings on the subject. Martholamew and Nephew are doomed to never be explained because the rest of Tatitia may never appear again to man. Both of MY characters are character foils to THEIR characters and don’t make much since on their own. With Cookie I have been wiser. Wise enough? That remains to be seen.

To copy the Eighth Sin some more I can talk about what I’ve been writing. But I haven’t been writing anything. For a long time. My Auntie Basil has hinted that she will be unpleasant at Christmas if I do not have an end to a screenplay that I started for a school project last semester. The middle of the thing is what I really need. Maybe I can post bits of that … It’s not the a very good screen play, but if you’ve never read one maybe it wont bother you! The Masquerade. I’ve been saving it to work on in the autumn, so I really should start.

Some other ideas I’ve been kicking around… A few superhero things. One rather classic, cheesy and dark which is classic for superhero genre, from the point of view of the supervillian. Lady Snake. She gets some of them but the heroes always win in the end, which I thought can be pretty interesting. Look at Lex Luthor in Smallville or Zuko in Avatar. There guys were born losers but they are still more interesting than the main characters most times. Like Calvin in Calvin and Hobbes she always comes away having learned the wrong lesson. Through the whole thing we get to watch her self destruct like Dorian Gray. A genuinely miserable main character is a little much, but it is fun to play with. Sin, you’ve never seen me write violence have you? Ha, I never have either. The second I am very proud of but is another collaborative work, Fireflyman. It is more trying to be funny. You can guess what his super power is. Funnily enough I think we have more chance of hitting truth with this one than with any of the others. Some hard, resonating truth. Naturally my siblings are not interested in continuing. I was thinking of doing it in the form a radio show so we could practice voice acting.

Around the Galaxy is another one that I see potential of good stuff in. I think ATG was going to be in screenplay format. What do I have that everyone who will bother to read this doesn’t know about?… Kudos for even sticking around this long guys. Creia, of course, never really leaves me. I have one involving a star that popped up at the same time as Sin’s star stuff. It’s really amazing how often we do that. We don’t talk about what we write all that much, especially in the beginning stages but we have parallel ideas often. Anyways, I think mine was going to be a romance really, but it took off in odd directions. If he remains such a jerk it will never fly as a romance. I started a story for all of the Hyde children up they keep coming! Some sort of little classic fantasy.

Oh! I have The Samantha Mystique. That’s a nonfiction in the making. I’m looking forward to that. I guess I don’t really have anything definable that I haven’t already made you guys listen to. There’s The Lady and the Minstrel. I’ve told some of you about that. Mostly I just have odds and ends.

I’ll try to think of something interesting to post about next time. This was fun though. For me. Goodnight!

Teddy
Nye got out and came home with a ripped up little bunny. We can't see that it is fatal, but you never can with bunnies. It's in a box. If it lives I'm going to name it Teddy! Yeah little Teddy!

   Our Second Death
Hey Uncute Dean. We got to our second death. No one was better, no one more pure of heart. Few had fought He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named longer. Few would have had the courage to do what he did. Maybe none were so loyal. And my dad's voice for him was really awsome. So, I'm sad. I thought he might already be dead though. This was the best, most glorious death possible for him. He was awsome. I might have had more to say, but I can't remember it right now. OOOOhhhhh Lucious is in SO much trouble...
