Conflict, decision making and assertiveness skills have been presented this semester. How have you applied these skills to your own life to promote healthy active living?

I am concider myself a mix of these thre diffrent types of assertivness. I can be at time quite aggressive when mad, I yell and I tend to ruin things around me by kicking objects around or throwing object. When I’m ******, I just don’t care what’s going on around me and let almost anything slide by without caring. When some one is yelling at me, I’m usually not paying attention to them. And then I’m passive. I don’t want any one touching me and I don’t want anyone to talk to me and I feel uncomfortable. You could even say I’m skitzafrenic because of my always changing emotions.

gym exam 2/12th
1)

I run 2 km every Monday.
Not regularly but I do yoga.
Badminton
Tennis
Squash
Paint ball
Shooting ( Targets)
Canoeing
Scuba diving
Every 2 weeks I dance( as a hobby with friends.)

In canoeing you would need a life vest so in case of the boat tipping or that if some one was to fall out of the canoe you wouldn’t drowned. Especially If u were unconscious in the boat.
In paint ball we were protective padding / armour, so the impact of the paint wont hurt as much.
Stretching before you do any physical activity to reduce risk of sprains , twist and pulled muscles.

2)

Physical activity.
How dose your understanding of the various activities in this course helped you to come a better participant and in doing , moved you towards a healthier more active life style?
It has introduced me to some great sports that I have never played before it has made me want to play that game more often at home with friends .

Healthy living.
Growth and sexuality
Responsibility
When your irresponsible (I.e. not using protection or not checking the persons sex back ground.) can lead to pregnancy and or spread to spread of STD’s and viruses, which can affect you for the rest of your life.

Substance use
Major factors.
Knowing the major factors which can lead to substance use and abuse can help u avoid them. It teaches you like all the advertisements saying that the cigarettes are not as sophisticated and glamorous as it in the pictures and in fact in real life its pretty boring and then u get hooked.

Personal safety.
Types of physical and non physical.
It teaches us how to identify when friend or even out selves is being abused and with that information we can get out selves out of a situation before I gets out of hand.

1/12th gym exam due tommorow
How has your understanding of the various activities in this course helped you to become a better participant and in so doing, moved you towards a healthier more active life style?
It has allowed me to be more confident in myself and my skills, so now I want to participate more.
How dose your knowledge strategies and game tactics helped you improve upon and any other skills that you learned for the very first time?
It allows you to better understand how to use the skills taught to u and u will be able to learn new sports more efficiently

List three skills from different sports that you improve upon and any other skills that you learned for the very first time.
-Lay ups in basket ball. Because now I know how to do a proper lay up, I miss less frequently.
-In badminton I have learnt how to smash instead of only doing only long distance hits.
-volley ball I learnt to bump properly, so now I have less of a chance of breaking my fingers.

Catholic Schoolgirls
written by Casey Kurtti

( Elizabeth is a second grade student at coed catholic school. She has been elected to give a tour of the church to a group of kindergarten students.)
Elizabeth: Okay everybody. This ... is church. This is God's house. If you ever want to talk to Him, you just come in here and sit in one of those long chairs and start talking. But not too loud. Or else you might wake up one of those statues. And they are praying to Jesus. (Bows head) Oh! I forgot to tell you. Whenever you hear the name Jesus (Bows head) you have to bow your head or else you have a sin on your soul. Now, over there is the statue of Jesus' (bows head) mother. Her name is the Blessed Virgin Mary. She is not as important as Jesus (bows head) so you don't have to bow your head when you hear her name. Over there is the statue of Jesus' (bows head) father. Hey, (points at small child) you didn't bow your head. Don't do that cause you'll get a black spot on your soul and you go straight to hell. Now, in hell it is really hot and you sweat a lot. And these little devils come and they bite you all over the place. But if you're really good, you get to go to heaven. Now, in heaven they have this big refrigerator full of lots of stuff to eat! Like ice cream, and chocolate and donuts and it never runs out. But the best part about heaven would have to be that you can talk to anybody you want to. Let's just say that I wanted to talk to... (thinks real hard) Cleopatra! Well, then I would go up to one of the Saints and I would get a permission slip and I would fill it out. Then I would hand it to Jesus (bows head). Hey! (Looks at small child again) You didn't bow your head! Okay, I warned you. And then, I would fly across heaven, cause when you get in they gives you wings, and I would have a nice chat with Cleopatra. I just hope everyone I like get accepted into heaven, or else I won't ever see them again. One more thing, if you ever ask Jesus (bows head) a question and he answers you, make sure you write down the answer really quick, so you don't mess it up. Because, if you mess up an answer from Him, it could get you in real trouble.

geog dont reply gah damn report
The density of Canada’s population is fairly clustered towards the south, near the boarder, mainly around great lakes and in urban areas in which companies are looking for workers. Most of the population is found in southern Ontario and Quebec. This is because these provinces are located near the boarder between Canada and the U.S meaning easier transportation for exporting and exporting between out countries. Also these two areas located near large water bodies. ( Lake Ontario, Saint Lawrence river.) this is also good for imports and exports and also a good source for water. The main cities always will have larger populations than smaller cities. (To show an example, lets say we compare Toronto to Waterdown. Waterdown isn’t nearly even a quarter of Toronto.) Huge companies / industries are most of the time located in these areas like Toronto, Hamilton and Vancouver and because of that it attracts jobs for people. So people will often move near ( or closer) to there work place so that they don’t have to commute as far to work every day. These are only a few reasons to why the density of Canada is so clustered towards the south of the boarder.
