Meh.
Fooling around with my audio recorder. I managed to must up confidence to actually upload something. Here's a spacy, melody of some sort

Here's the link to the crappy solo and backing I made. Just testing that the recorder worked. Pretty much made up that shit on the spot. Atonal, fast, and death metal the way I like it. I know I suck on "drums" (really drum programming freeware I ripped off somewhere).

And if you couldn't load that, I made a profile here

I promise when I have time, I might actually come up with something good. School never lets me practice much unfortunately ;.; only 3 more weeks to go though!!!

Other than that, going okay I guess, been getting a little depressed more often, which kind of worries me even more. I mean, I've felt sad before like everyone else has, but it was usually for a good reason, not at random, and only lasted a day. This seems to be more pervasive and more chronic... I hope I didn't inherit the genes for maj. depression... I believe our family has a history of it. I hope it goes away, because really, there's nothing I should be sad about. Well.. almost. But I'm not going to talk about stuff to bring shit out in the open, I don't think I'm ready to reveal all my personal things.

Anyway, tell me something cool, funny, sad, happy, whatever it is that is making your day. yeah.... I've got nothin' :B *tumbleweed*

FOOD
I hate the lady on this cooking show, tries too hard to be funny, but it makes me laugh at how bad the acting is. But damn, the food looks GOOD.

I'm learning how to cook and stuff, not good at it, but so far I'm getting better at making Italian food. Having a party tonight, and I want to try adding some flavor in the steaks I'm grilling.

Hmm.. don't know what else to talk about... so here's a clip from Wonder Showzen.

It is a satire that used to run on MTV2 around 1 am, I believe around 2006 or so.. I wish they still had it on... so offensive but funny as hell.

Oh btw, here's an awesome picture

Disasters (anyone not from Michigan can disregard this)
Aside from the tsunamis and earhtquakes, we're screwed.

You can ignore this if you're not from MI

While I take anything that Rachel Maddow says with a grain of salt, this issue kind of irritates me. Problems and unemployment in the Detroit and Flint area especially is increasing. No matter if you're a republican or a democrat, the damage isn't going to reverse itself for a few years now....

Piss... I can't decide whether I want to live in Dallas, Texas, Canada or Spain (Japan is out of the question for now).

At least we're not North Dakota :P

MyO still doesn't let me change my site.
wtf MyO, wtf?! I'm tired of this layout and colors and shit.

My friend got a guitar for $40 with a built in amp. It's sweet, and I want a banjo :o

Nothing important really. Just watchin' some more Yu Yu Hakusho epis.

Want to read my best post ever?

Yeah, snow and I are not best friends. I am also a January baby. Why, why so cruel ;__; why couldn't I have been born in July, or in Nevada in a desert some place where it's 100 degrees? So cold...

Oh, and I love this show:

Fruits Basket
I liked the answers (especially SolemnSerpent's answer to #3, hilarity). I got an ipod shuffle couple days ago, it wasn't originally mine so technically I got it for free. It's pretty awesome, it can hold 250 songs, 150 more than my last mp3 player, which I had for a whopping 7 years (it still works really good too). Watched a David Lynch film, Eraserhead. I... was so confused. It's a freaky, weird movie. Still don't get it. It can't be explained. I could never decipher Lynch films, I still don't understand Inland Empire, too much symbolism. Maybe that's the point... idk.

On more manga I've read recently, I can't believe I hadn't jumped on the Fruits Basket wagon a long time ago. A few years ago, I probably wouldn't have even considered reading it, but now, I'm pretty open with anything so I decided to check it out. If you're human, the ending would've made you cry, and I never cry :P

For those who aren't familiar, Tohru is a naive but extremely generous and kind-hearted girl, left homeless after her mother's death, meets a family of people who are possessed by the Zodiac spirits that turn into their respective Zodiac animals when coming in contact with the opposite sex. Kyo is the sign of the cat, rejected by the Zodiac, a total hothead, and head over heels with Tohru obviously. If you haven't figured out by now that it's a shojo, it has got all the elements of comedy, drama, tragedy, and romance. My favorite has always been Shigure, probably since he's most like me XD it's interesting, sounds cutesy, but it's got its doses of action and angst with a sprinkle of hilarity. I'm pretty sure most of the anime fandom is familiar with it, I've never even heard of it until a couple years ago. It's a pretty nice story, 9/10 'cause nothing is perfect.

I've also been watching old epis of Yu Yu Hakusho. It was my first anime besides Pokemon... I believe I was about 7 or 8... it was amazing... has anyone else ever watched that?

Gibberish for "Hello monkeys".

Well, I obviously have nothing important to say. Answer these 3 questions. GO.

1. what's the first thing you do when you wake up?

2. What music are you listening to?

3. What happens when you divide by zero?

Recording stuff
I got my home studio gear and everything and recorded my first cover. It's pretty bad, but I'm new to recording and mixing... buttons are sooo confusing. I just had a hard time figuring out what an ASIO was (audio stream input/output; basically, the thing you record with. Hahaha I'm stupid.)

When I refine my technique and stuff I'll upload a song for y'all. I'm thinking a slower, more clean song, no vocals, just instrumental. I'm in a doom rock mood, lol.

Anyways, tell me what's going on with you guys; I get bored talking about myself all the time XD blogs are selfish things. Anything new with y'all, happy, sad, angry, what? Got any questions for me? See any good movies? :)

Hello new year!
To respond to the last post, the reason why is part philosophy, partly financial. I'm saving big for college. But also, I kinda have a thing where I don't believe I really need gifts, it's much more important to give to someone whose less fortunate. I like the traditional idea of just having a great time with family, but the western world just seems to spiral into materialistic commercialism.

This year is kinda different since I'm getting a few gifts before I head to college, just art supplies and music. I'm getting a recording system for my guitar and mic, so I'll be able to record some tracks and try to start an independent solo album :) I don't know exactly how it'll be done or what I want, but I've written a lot of stuff down and it's going to be an exciting process.

In other news, not much, watched TV for over 60 hours not counting the times I slept and ate. Haven't watched the tube in almost 2 years, I can see how it can get addicting.

Hm.. I also want to talk about some manga stuff, that never gets discussed often here, and many of us probably fell out of love with it and for me it is more of an off an on thing. I was never too much into it in the beginning, but after a few years I really got into it then my interest just trickled down and now I from time to time I may read or watch an anime. This week I rented some of manga from the library. Our school only has limited volumes so the stories are incomplete. Hopefully they'll get more. Now here are some short 'n sweet manga reviews I recommend to read!

Cromartie High School is a really funny comedy about the daily mishaps of juvenile deliquents in a special school for deliquents. Takashi Kamiyama is an above average student that transfers to the school with his friend Shinjiro Hayashida, a bunch of dummies, including a robot, a dude named Freddie that doesn't speak and is probably a foreigner (who looks like Freddie Mercury, srsly) and a gorilla (who, ironically, is the smartest of all the group). It's kinda like Azumanga Daioh, just a bunch of deliquents going through daily insanity of life. It's hilarious and makes a lot of 80's references. I've only read 2 volumes, but it's something I'd definitely buy. You can find some episodes on Youtube.

Another one I read was Vampire Kisses, Blood Relative. Now if you're like me, the title itself makes me a little bit squeamish and I'm already critical of it, but the reason why I decided to pick it up was the art that caught my eye. The story is by an American, and I'm not too fond of a lot ot OELs, mostly since the stories are often painfully cliché and the art is somewhat subpar to it's Japanese counterpart on terms on trying to draw Japanese style manga. Not that I don't appreciate Western style art, but it looks weird to see manga made by Western artists, and there's a few gems out there. But this manga looks like it is genuinely made shoujo from Japan. The artist is rem, check out her stuff here, she's quite a talented artist. It's published by Tokyopop so you can check it out on their site too. Otherwise, the story is just about a girl who meets and falls in love with a vampire who then runs into trouble with other vampires. Eh, story for me was about a 3/10, but it was the art that kept me reading, 8.5/10. So if you're into vampire romances or just some good art, look into it.

From Far Away is a manga about a girl Noriko who, when she gets caught in an explosion, gets transported to a fantasy far away land where she meets a man named Izark, and travels in this unknown world full of bandits and killers that try to get her for she is known as the "awakening" which has some significant power of some sort for these strangers. She has a troubling time adjusting to this world and it's language. I've only read one volume, but it is promising and I'd like to read more. This shoujo is adorable and full of action, I give it a 7/10.

So there you have it, some manga that might peak your interest if you'd like! I'll try to do these reviews more often. Have a good one!

G.D. Happy Holidays!!
Yo. I've had a hard month, but I made it out alive! No more people dying, and hopefully my mom won't either. A friend's in the hospital, and hopefully she'll be OK. Going to the doc tomorrow to find out if I have something, been having health problems. I'm optimistic though. Don't know why, just am. Maybe I'm just schizo. I don't know.

Christmas was great, didn't get anything, but I don't care. I was just happy to know that I gave presents that people liked :)

I'm going shopping online for my b-day anyways so it's all good.

I was gonna get on here and talk, but now I don't know what to say...

Well, happy holidays and hope New Years will be awesome :)
