   In Honor of Rupert...
For those of you who watched Survivor tonight, you know that Rupert was voted off by those damn backstabbers.

Rupert had to have been the strongest and most honest of the survivors.

And just for Jon's comment ("To be the man, you gotta beat the man."), I believe him to be an arrogant ass who needs to be kicked of the island.

But, here's to Rupert, loyal Drake and Balboa. May Lil, Jon, and Burton (and anyone else who dared to vote Rupert off) die miserable deaths.

   DPAK Rant #2- Shortness=Fragility?
What is it with taller people thinking those that are shorter (and skinnier) are fragile? I'll walk down the halls at school and notice two classifications of these people:

1) The 'let's-give-them-alot-of-space' tall people- When I'm walking down the hall, it's hard not to notice the fact that alot of taller people move for us short ones to pass through. And I'm not talking about a little bit of space, they try to go to the other side of the hall if they can. Oh yeah, I need a whole hall to make it through. Pfft.

2) The 'Oh my gosh-are-you-okay' people- When a shorter person, like myself, accidently bump into a taller person, the tall person will turn around to see what happened. If it's a female, she'll be all squeely, "OH MY GOSH! ARE YOU OKAY?! I DIDN'T SEE YOU! DID I HURT YOU?! ARE YOU OKAY?!" And I feel like responding with a hardy, "I was okay until you made me DEAF for a day!"

I don't think I deserve special treatment for my shortness. It's not like just because I'm short, every bone in my body will break on contact with another being. Or that I can't hear. >_> <_< Yeah. That's all for this rant.

DPAK's Question of the Day: Why do tall people treat smaller people as though they were fragile?

   DPAK Rant #1--Human Curiousity
In case you were curious of the title, I'm beginning a series of rants (only 4-5 right now) on random stuff. This first rant is about human curiousity and how we tend to react to fights (in schools).

As I was walking down the hall with my friend, we were going to her locker, we noticed a large clump of student gathered near a door (leading to another section of the building). My friend, who prefers to be left annoymous, tried to peek over the crowds to see what was going on...

"Is that a fight?" She asked.

"I do believe so." I replied.

"I wanna see." She stated as I tried to drag her towards her locker.

"It's just a fight."

"I've never seen a fight!"

"Fights are like wrecks. Everyone flocks around when one occurs." With this, we continued on our quest. I later heard tale of what happened, but I don't keep track of these things. I'm not big into the whole 'Oooo!-it's-a-fight-let's-watch' sorta thing.

So, I question the nature of human curiousity. What is it that drag us to sites of wrecks and fights? I believe it to be that, as the sinful creatures we are, people somewhat enjoy seeing havoc brought by said incidents.

DPAK's Question of the Day: What is your opinion on the nature of human curiousity?

Go Dpak! Go DPAK! It's your birthday...
I've actually started to teach myself to play Fukai Mori (my background music & coolest of the Inuyasha ending songs) on the Trumpet. I'm playing it by ear. I'll get it in my head, then whislte/hum it, then play it, edit it, and write it down.

So far, I have the part that goes Boku tachi wa, Ikeru hodoni(the part that repeats itself near the middle/endish) fully checked; I have the rest of the repeating part written down to what I think it is, but have yet to check it.

If you ever take up tmpt (trumpet) here's how the part I have done goes:
F F G A B-Flat G F A A B-Flat G E D E F A G (1st Ending) F A B-Flat C A (Repeat) (2nd Ending) G F E F G (End of what I have done)

The way the measures count (in order): 1& 2& 3(4)|1 2 3(4) &a|1& 2& 3 4|(1st Ending)1 2 3& 4:|(2nd ending)1& 2& 3(4)||

If you play Clarinet, Flute, or Oboe, just move each note up one and yu can play it!

Hope you enjoy!
