da da daa da da dum dum daa...
Let's copy both duo and SG! Can you guess what that's the opening of? *grins* It's the actual lyrics to the opening to an actual song. ^_^ Amy, you had better be able to guess this one!!!
I just realized that I'd started posting pics but no actual text yet today... ^_^ Those pics just say it all though... *sighs* I'm really pathetic... *shakes head* Ya know, they say he'll be the next James Bond...I believe it...^_~
Work's been kinda crazy...It'll be really slow and boring sometimes, and then everything happens at once and you can't handle it all. ^_^ It's lots of fun to show ppl the castle though. (I just got done doing that for a girl who's staying tomorrow night.) Next weekend's going to be really crazy. We have a full house both Friday and Saturday. Apparently, every hotel in Wichita is the same way. (There's a basketball thing going on...something like that.) So, we had this family who needed lots of rooms b/c they're having a funeral that weekend. Yesterday, they took the last rooms we had. It's gonna be really crazy, b/c I don't even know the names to put down for each room. They haven't decided on room assignments yet. *sighs* It's gonna be crazy.... O.o
Well, I'm gonna go eat lunch or something...I'm really thirsty right now... *sighs* and I'm rambling as usual.
~art~

EDIT: Amy!!! You're the DEVIL! You brought my total visits up to 666.... *evil grin*

   Just 5 more minutes....
Guess who slept late today?? yeah...me.... Oops! I forgot to set my alarm.... I had to be here at 9, and I woke up at 8:30... I'd intended on being up about two hours before that. (I was going to go to 8 a.m. Mass.)
Oh well. The point is, I got here. ^_^
Last night lovelyEowyn and I went to Borders, then to Old Chicago, and then to Walmart. ^_^ Neither of us felt like sitting around at home, and we needed to catch up. ^_^ She, duo, and Erin are staying at my house Sat. night to keep me company. ^_^ My family is leaving for Memphis Friday morning and not getting back 'til Tuesday night. *sniff* It's going to be so weird with a completely empty house... *shudders* I'm really not used to it. *shrugs* I'll survive.
Hmm... I need to give you people a reason to comment on my site... How about a question! Questions are fun! ^_^ Now...I just have to think of one...*think*think*think*think* (I feel like Whinny the Pooh.) ^_^ oh! There it is!
Okay, ^_^ out of all those classic Disney movies, who was your favorite character and why?
I would have to say, Basil of Baker Street in the Great Mouse Detective. He's brilliant. He's cute. He's stressed out, just like me. ^_^ That's always been my favorite of the Disney movies. ^_^ However, running in close second, is Jack Skellington and The Nightmare Before Christmas. I think it has a lot to do with Danny Elfman's singing voice. *light shines down on Danny* ^_^

Well, that's enough of rambling and such out of me. ^_^ I'll go see your sites now! ^_^

EDIT: I just moved up two ranks when I wasn't looking! Crazy, eh?

   Rise Up....A Catholic Revolution!!!
Well, time to expand a bit on the whole Steubenville weekend....(the subject line was the theme of the weekend.)
We got in after a long wet/cold drive and showed up at the hotel convention center where the conference was being held, and lo and behold, who should I meet but Anita!! (Anita's going to be my roomie at Benedictine this fall.) It was really bizarre b/c I didn't even know she was going to be there. She happened to run into a few ppl from Wichita and asked if they knew me. Moments later, they dragged her over to me. It was the craziest thing. ^_^ So, Friday night, we had lots of 'praise and worship', which isn't exactly my fave type of music or prayer... *shrugs* We got through it though and heard a really good talk by Tammie Evevard. The next morning, we came back around 9 a.m. for more talks and p&w. It was kind of a long day. In the afternoon we saw an awesome preview for the Terese movie which is coming out in October. It looks spectacular! I'll find the site and post the link here. A lot of theatres aren't interested in showing it, so you have to petition w/ your zip code to let them know you want it in your area. Afterwards, Apex did a hilarious comedy routine. *still laughing* They're awesome! ^_^ Before dinner, I decided to go to confession....and waited about 2 hours....yeah... *shakes head* It was really difficult too, b/c people wouldn't shut up. (everyone was supposed to be praying and reflecting quietly.) Finally, we got through the line, and the monsignor tells me that maybe I should delay my education and do NET retreats for a year. *head hits keyboard* I mean, I would love to, but I've got a lot lined up right now. It's gonna take a lot to just drop everything and go do that. *shakes head* He also said I should get a spirtual director when I go up to college. I was planning on that anyway. He was a really nice guy and interesting to talk to, but I'm really uncertain of my future now b/c of him. *cries* Oh well... Anyway, that night we had adoration, which, at a Steubenville Conference, is always incredible. It's not uncommon for people to start speaking in tongues or just start laughing or crying. For me though, I didn't have any sort of intense emotional change. More than anything it was sort of an intellectual urge to live my faith better than I have been. I was happy to see that several of my friends had pretty powerful experiences. Sunday morning we had Mass with the archbishop, who, no offense, gave a really boring homily (esp compared to the kind of speakers we'd had all weekend...) Overall, it was a decent conference, but not really what everyone makes a "Steubenville Conference" out to be... *shrugs*
Hmm...I've been rambling oddly...this is going to sound rather disjointed b/c I kept getting up to do other things while I was typing this entire post. ^_^
I think I'll go take some quizzes or something.
BTW, Phantom of the Opera comes out Dec. 24! ^_^

   OMG OMG OMG
*takes a deep breath* For years now I've been waiting for them to come out with the Phantom of the Opera movie, since there's really no chance of me seeing it on Broadway. Well...I'd heard it was coming up finally. Minnie Driver plays Carlotta (lol), but guess who plays the phantom....
Give up? *big grin* GERARD BUTLER!!! I'm way too excited about this! I loved him in Timeline as Marek. ^_^ Here's a pic:

   Wow...
Well...*blinks* It's different, Amy....lol Thank you so much! ^_^
For the rest of you, if you can't tell, my site's a wee bit different than it was last friday morning when I left for Denver. Amy (duorocks17) has my password and completely redesigned my site while I was gone w/o mentioning a word to me. *shakes finger at amy* ^_~ Let me know if you guys like it and give her a big hand. *claps for amy* ^_^

*sighs* On to other things....the Stuebenville Conference was pretty cool *shrugs* There were things I liked and things I didn't. A lot of it had to do with the people in my group. *tries not grumble too much* We were completely soaked on the ride up there b/c it rained really badly Friday morning. Then, the bus driver refused to turn off the ac, so were both wet and cold... ^_^ great fun!!! *grins sarcastically* But we had happy times, too: we spent Monday at Six Flags. I was really looking forward to it until I walked in. The man wouldn't let me wear my bandana (black with white rhinestones) b/c it's a 'gang symbol'. He also wouldn't let me bring in my can of Pringles (which I forgot to leave on the bus.) He gave me a little card so I could retrieve both items when I left the park. So...I went in a little peeved but I enjoyed the day for the most part. Soon, it was time to leave. I went to guest services, and guess what wasn't there any more...my can of Pringles. I bet you anything the guy ate them. *shakes head* It didn't make me too happy...
Anyway, amy's here. ^_^ So, I'll write more later.

Sure...I'll come into work 3 hours earlier than we agreed upon...
Yeah...So, I spent the night at Amy's last night...*waves to Amy* We had fun. ^_^ But around 8:30 this morning, my mom calls to tell me that Paula wants me to be here at noon instead of 3. Well, I wasn't planning on being home until noon... *rolls eyes* whatever. So, now it's 1:25 and I'm at work. *plasters grin on face* I'm rather tired right now, and I'll have to be up around 3 or 4 tomorrow morning since we have to be at St. Francis at 5 a.m. *sighs* So, I'll be leaving you all for the weekend. I'll get back on Tuesday and have to work nearly nonstop until the next Friday (I'm saying: a week and a half.) So much for a 'part time' job, eh? ^_~ Oh well. I'll be making money. *grins*
Oh, and I promised Amy I'd rant on Dillons (our local Kroger grocery chain.) So...last night Amy and I thought 'hey let's get some doughnuts!' We go to Dillons where they're supposed to be marked down after 9 pm. Well, the bakery's closed, but the doughnuts aren't marked down.... *sniff* We shrug and decide to rent a movie while we're there. We finally find Brigadoon *grins*, but they won't let me check it out b/c apparently I'm on a 'no rent' standing. 'why?' I ask. Apparently, when we rented Timeline way back in May, they had a very incompetent person working there. I asked if I could take the video to any Dillons to return it. 'yes' she says. So, I return (on time) to the Dillons closest to me. It turns out, I had to take it to the Dillons we got it from. *such crap* So, now, I can't rent movies, and they'll probably try to make me pay for Timeline. I have to waste my time clearing up all of this just b/c some girl was too lazy to check on a policy she wasn't sure about or too stupid to know what the real policy was.... *grrrr* Now, Amy and I are going to bomb Dillons and Target. ^_^
*sighs* Hmmm... something's new about otaku... 'private messaging'! oooh! aaaah! *claps*
Well, I'd better get back to work. everyone have a great day! I'll miss you all this weekend! ^_^

   zzzzzzzzzzzzzz *snort* zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Well, I'm home from work and waiting for Amy to show up. She's eating dinner w/ my family! ^_^ We're having pancakes which I just finished making. Let's see....I'm gonna reply real quick to a few comments from the last post...
Purgatory: I understand your sentiments completely. I can tolerate very little rap (unless it's rock-oriented). The Phantom of the Opera is probably my fave musical of all time. *sighs* I've been dying for them to make a movie b/c the chances of me ever getting to see it on Broadway are very slim. *sniff*
Shanny: I love The Sound of Music and My Fair Lady. ^_^ I'm a particular fan of Julie Andrews. (being Catholic, I can really appreciate The Sound of Music. I've met lots of crazy nuns! ^_^ They're so sweet.)
Amy: I suppose we can discuss this when you get here, but there are so many other shows I need to catch up on that I really don't want to waste time rewatching one I already didn't like very much. *shrugs* But if you really want to, I'll be supportive... ^_~
*yawns* I got my housing information for Benedictine. *finally* My roomie is girl named Anita from CO. *waves to Anita* I don't know anything about her, but I sent her a letter today. (they didn't give me an email address.)
Well, Amy's here, so I'll talk to you all later! ^_^
