I saw the funniest thing on the bus today

STORY TIME!!

My two friends and I were going to Barnes & Nobles today so that one of them could get a book. To get to such a wonderful place required public transportation. So, we're all just chillin' in our seats listening to music, & being that I had nothing else to do I just started looking around the front of the bus (there are 6 seats that face each other in teh front--3 on one side and three on the other. All other seats are faced the same way as the bus driver is facing up until the end where the seats face each other again). I notice two women who were in their early 20s sitting perpendicular to me. One was leaning on the other so I assumed maybe that person was upset and the other was consoling her as her friend, but upon further observation I found that the two women were lovers (one had her arm around the other woman, which looked like consoling until I saw her brushing her hair with her fingers). From where I was sitting I thought that at one point they were kissing (I'm not sure). What made this hilarious was the reaction of an old white lady sitting across from them--she started shaking her head slightly in disapproval...

When I told my friends about this (they were completely absorbed in their music so they weren't paying attention to anything), all they could say was, "Wow" (because that's all I found to be funny).
What was funny was the white lady's reaction to the couple.
One of my friends asked me if I also disapproved and I told him no, because ... well it'd be something I'm sure you haven't heard (read) already.
-_____-

But yeah, that made my day. :)

Also am happy because I got my Japanese book in today. Apparently I'll be a little polyglot because I'm currently learning French, German, Korean and Japanese.

Speaking of languages, I'm also elated about an international trip I was invited to. If I'm able to go we'll be visiting Switzerland, Germany (We'll be visiting a place in germany that I've been before when I lived in Germany, so I can't wait to that), France (not learning French because of this trip BTW), and Italy. It takes place next year, which is my Senior year, and it also takes place over a break (It's a 12 day trip), some time in February.

The cost isn't that bad either-- just 2700 bucks. Hopefully my parents can afford the 200 dollar 11 month payment plan for me to go... really wanna visit Germany again since I don't remember being there. T^T

OK, I'm done. :D

Happy Weekend~~

   2010

So it's a new year now, ehhhhhhh?
It's got me excited because I'm THIS close to graduating, THIS close to moving out, THIS close to getting a job to support MYSELF, THIS close to... um... be an adult I guess. I don't know, but reality is hitting me pretty damn hard. >:\

OH MAI GAWD... I'll be freaking OUT when '10 becomes '11... Oh it's a done dearr man, a done dearr (heheh Chinese Guy from pyrobooby is funny).

So Happy New Years!
My New Years is pretty bland... No sparkling Welch's like we normal get (just like this X-mas we had no tree. I should have drawn one). But I'm celebrating by learning Dance, Dance by Fall Out Boy on guitar (pretty challenging for my n00bish skills but fun).

What are your New Year resolutions?
Mine are:
*Become a wicked guitarist (nothing like Syn though.. mad work)
*Learn conversational German, French, Korean OOORRRR Japanese by the end of the year
*DO NOT procrastinate as much (so far this is working, though not so much since it's break. But break ends Friday and school starts on Monday. BAW).
*Get a little thing called a J-O-B

tHe EnD (dOn'T yOu JuSt LoVe It WhEn PeOpLe TyPe LiKe ThIs?? I kNoW i Do)

R A W R~ MKAY Hope everyone's new year goes swellllllllll. May 2010 be full of awesome-ness!. . .

I want to create a yonkoma (4-koma) like K-on! or Lucky Star or Azumanga Daioh!! >:V

Gawd, I've wanted to create a manga since... since foreverzzzz

Four-panel comics should be OK for me since it'll be my first time making a comic. Plus it might actually fit with the story, but I need to figure out the plot first--"plot". :D

OK

It Was A Good Day Today

So the performance went perfectly. I now see why we were needed. There was pretty much only four people performing--A pianist (though he plays many other instruments... like a polyglot except with music), two singers (one that sings so wonderfully, and the other is my friend... who sings OK), and last but not least, the great guitarist in the world (me........ kidding).

Not a lot of people. The pianist and singer went together and my friend and I were together. We only played one song, but the pianist/singer played like... three in a row, one of the was Love Song by... that chick... >___>"

We play Butterfly Fly Away by Miley Cyrus (blehck, but ppl liked it).

It was a bit nerve wrecking before we went, but after it was nice... My dear friend got many compliments on her singing (even though she thinks they're lying to her). Ah, it felt nice... =3=b I wouldn't mind doing it again.

OH! I don't know if I've said this before, but... WE FOUND A DRUMMER! And a really good one... really nice too! (Another one of my friends used to like him... o the irony). After our "gig" we were inspired to play MOAR. xDDDDD

It was a good day until about 2nd period (we missed 1st period... yessssss).

My friend couldn't find her wallet. We went this way and that looking for it. Long story short, we found it (and the money that was it), I cried, she cried, we hugged.

Baww I cry when other people cry. Cancers are emotionaaaaalllllll \OAO/

NAO, I must go and learn many covers (all them Paramore. *sigh* how'd that happen?).

R A W R~ I... am gonna drink more Orange JUUUIIIIICCEEEEE. . .

Guitar Hero.. Real Guitar Hero

So me and my friend have a "performance" at school tomorrow. Nothing big, just playing one song, then leaving and heading onto class. :D

It's something that music is doing, and my friend explained so nicely that we're doing it because our person-thingy "is sucking up to the Principle." XD

At first we weren't going to do it because we didn't feel that we were ready, but after we told our teacher-person-thingy "No", he went to the others and said "OK guys, we aren't doing the music thing tomorrow." To which someone responded, "What? Why?"

....

It made us feel bad that our decision on whether we'd play or not determined whether they would do the whole music thing tomorrow. *sigh*
So now I have to wake up mad early to play some mess.

On the bright side, we'd be better at performing in front of people. :D

*sigh*
OK, now I have to go "practice," and then play some Saint Rooooooowwww Twwoooooo (I'm like, addicted to that game now O.O).

R A W R~ Lately I've been depressed in the arts. So no artwork has been produced and it makes me sad T^T. . .

This is how you know you don't have a life

...

When you make a "webshow" that looks more like a vlog than any other "show" or video thingy on the Tube of You... It'd be nice if the video looked like nighiga's, or Shane Dawson's... or Dave Days'. But we have no lighting and whatnot that makes it look that nice... Nein, we used a computer that had a built in cam and mic. *sigh*

We have no life... no... we are bored.
it's such a shame... I'm not even gonna give you a link. smh v.v

It was funny before it was uploaded.

Other than that...

Today was a good day~ :D

   Paranormal Activity

(I want to view that movie)

My English teacher is making us raze certain words from our vocabulary, I guess, to expand it or to just make us sound as if we aren't 5th graders when we're 11th. So now I have to try and not use words like watch, see, good, bad, sad, mad, fun, interesting, pretty/hard (It's pretty cool; Work hard), great, "I think", "Ever since", even/then, like, and the list goes on... Oops, that's another word we can't use-- Go (and all it's infinitives, such as went, goes, going, etc.).

SO! Last night I was sleeping--sleeping soundly. Oh, what a lovely slumber it was. Quite lovely until I received a call at 3:56 AM... THREE FIFTY-SIX A.M. Who could have been calling me at such a late hour? Why, 'twas my younger brother... Who was asleep in bed, as was the other younger (youngest) brother. I answered the phone with awareness:
"Really?" (That's another word we shan't use--really)
"..."
"Hello?"
"..."
And with that, I hung up and fell back to sleep, not caring or wondering why my little brother was calling me when he's a room away, or how he was calling me.

When I arrived home I inquired, "Did you call me last night?"
"No," he replied. "I did have the flash light on for Maurice--I guess it fell."
"But how did it call me just from falling?"
I left the room.

I am still wondering how this happened. I can only assume that a ghost wished to speak with me at THREE FIFTY-SIX A.M.

FFF
But anywho, some other words we cannot use:
talk, whatever, many, a lot, much, stuff, things, something, favorite, best, worst, worse, strong, cool, got, nice, very, important, big, small, look, feel...

R.I.P words we can never use again in that classroom ... R.I.P

R A W R~ So, like, I'm very tired. I want to go to bed and sleep and have great dreams. I also wanna watch Paranormal Activity. Something I really wanna do.. I think it'd be cool. Some said it was very scary, like my aunt who had bad dreams about it.. or was she just really scared? I don't know. Looks pretty cool to me. =D

I Said To Me, 'What Are you Doing?" To Which I responded 'IDK'

DUDE, I'm better off learning Japanese. >:V

KOREAN:
-1 dictionary +Google
-K-pop
-K-drama
-Pen pals (online & in-person)

JAPANESE:
-2 Dictionaries +Google
-TONS of J-Rock
-J-Dramas
-1/2 Japanese 1/2 Indian friend
-has found that relating some Japanese grammar to Korean helps learn Korean better (but not vice versa)
-Anime
-Manga (in Japanese)

The main benefit are the people I meet in both languages. In Korean, I can't meet those IN Korea, PLUS I somehow lost contact with all my K-peeps. *tear tear* I also don't know or have a lot of K-pop songs, and if I do, I don't really listen to them regularly. In Japanese, I actually HAVE a friend who speaks Japanese to her Mom everyday, I imagine. Her mom is from Japan, so it's really cool beans. I could talk to my friend in Japanese at school, OH! What a dream! >w<
I'm wondering why I haven't thought of this
before! Then I could have been having small chit chats in Japanese! >:V

I must start learning NAO!
*runs off to stop procrastinating and read*

   Random Thought Number One

In the seventh grade, I had a film class--you had props and made scrips and filmed it sometimes. It was horrible for me because I hate being in front of people, speaking. I just hate standing in front of people and presenting something. (I could never be an orator.) Anyway, the teacher was asked by a student, "Are you crazy if you talk to yourself?" to which he responded, "You're only crazy if you ask yourself questions and then answer them..." I thought it was funny. I also took it to heart because I talk to myself. Honestly, who doesn't? But I'm weird. I talk to myself as if there is someone RIGHT next to me listening to me. "I always wonder why blah blah blah, you know? Have you ever thought of that? It just bugs me, you know?" If there is something on my mind, this, I suppose, helps me ponder more on whatever I was already thinking about.

Yes, I'm really just weird and possibly crazy, I know, I know. *shakes head* but to the point, I had a lovely conversation with myself (yes, it was necessary to expound why I do so). What was it about? Nationalities. My ethnicity, others' ethnic background, etc. etc.

New York is the most diverse state in the country--so many people from all over the world. You can literally visit a country without even GOING to that country. It's amazing. Sure some of you knew this already, but have you ever lived here? That's what makes it amazing. When you experience it, blah blah blah, I digress. I learned a lot from being here. I became more open-minded about things, mainly people's ethnic background. There are a lot of black people in my school which surprised me because I'm so used to seeing a lot of white people. What else do you expect from NY? Silly me. One thing I learned was that every black person was not "black", as in African-American (I know, big whoop, I'm so unedu-ma-cated). There are a lot people who are Haitian, Jamaican, all those places in S. America. All to a point that when people ask me what I am, they ask "Are you Haitian? Jamaican? What are you??????" I can't blame them because they probably ask other people and get similar answers (Oh, I'm Haitian. Oh I'm Jamaican). What gets me is that, I suppose there's so many Haitians and whatnot that no one even thinks about the people whose roots lie in Africa.

I was in a party with my friends on XBOX Live and one of them asked what I was. When I told him he was like "Oh~! I know an African now!" LMAO I don't know, I just feel kind of annoyed that people think I'm from some part of South America when I'm not. On the other hand, it also annoys me when people just say I'm African (as in OH EM GEE I KNOW AN AFRICAN or whatever). I'm all wishy-washy about it. *shakes head*

But this brings me to my point. When you think of African-American, what is it you think of? Most think of someone with dark skin. I won't go into anything else because the main thing is about skin color. After thinking for a moment, I thought about this:

I want to be reincarnated into someone whose parents are both white but were born in Africa. I then want the parents to travel to America and have me there, so that I can have all those benefits of being an American or whatever... What would people call me? I have pale skin, yet my roots are, for the most part, in Africa. Wouldn't I be, technically, African-American? When I fill out a form, wouldn't I bubble in 'African-American, Black, or of African decent' (or would I bubble in 'Other')?

The idea was titillating because what if I had said to a group of Black-Americans "I'm African American"? What would their reaction be? If I said this to anyone, what would their reaction be? I kind of know the answer... >__>" but what would you think or say?

The thought is amusing and makes me wish that my next life is like this. To be able to say that I'm Africa-American yet I'm of pale complexion. Oh, what a dream; what a dream...
