Chapter Four- After Graduation; Unease Among Friends
READ THIS BEFORE YOU READ THE STORY!!! this is all i've got so far because i started typing the story two days ago. I've been busy because i'm going for the volleyball team for my school and tryouts are today, tomorow, and wednesday, so i'm going to be really busy. here is the fourth chapter! oh yeah, so you don't get confused, i changed the title of the third chapter to "Chapter Three- Graduation Day! Who will pass and who will fail?" because it suited better. ^^ i hope you enjoy!

Chapter Four— After Graduation; Unease among friends

Sazaki ran down the main street, heading back to the academy.
I wonder what Naruto’ll think about it, she thought as she collapsed the staff to carrying size, and how soon I can try this out...!
Her face was lit up in excitement as she rounded the corner—
BAM!!!!!
“Gah!!”
—And crashed strait into Sasuke.
“Good lord, I seem to be running into you all over the place...” she muttered, rubbing the back of her head.
“...Hn” was all his reply, rubbing the bottom of his chin.
Something shiny caught Sazaki’s eye as she glared at him. On his forehead was a Leaf Village headband.
“So you passed, huh?”
He made a noise of indifference as he got to his feet.
“Of course I did... why wouldn’t I...?” he muttered, stuffing one of his hands in his pockets as he held out the other to her.
She glared at him in annoyance, but took his hand just the same.
Arrogant little brat..... she thought, forgetting that she had said something to that effect to Karin.
“So what’s that thing you’re carrying?” he asked, nodding his head at the downsized staff in her hand.
“What, this?” she asked, holding it up, “Why?”
He shrugged.
“Curious...”
Sazaki arched an eyebrow, skeptical.
“Since when have you ever bothered about anyone other than yourself?” she asked; a challenge in her voice.
His face flushed in annoyance.
“Do you ever shut up?”
Sazaki surprised him by throwing her arm around his neck, forcing him down to her level (since she was a bit shorter than him), and giving him a huge nuggie.
“I live to annoy you, my friend!” she cried with a big, goofy grin.
“Sazaki, get off me!!” he grunted, trying to throw the girl off of him.
She was surprisingly strong for a girl with such a slim frame. Because Sazaki and Sasuke were distracted by Sazaki’s goofing off, they didn’t notice a whole crowd of girls that had gathered, attracted by the noise they were making.
“Sazaki............”
Sazaki and Sasuke froze, staring wide eyed.
Ino and Sakura were two of the girls in the crowd.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO SASUKE???” Ino yelled.
“Oh, leave me alone, you stupid, blonde hog!” Sazaki snapped back immediately.
She noted that Ino had a headband tied sideways around her waist.
This idiot must have passed too.... No wonder she more arrogant than usual...
Out of all the people Sazaki didn’t like, she hated Ino the most. The arrogant girl always was looking down on her, and always either talking about her diet (which was annoying because the idiot was always so thin), or about Sasuke (which even more annoying because she would not shut up about him, which is sad because she talks more about him than any other bonehead who was one of his worshipers). Sazaki also disliked Sakura, but not as much as Ino. Both girls are so adamant that Sasuke belonged to them, like he was some piece of property and not a human being, which annoyed the crap out of Sazaki.
“WHAT DID YOU SAY??” Ino shrieked.
“You heard me.” Sazaki said calmly, letting go of Sasuke as she spoke.
She walked right up to the blonde until their faces were inches apart, placing her hands on her hips defiantly.
“Unless you’ve got business with me, Ino, I’d suggest that you’d beat it. That goes for all of you.” She added, glaring at the crowd.

end of chapter 3
this is part.................. 7? is it part 7? i dint know. anywho, enjoy!

“Oh, hush up, you! Sazaki, I’m giving you the day off, ok?”
Sazaki’s eyes widened in surprise.
“Why?”
“Because I said so!” the older girl cried.
Raiuku nudged his sister in the ribs and whispered in her ear.
“Oh yeah! I almost forgot!” Karin exclaimed, giggling sheepishly, “Sazaki, there is something in the backroom for you!”
Sazaki cocked her head in curiosity, walking into the backroom.
“What does it look like?”
“It’s in a brown package.”
Sazaki glanced around, spotting it on the counter where they normally keep orders that they get from the local blacksmith to restock their shelves, or if they have special orders from their customers. An unopened box sat on the far corner of the counter.
“This one in the corner?” she called.
“Yeah! Bring it out here and open it!”
She cautiously picked it up and brought it out.
“She’s not going to be able to figure out what to do with it you know.” She heard Raiuku mutter, “Not at first. At least ‘till you tell her... Ow!”
When Sazaki entered the main shop again, Karin was lowering the white fan again, and obvious sign that she had smacked her little brother again. Raiuku glowered as she nursed the bump on his head again.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” She asked, raising an eyebrow.
Karin flapped her hand in the air as if blowing away her question.
“Nothing, nothing! Just open it already!”
Sazaki shrugged and took a kunai off one of the racks beside the counter and sliced the packaging tape open, sifting through the box. She came up with a small, thick feeling stick with large slits on both ends, and two holes in the top of it. Sazaki arched an eyebrow in confusion, holding it up to eye level.
“... A stick? What am I supposed to do with a stick?”
“See, what did I tell you? She doesn’t know what it is!”
Raiuku caught his sister by the wrist as she tried to whack him again.
“Will you please stop hitting me? It’s getting annoying!”
Sazaki cleared her throat impatiently, tapping her fingers on the counter.
“It’s supposed to be a staff.” Raiuku explained, “It was made especially for you.”
Karin nodded and picked up where her brother left off.
“You’re supposed to push air into the two holes on the top there, and it forces out two pieces of wood on each end that lock up when they come out so that they don’t go back in when you’re fighting. When you’re storing it, you’re supposed to suck the air back in, and the two ends come back in.”
Raiuku nodded as Sazaki held it up to examine it again.
“Go on, see if it works!” Karin cried, grinning from ear to ear.
Sazaki tested it in her hand for a second and twirled it in her fingers experimentally. When she got a good spin to it, she quickly pushed air into the holes on top.
WHOOSH!!!
The two ends came flying out at tremendous speed, almost making her drop it in surprise. Drawn out, the whole thing was taller than she was by at least six inches.
“Hey, cool!” she exclaimed, twirling it around her body and over her head.
“It’s specially made so that you can do those air stunts with it, too.” Karin stated.
“That’s not all.” Raiuku said, smiling, “I took the opportunity to make something else in it. Look at the sides at the top of the staff.”
Sazaki looked at the end where he was talking about and felt up the sides with her fingers. She felt two small bumps on each side with small holes in it.
“You feel them?” he asked, “There are two more at the bottom. If you force air into those, the sides fold out into wings that are attached to the staff, transforming it into a glider. It works the same as the method to open the staff.”
Sazaki grinned and surprised the two siblings by giving them both fierce hugs.
“Thank you so much!! “she gushed as Raiuku’s face flushed a deep, deep red, “I’m gonna go show this to Naruto! I’ll see you later!”
Sazaki turned and ran out the store and was gone. Karin glanced over at Raiuku and grinned slightly.
“You still like her?”
Raiuku’s face flushed even deeper at his sister’s teasing.
“Shut up!!” he snapped.
Then his face softened slightly, a worried look in is eyes.
“... I wonder if she’ll be ok...” he muttered, “It’s tough being a ninja...”
Karin ruffled her little brother’s hair affectionately.
“I’m sure she’ll be fine.” She said with her voice full of confidence, “She’s tougher than you think, Raiuku. She’ll get along fine. I do, however, feel sorry for who ever her team leader is. Sazaki sure is a hotheaded, stubborn person. She’s gonna be a handful!”
Raiuku grinned and walked into the back room to collect more shuriken for the store.
“Yeah, I guess you’re right. I just hope that she keeps her head.”
Karin smiled again.
“She will. Like I said, she’s tough.”
Karin was quiet for a minute, sudden sadness etched into her features.
“... Just like her mother...”

part.... 7 i think?
here's part 7, . enjoy!

“I have an idea....” he muttered.
He got around behind Sazaki and tied it around her forehead, pulling her bangs out to hang around it.
“How about now...? Better?”
Sazaki touched it with her fingers, nodding with a grin.
“It sure does look good on you.” Raiuku chuckled, “makes you look like a true ninja!
“I’ve just decided!” Karin said suddenly.
Raiuku and Sazaki looked up in surprise.
“That’s never a good sign...” the brunet boy muttered.
Karin hit him across the head again, this time with a staff.

“Oh, hush up, you! Sazaki, I’m giving you the day off, ok?”
Sazaki’s eyes widened in surprise.

part six
i'm reapeating what i said in my last post, and i'm putting it in capital letters so you can see it this time (it's not me shouting, i just want to make sure ppl see it.) I THINK THAT THERE MIGHT BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY INBOX, AND I'M NOT SURE IF I CAN SEND OR RECIVE MESSAGES... TT~TT i tried to contact adam, but i'm not sure if he got the message. if anyone wants to help me out by telling adam for me, please do so... i need help...

anywho, here's part 6 of my story.

Raiuku stared at his older sister in annoyance, nursing the bump on his head.
“...Uh, let me guess...” he said sarcastically, pretending to think, “... Sazaki?”
His sister didn’t even notice as she grabbed Sazaki’s hands and spun her around the store.
“Way to go, Sazaki!” she cried as she let go of Sazaki, sending her flying into a nearby rack of kunai.
“Ow...”
She lay on the ground, trying to make her head stop spinning, and then opened her eyes. She gulped as she realized that she was in the path of about a dozen falling kunai
“WHAA!!” she yelped, trying to avoid the falling weapons so they wouldn’t spear her.
“Watch it, Karin, you’re gonna get the new graduate killed before she even gets to find out who she has for a team!” Raiuku snapped, helping Sazaki to her feet.
“Whoops... sorry Sazaki...” Karin smiled sheepishly as the raven haired girl wobbled around dizzily.
Sazaki sat down with a grin on her face.
“So what needs doing?”
“Hold on there, squirt.” Raiuku said, flopping down beside her, “Where are you going to wear that?”
“Huh? You mean this?” Sazaki asked, holding up the headband, “Dunno. I was only worried about getting the darn thing, so I didn’t really plan ahead.”
Karin took the headband from her hand, and tied it around her neck.
“What do you think? Is it a look?”
Sazaki messed with it as Raiuku shook his head.
“Eh, it looks ok, but it’s missing something.”
Sazaki shook her head as well.
“It’ll only get in my way. Not to mention, it makes my neck feel really weird. I’m not used to having something this heavy rest on my collar bone.”
Karin thought for a moment, then took the headband off from around Sazaki’s neck and retied it around her arm.
“How ‘bout now?”
Sazaki pushed it up as it slipped down her arm.
“It’s a bit big....”
Raiuku arched an eyebrow in amusement.
“Either the headband’s too big, or your arm is too small.”
Sazaki smacked him on the shoulder in annoyance as he laughed and untied the headband from around her arm.
“I have an idea....” he muttered.
He got around behind Sazaki and tied it around her forehead, pulling her bangs out to hang around it.
“How about now...? Better?”
Sazaki touched it with her fingers, nodding with a grin.
“It sure does look good on you.” Raiuku chuckled, “makes you look like a true ninja!

part 5
uhhh, here is more of my story.... i hope you like it! ^^ oh, and for anyone who is trying to reach me thru pm's, i think that there might be something wrong with my inbox. anywho, here it is! ^^

She turned into the market district, and ran down the lane. She stopped in front of a building that read “Shizaru’s Emporium”. Sazaki ducked in the store and looked around. She was surrounded by weapons and equipment, everything you’ll ever need for missions, training, and other stuff like that. A young woman in her early twenties stood behind the counter. A leaf head band glinted in the sunlight from around her waist as she moved. She was speaking with a customer, which was a young man who looked like a chunnin by his attire. When the chunnin had left, the young woman spotted Sazaki standing by the door.
“Sazaki! Come on, get back here and tell me how it went!” she called with a grin.
Sazaki grinned and headed back to the counter.
“Hey, Karin. Where’s Raiuku? Did he come in yet?”
“Yes, yes, he’s in the back.” Kari said with a wave of her hand, “Come on, come on! Did you pass?”
Before Sazaki could answer, Kari’s bright green eyes grew round with delight.
“You did!” she squealed, taking Sazaki’s hand, which was still clutching her new headband, and yanked it up, “You did pass! Good for you!”
Sazaki grinned, flashing her boss a peace sign as Karin held her other hand, the one clutching the headband, high victoriously.
“Of course I did! Why wouldn’t I?”
“What’s going on out here?”
Sazaki and Karin turned to find a young boy around fifteen to seventeen behind them; his mouse brown hair messed up from sleep. A Leaf headband glinted from around his neck.
“Hey, Raiuku-kun!” Sazaki said with a grin.
The boy rolled his bright green eyes.
“I was trying to sleep before you two started screaming...”
A sweat drop appeared on Sazaki’s forehead as Karin’s eyes began to twitch.
“....Sleeping....?” she asked slowly.
Raiuku paled as he realized the mistake he had made.
“Uh oh...”
Sazaki stepped away from Karin quickly as she began to shake.
“YOU WHERE SLEEPING THIS WHOLE TIME WHEN YOU COULD HAVE BEEN HELPING ME WITH THIS SHOP??!!”
Raiuku ran around the shop, trying to get rid of his older sister as she hit him upside the head with a white fan. Sazaki ducked behind the cash register for safety. After a few seconds of chaos, the two settled down. Sazaki cautiously got out of her hiding spot and stood beside the shurieken rack. Karin sat on the counter while Raiuku stayed well away from her on the other side of the store.
“Anyhow, can you guess who just passed her graduation exam?”
“Ow...”

-_- zzzzzz me talking and part 4 of my story.
i'm so tired.... sorry i havent been on. i was at he beach all week. there was no internet were i was, so.... anywho, my brother's b-day is in about nine more days. he is going to be 11. my b-day is next month, so i'm counting down till then. i'm gonna be 15!! ^^ hopfully i'll be able to get my permit then.

this is to the people how have been waiting to get a request, art trade or any kind of picture from me. my new scanner hasn't been hooked up yet. TT~TT I'M SORRY GUYS!!! i'll try to get them up as soon as it's hooked up.

ok, enough of me blabbing... here's part four of my story.

Naruto slumped in his seat as Sazaki rubbed her head again, waiting for their names to be called. Sazaki watched as people got called and walked into the room were the exam was being held. She watched as Sakura came out, holding a head band in her hand. She immediately ran over to Sasuke, clearly trying to impress him. He glared for a minute at her in annoyance, and then pointedly ignored her.
“Sazaki Otushima?” a voice called after about twenty minutes.
Sazaki looked up, rubbing sleep from her eyes. Iruka poked his head out, looking for her as she stood up.
“Coming!” she said, stretching.
Naruto shot her a thumbs, and she gently punched him on the shoulder as she stepped into the isle. As she walked to the room, she could feel Sasuke’s eyes boring into her back. She glanced at him as she passed him, her blue eyes locking onto his intense gaze.
Don’t screw up... she heard him say in her head.
Since when do you care?
... Just go take the stupid test.
Annoyed, she stuck out her tongue at him, walking past him in a huff.
...Seriously... she heard him say after she walked through the door
Don’t screw up...
Then he slammed the door into his thoughts shut, blocking her out.
“Sazaki?” Iruka asked as he shut the door behind her.
She didn’t answer at first, gazing in confusion at the closed wooden door behind her.
“Sazaki...?”
“Huh? Oh, sorry... I’m ready.”
Iruka smiled and sat down beside a lavender haired man, picking up his clipboard. She eyes the man suspiciously. He gave her a weird feeling.
“It’s ok, Sazaki.” Iruka said, following where her gaze, “This is Mizuki. He’s helping me with the tests.”
The man, Mizuki, waved. Sazaki looked away, not feeling quite comfortable with him around; he gave off vibes that she didn’t like. Her eyes fell on what lay in front of them on the table. Rows of neatly folded headbands glittered in the sunlight coming through the near by window.
“Ok, Sazaki,” Iruka muttered, flipping through the clipboard, “Go ahead.”
Sazaki nodded, and the pushed her hands together to focus her chakra. She squeezed her eyes shut, focusing on dividing her chakra equally into three clones. It built up inside of her, and she waited for it to reach a certain point.
NOW!
Sazaki’s eyes snapped open as she activated the jutsu.
“Cloning Jutsu!” she cried, allowing the built up chakra to flow out of her body.
Smoke enveloped her, and she stood back as it cleared.
Whoops... she thought sheepishly as she looked around.
Five clones of herself surrounded Sazaki. She grinned sheepishly, scratching the back of her neck, giggling slightly.
“Ehehe... Too much chakra...”
Iruka and Mizuki laughed as she released the jutsu, allowing the clones to disappear with puffs of smoke.
“It’s ok, Sazaki, you did what we asked.” Mizuki laughed.
Iruka nodded, checking off something on his clipboard.
“Yup. Congratulations, Sazaki.” He said with a huge smile on his face, holding out a headband that he’d picked up, “You passed. You are now a Hidden Leaf kunoichi.”
Sazaki stood there for a second before reaching out to take the headband. When she took it in her hand, she traced the Leaf symbol on the metal plate with one finger.
I... I did it... she thought in disbelief, I’m... a ninja...!
A huge grin spread across her face, her eyes sparkling.
“Thank you, Sensei!” she sputtered, bowing with both palms flat on her thighs.
She then turned and ran out the door.
“NARUTO!” she shouted, running up to her friend, “I did it! I did it!”
Naruto grinned and shot her a peace sign.
“I knew you could, believe it!”
She grinned.
“Oh, trust me, I do! Hey, I’ll meet you at the ramen shop, m’kay?”
The blonde’s eyes grew huge and he hugged her.
“Ok! But you’re buying!”
“What?! Rrrr... Fine, but I’m limiting how many bowls you get. I’m not paying for all of them!”
“Aww, Sazaki...!” he whined
“No, Naruto. Last time I did that, you whipped out all my money!”
Sazaki pulled out her watch again and looked at it.
“Whoops! I’m late.” She yelped, pushing Naruto off of her, “Hey, I’ll see you there, ok? I gotta go to work, or I’ll be late!”
She turned, and headed for the door. Sazaki glanced at Sasuke before she left. He was still ignoring Sakura as she tried to coax him on a date with her, but his eyes found hers.
YOU don’t screw up, she shot at him with a wink.
Yeah, yeah... he muttered back, still ignoring Sakura as she blabbered on.
Sazaki stuck her tongue out him, and then walked through the door.
I really need to get to Kari’s or else she’ll chew me out again for being late... Sazaki thought, running down the street.
When the chunnin had left, the young woman spotted Sazaki standing by the door.
“Sazaki! Come on, get back here and tell me how it went!” she called with a grin.
Sazaki grinned and headed back to the counter.

lalala..... =^..^=
hehe i'm still typeing the story, so please don't get anrgry at me... anywho, i was listening to a song from Superchick and thought "Hey, this really reminds me of Sazaki!" you know how us artist/writers get when we think about our characters and how we made thier lifes and how thay feel. ^^;; anywho it's called Stand in the Rain. it's one of my favorite songs, and it really describes how Sazaki's life is and how much of her true feelings she hides.

She never slows down.
She doesn't know why but she knows that when she's all alone, feels like its all coming down
She won't turn around
The shadows are long and she fears if she cries that first tear, the tears will not stop raining down

[CHORUS]
So stand in the rain
Stand your ground
Stand up when it's all crashing down
You stand through the pain
You won't drown
And one day, whats lost can be found
You stand in the rain

She won't make a sound
Alone in this fight with herself and the fears whispering if she stands she'll fall down
She wants to be found
The only way out is through everything she's running from, wants to give up and lie down.

[CHORUS]
So stand in the rain
Stand your ground
Stand up when it's all crashing down
You stand through the pain
You won't drown
And one day, whats lost can be found
You stand in the rain

So stand in the rain
Stand your ground
Stand up when it's all crashing down
Stand through the pain
You won't drown
And one day, whats lost can be found

[CHORUS]
So stand in the rain
Stand your ground
Stand up when it's all crashing down
You stand through the pain
You won't drown
And one day, whats lost can be found
You stand in the rain

If someone could get me a link for an mp3 version of this song that would be great... i wanna change the song i have to a better song...
