   Then End To Taekwondo
*sniff* Last night was the last night of Taekwondo. I actually didn't get choked up which surprised me. Actually there was one time when Jolicia and I were having a poking fight and I stopped in the middle and mentioned that it would our last poking fight ever. We both hugged and then continued the fight. Yes. I'm 19 and I got in a poking fight with a ten year old!

Class was about to start and I was a bit disapointed because Jenni didn't show up when she suddenly came running down that hall!! YAY! SHE MADE IT! We didn't have a stressful class. Did a couple basic kicks and a few of the lower rank forms, timed together. Then... we had a board breaking contest.

Jenni went first. Ms. Freeman said she had to break it with a spinning round house and Jenni nearly passed out. Luckily she was joking so Jenni had to break with a ax kick. Gabe went next, he was the one that had to break with the spinning round house. He couldn't do it. I went up next. I asked for the dreaded spinning round house kick. I don't see why people hate that kick, it's my favorite. I snapped that board on my first kick. I didn't mean to show Gabe up I just REALLY like that kick!! Jolicia kicked after me. She attempted a jumping front kick. REALLLLLLLY hard kick! Poor Jolicia couldn't manage it. So she had to break it with her head... er... that didn't work either. Then she tried to break it with her knee... still couldn't get it to break. Ms. Freeman tried to break it over her knee... ^^;; she even had trouble breaking it... it was a really hard board.

After that we did one more round. This time Gabe went first. He managed to break the board with a jumping back kick. Then I went and broke a board with my fist. On my first try! That made me feel great! The last time I tried to break a board with my fist I couldn't break the board and wound up with bloody knuckles. Jenni was up next. I suggested that she ask for a back kick because if the school had stayed open she would have had to break with that kick at her next testing. She tried and on her second attempt she broke it!! She came back beaming! ^_^ Poor Jolicia though.... Ms. Freeman made her do a 360 back spin kick... that's a really hard kick. She wasn't able to do it so she had to try to break the board with her head again. ^^;; First time didn't work but she got it on the second!! GO JOLICIA!

After class we had a pizza party that Jolicia's mom, my mom, and myself put together. It was a good idea. It kinda broke the ice. We sat around together eating and drinking some soda, swaping stories. It was fun. I'm really going to miss them. *sniff* I just wish Mike hadn't hurt his knee so he could have taken the last class with us... but at lest he was there!

Jenni, Jolicia, and myself played with our knunchuks during the part. Jenni showed me how to do a little trick with mine. Jolicia kinda nearly wapped me on the head.

Before we left Ms. Freeman handed us each a really small staff. It's about half the lenght of my arm. I don't see how it could be much of a weapon but I was excited to get it. Jolicia and I wasted no time mock sparring with them. But it didn't last long, we had to leave. It was hard know that it would be the last time we would be walking away from the place. It was hard to say goodbye, but yet, I'm not as sad as I was when I first found out about the closing. I think I'm either in denial or acceptance. I'm guessing acceptance. I'm sad, and yet, happy. It's been a fun four years.

I took some pictures, but they are REALLY big pictures and I don't want to freeze up people's computers that are slow. If you want to see them and you have an okay speed for a computer or you just don't care just comment and I'll send you a link to my pictures!
