Warning: You are about to step into a post full of literal opinion, by yours truly. I won't hold back, you hear?

“The object of war is not to die for your country, but to make the other bastard die for his.”
-Ikkaku Madarame

I was thinking about Bleach earlier, and that quote by Ikkaku randomly popped into my head. Why can't the government say that to America? It's the truth, damnit. :)

So, hi there. I have shielded myself with numerous pillows, because I fear being pelted with random objects. I know I said I'd be around a lot more on the last post, but that kinda went down the drain. Heh. You see, I was home during winter vacation for Christmas and New Years.. And ended up spending most of my time outside of my own house. Computer access? Yeah, not so much. You guys will forgive me though, I hope.. ;) The only time I did get on the computer was for the roleplay. You can't blame me there, though. That thing is addicting.

Okay, so I have a 'warning' on my post for a reason. I signed in today with a little surprise. There was a new guestbook signing! I never get those, mainly because I don't go around signing any myself, nor do I publicize myself in any way. But, low and behold, there was a new one.. And from someone I'd never even heard of before. But apparently they had signed guestbooks of others, including Kimmeh and Hearts, and both with the same puzzling reply I got.. I was told not to question a possibility of "becoming friends", or what we two perfect strangers should possibly "talk about." Yeah, I'm confused myself. If you want to see the whole thing, check out my guestbook.

Anyways, here's my rant on the situation. Originally, I came to theOtaku for one sole reason ; to have a way to keep in touch with Kim besides AIM and telephone. She told me about the site once before, and how she's always around, so I decided to join in. This username was originally hers, I just took it from her to use.

Before, I was only on here to talk to Kim, and then go about on my business with others on my accounts elsewhere. But I ended up meeting a few people, who I can happily call friends now. (All, of course, good friends of Kimmeh.) That's where it'll stop though. I'm not going out into the community to befriend strangers. That's not my character. There has to be a reason behind my supposed 'search' for a friend. This guestbook signing troubled me, because what other reason is there to introduce yourself for than to become friends with someone? Oh, it's obvious, but I think it's ridiculous:

TO BECOME MORE POPULAR ON A WEBSITE!

I'm sorry, but I don't see any logic behind the statement. What reason is there to become the most popular on the website? Is it really that important to be noticed by thousands? I'd like to keep hidden in my corner, honestly. But that's my opinion. I kindly went to the person's site and signed their guestbook in return.. Although the possibility of me adding that being to my friend's list is slim to none...

The only real way to my list anyways is through Kim, as shallow as that may sound. She has a great judge of character, and all of her friends are welcomed by me. I've made quite a few friendships thanks to her, and they're all held very dearly to me. (Le, Shishou, Hearts, Ryo, CD, and Mr. LB)

Thanks for listening, I'll be around somewhere. Count on it.

Catch you in the roleplay, guys. ;)

Cole
