Hello hello!
It was another good day today. Jessica, Margaret, and I all went out shopping, and it was GOOD. ^^ We had so much fun--Margaret almost choked to death, I got Diet Coke up my nose, Jessica nearly fell outta the van, Margaret hit a pole...it was uber fun! ^^

This morning was not so fun! We had a fire drill at 2:30 am! It sucks being in a dorm! We had to get up, go outside, and then security went through and LOCKED all our doors! My roommate Katherine and I were locked out of our room (because we, being sane people, were more concerned with getting the hell outta Dodge than our keys) and so were Raquel and Holly (the girls across from us). We had to wait for Security for more than an hour! We all didn't get to go back to bed until 4:00 am! It was madness! I'm still super tired! ^^

Jessica's looking to be a donor for a vampire--anybody know a male vamp in the Lynchburg area who wouldn't mind a crazy chick to suck on? ^^ We went to Sanguinarius.org today and she found one in Arkansas--I helped her compose an email reply so she could sound suave and stuff. ^^ I know, that looks so funny! She keeps bugging me about TheVampireEd, because I mention him frequently (since I wuv him so and I wish he'd update since I can't seem to catch him on AIM). I keep telling that little homewrecker that he's all mine, neener neener neener. (We're super mature college freshman!) ^^

I'd love to go on and on, but it's late and my roomie would like to get some sleep. Hugs and kisses everyone! ^^

   It's been forever, I know!
School has been so super busy, I can't keep up with all the updates I think I should be doing. It's crazy! I love almost all of my classes, except those first-year requirements--I hate wellness courses! They're so...ew! But anyways, I adore my Japanese teacher. Radile-sensei is just so kawaii! She's the perfect older Japanese lady, sans kimono. And Professor Ishibashi (my Intro to East Asian Politics teacher) is super funny! She's got one of those voices like you hear in the dub-overs on National Geographic stuff. It's funny. My philosophy Professor, Professor Scow, is super nice, but when he starts to lecture, there is NO stopping him! That's okay, though. Since we've actually gotten into the class, it's been super interesting. I hope he doesn't think I'm not paying attention because I sit in the back and not talk--I can't help it! I'm feeling introspective, so I'd really rather let others do the talking, you know?
Ooh, I have to run now! My next class is ten minutes away, and I have to run across campus! Ja ne! ^^

   From the beginning...
Okay darling dearest little duckies who seem to have missed quite a few posts and every possible news report on the face of the planet--Hurricane Charley swept through my town. Hurricane Charley went right over my house. Hurricane Charley ruined the roof of my house and trashed my room. Are we all caught up now? ^^

College has been pretty cool. I know alotta people have gone twitchy over the idea of an all-girl school, but it's been awesome. There's no one to impress, so we can all run around with no make-up in our pajamas, and there isn't this need to cover up the female aspect of life (ie we don't have to slink into the shadows to ask for a pad or a tampon). The campus is beautiful too--just like something out of Harry Potter, it really is! Randolph-Macon Woman's College--ya'll should go investigate the site. I'm not saying go here, because there are some hard-core classes, but just take a look around and see why I'm having a smashing good time...so far...

I just had my first couple of classes today. Japanese was fun--the teacher is just so adorable, I love her to death! Professor Radile (first name Fumiko, how cute!) is so super funny, and she's super nice. She's an older Japanese lady, with the big hair and the big glasses, and she's such an itsy-bitsy thing. But she's really patient--it's a bunch of white people in our class...with the exception of the Chinese girl from Honolulu, but she's as bad at the pronounciations as we are. ^^" Horrible thing to say, I know.
I also had my first philosophy class. Professor Scow seems nice...but he has this flat, monotone voice, and he goes on and on and on and on...a handful of girls came in late, and even they couldn't interrupt him! The worst thing is the room is warm, the chairs/desks are kinda comfy, and I'm still brain dead from Orientation. I hope he picks up the pace or gets some inflection in his voice soon--I don't want to drop a class--that'd put me at 12 credits--but jiminy it's dull!
For poor Shinigami, who is unsure of how college works this side of the Atlantic, I don't know what to tell you darling. We free-base it, the classes are long, and we have to walk everywhere. Now, I must dash away to grab some lunch before my afternoon dance class. Yes, I have a dance class. Yay for the girl's school!

And no, I will NOT get a webcam for my dorm. ^^

   Long time no see!
I'm soooo sorry duckies! I've been gone so long and you all have been so bored without me, I know! ^^ Especially poor Ed--he hasn't had a decent sup since I left for school. I WUV YOU ED! ^^
It's been a pretty busy Orientation Week, but everyone here is so super nice! My roommate is particularly understanding, because I've been an insomniac, so I've been coming in late at night, and she doesn't get all spazzy or maternal on me. It's so cool--an all girl school hasn't really been that bad. ^^ Plus I don't have to worry about running into an ex on campus--I hate that so much!

As for my house, it wasn't in as good condition as we thought. The roof is a soggy mess and covered in tarps, and my room got totally thrashed (luckily the stuff I bought for college was in another room). The carpet in my room is clean now (yay for my dad!) but now my folks have to go and replace all the furniture that got ruined. I wish I could help, but they wouldn't let me miss the first week here. Oh well!
My dorm room is pretty nice too--it's big enough to almost fit our stuff, so it's super comfortable. Cozy and cramped with good fun stuff. ^^ Time to run--more Orientation stuff to do. I'll tell y'all about my group trip (I have to go and get to know my new classmates in a new setting) later. Bysee bysee! ^^

   Great news everyone!
The house still stands, yay!!!!!! One of the panes in my window is missing, there are some missing tiles off the roof, our pool cage was pretty much obliterated, and there's debris everywhere, but the house itself is okay! All our stuff is there, and everything! I'm so happy! ^^

Why am I laughing? I should not be laughing...
Hysterical laughter is NOT my friend. Hurricane Charley just swept across my town--the eye passed right over my neighborhood! Right now I'm holed up in a Holiday Inn Express in Ft. Pierce (that's on the east coast of Florida), watching the Weather Channel and suppressing the urge to cry. My mum is absolutely livid--she's a pretty religious lady (versus me...but we all already know that), but she is so mad right now; she can't figure out "how a righteous and just God that's been f*cking with me my whole life can do that". She seriously said the F-word! That's a big deal--my mum just does not curse, and if something slips, she either mutes herself or flinches or both. I'm about ready to cry for her, but everytime I start, she starts, and I stop because I cannot stand to watch my mummy cry. The family's okay though--my brother is here in Ft. Pierce with me and my mum, and my dad is holed up at the county jail. He's a deputy for the PD, and the emergency measures meant he (and a bunch of other people) had to go and hole up at the jail. He's got his cell phone though, so we're not cut off. He sounds ragged though...I miss my dad so much.
Right now mum has taken a soujourn to the lobby in search of a book--we left the house with the insurance stuff, the clothes on our back, a little bag of clothes, my laptop, and some toys for my brother. We just took the bare essentials. That's okay though--the hotel's pretty nice--there's a blowdryer and a coffee pot in the bathroom, the AC works really well (the phone jack and table are right next to it, so it's blowing on me), and my brother's handling it all okay. He freaks about storms, which was one of the main reasons for our leaving--that was when that bastard Charley was just a category 2 hurricane. Then it jumped from 2 to 4 in less than an hour, and went tearing through the coast...I just want to cry so bad right now! But I cried a little bit earlier, and there aren't any real tears left. That's good though--gotta keep it together.

Onto happier news--everyone notice the cheerful yellow redecoration? The Sanosuke theme song? Do we all remember what that means? Huh? ^^ I'll stop with the questions now. I aced my testing for yellow belt! I even snapped the board in half! It wasn't a straight line down the middle...it went at an angle again--but the halves are damn near equal in size, and it didn't splinter like the other board did. I'll get my belt next week...hopefully...ya know. Anyways...I'll have it before I go up to school, and hopefully there'll be a dojo to continue out once I get there. I really like tae kwan do. ^^

I also got a haircut today. It's a cute lil bob, and the humidity is making my hair curl like you wouldn't believe. It's really cute, but the lady suggested hilights, and stupid me went along with it. They're so bright right now! They're almost the same color as the background of this page. Frightening, I know. I really don't like them, but my mom thinks they're uber cute, so I'm just going "oh well, it's so different you know, still getting used to it, yada yada yada". The usual. ^^

Now I'm going to apologize for missing everyone's updates and lives. I know it's stupid and I have a very good reason not to have, but I've missed you guys! You're all so amusing and nice. ^^ I promise, I'm off to the updates. I swear...NO! STOP BEATING ME! OW, IT HURTS! NO, NOT THAT...NOT THAT!!!! [End Transmission]

Am I kooky, or what? ^^

   Lacking ideas...

My crappy little elf name is Leafwind Merryweather.
What's yours?
Powered by Rum and Monkey.

I love how elf names are just so hippy trippy. ^^ Anyways...I test for my belt tomorrow. I know, you all are sick of hearing it. Well tomorrow you can watch me do my ultra-hyper bouncy sugar success dance. That'll be fun--and jiggly. Jiggly...that is such an ugly looking word. Fun to say, ugly to read. I'm off topic. ^^
Um...I didn't really do anything today. I tried a couple of ideas for that Yu Gi Oh! story I mentioned last time. I'm not sure it's going so well. If Yami Seto gets on, I'll go bother her. She's nice and lets me. ^^ Now, to go talk with theVampireEd. I wuv him, remember?
Oh, and everyone go investigate my posts on the Otaku boards. I have poems up there! ^^

I am Nefertiti
I am Nefertiti
Take The Egyptian Goddess in all of us test today!
Created with Rum and Monkey's Personality Test Generator.

Nefertiti

Nefertiti is regarded as a goddess to some only because of her great beauty and wilyness. Some say she was the most beautiful woman who ever lived in Egypt. After her reign in Egypt, and her subsequent death, some began to worship her as a goddess: The goddess of Beauty and Intelligence.

Damn skippy. ^^

   Hello duckies!
I know it's been a while, but it's been an extra busy weeking. We shopped for some more stuff for my dorm room, then I went out with Andrea, Ben, and Andrea's friend Angie (that was a big fat flop like you wouldn't believe! More later, though! ^^), and Sunday my dad took me to the range and I learned how to shoot. That was fun, though I'm a lousy shot. I think that the bad guy should worry more for his safety if I aimed at the guy next to him. ^^ Mah well--it was fun and me dad and I bonded. ^^
As for Saturday night with the stupid people....we got kicked out of the karaoke bar because three of us were only 18 and the owners didn't feel like obeying statute and checking our ids and NOT serving us alcohol. So we tried this place called the Boom Boom Room. It's SUPPOSED to be an upscale nightclub. It sucked. ROYALLY! The music sucked, the atmosphere sucked, and the old people........one woman came in wearing a really thin dress and a white thong. We knew it was a white thong because we could see it under the black light....the trauma...the terror....MY EYEEEEESS!!!!!!

Now that THAT's over with...I test for my yellow belt Wednesday. Yay! That'll be fun. ^^ There really isn't anything else to say...so I shall tra la la off to NeoPets to feed my evil penguin Kirarasu--everyone be nice to PharohsConcubine, cuz that be me. ^^

Angry Drunk
What Kind of Drunk Are You?
Brought to you by Rum and Monkey

Maybe I am. SO WHAT?!?! ^^ Oh! Just remembered the question I came here to pose--I actually want to write a Yu Gi Oh! fanfic--I know...after all the Yugi bashing I've done, I'm turning around and saying that. I can't help myself--the manga is just so very nifty! It's a damn shame what they did to it so they could put it on the WB. Ah well--that isn't the point. The point is, I'd like to, but I'm not an expert and it'd be a purely American point of view. I suppose I should put this question to the Yu Gi Oh! fans, as they'd most likely be the ones reading it. SO, YamiSeto, Lady Malik, Seto Kaiba Freak--do give your opinions! And the rest of you Yu Gi Oh fans who didn't use the show as inspiration for your Otaku names. ^^

   Random Stuff!

Isn't this just freakin awesome? Sorccy's friend Sabina (who unfortunately lives in Canada, poor child) did it. She's uber nifty. If I knew her better, we'd be friends. Right now we just sling insults back and forth. She accuses me of being a 12-year-old AOL-er and I call her French/Canadian. Lovely things like that. ^^
Today was pretty good. My folks and I went to Steak-n-Shake for lunch today. They have the best chili! Really, they do! I should've ordered a bowl instead of the side. Now I know for next time. ^^ I joined NeoPets too....it was SO NOT MY IDEA. A bud of mine begged me to sign up, so I did...because I can't stand up to begging...I can't stand up to angst either. I'm just a soft touch. Mah well. I accept it and flaunt it. ^^
Talking to theVampireEd right now. Yay. He's sick and twisted, really he is. I WUV HIM! ^^ I feel extra spazzy tonight--lotsa caffeine today. I'll be up late tonight! ^^

   Fun fun weekend plans!
Andrea wanted me to go to the beach with her and one of her friends from school tomorrow. Chelsea and Victor won't be going, so I'm not going. But Saturday is going to be excellent--the bowling alley does Karaoke Saturday nights, so a whole bunch of us are getting together and going! Yay! First prize is $75. I'm gonna sing my ass off--if I win, that's how I'll be paying for my belt. Yep...$40. Isn't that just...ah well. ^^ I'm gonna wear a skanky top and sing either Blondie or Pat Benatar. Maybe "Dreamin" or "Hit Me With Your Best Shot". ^^ That'll be great! Too bad I couldn't sing something David Bowie did. I could so kick ass on "Major Tom". Ah well. I'll just have to settle for marrying him. ^^ See?

Certificate of Marriage

This is to certify that

Ayami Michigaki
and
Jareth

Were united in Marriage

on the 06th day of August 2004

MYFC

Okay, so it's not actually HIM. I don't care. He was a sexy beast in "Labyrinth". He's still a sexy beast...but the pants...I can't forget the pants. ^^
