Consider the decision
It seems as though every important decision we come across, things like stealing, fighting, having sex...we make these decisions a thousand times in the abstract--before they ever become personal, and predict every possible outcome and our responses years before they even matter. But then when it comes time to do what you planned to do, it seems as though your careful analysis is isolated from the moment, like we never even acknowledge that this is the descision we had planned on, and proceed to act on the impulse. Then later, we remember what our decision was, and what we wanted it to be..all that planning, the only use for it comes after the fact, in reflection on the situation itself...
