Hurh?!
Somebody please explain to me what the point is in drawing fan art if all you do is look at one of the official images and redraw it -- especially if you're going to post it online later and say something like, "Check out my art! This is the first time I drew this character. I'm starting to get pretty good.". I've seen a great deal of this on myotaku.com, so hopefully some people have some insights on this.
