Rough Beginnings

I've decided not to put dates anymore. Just to confusing. But this story is still in journal form. I'm thinking of changing it. Anyway... The three days later... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~DayDream~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kotsu:"Kristen, what's the day you get out of that place you go everyday?" Kristen:"What place? You mean school? I get two days of three days from now. Why?" "I want to give you your birthday present. So when you get back, on your last day, pack your bag for your days off." "Where are we going?" "Bye." He left. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~DayDream~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I kept remembering that during dance class and got distracted. Afterwards, I realized that I forgot to tell Kotsu that I had dance class after school on Fridays. Raven stayed home this week, so I went by myself. I forgot it was going to rain later that day, too. So after class, I stood in the school hallway and stared at the rain. I sighed. Alana, the girl I used to hate for kissing my, now ex, boyfriend, walked up to me. Alana:"Hey Kristen. Some guy's outside waiting for you." Kristen:"What guy? "Maybe he's your boyfriend." "I don't have a boyfriend. I'll go see. Bye." "Bye." I opened the main door. I got a little wet. I looked outside and saw Kotsu with an umbrella for me. Kotsu:"Let's get going." Kristen:"Thanks." We started to walk down the sidewalk. But I was the one using the umbrella. Kristen:"Kotsu, don't you think it would be better if we shared the umbrella? You're getting soaked." Kotsu:"I'm not the one who needs it. I brought for you." "But--" "There's not enough room for two. I'm used to walking in the rain. Just use it." "...You seem tense. Is something wrong?" "It's nothing." It was silent for the rest of the walk home. I started remembering what Alana said. My Boyfriend? The thought of it embarassed me a little. I find it hard to picture Kotsu as my boyfriend. We're just friends. Nothing more. Friends... Kotsu:"Hey." Kristen:"Huh?" "We are you going? The house is right here." "Sorry. Spaced out." When we got inside, Kotsu and I dried off. Raven:"Hi." Kristen:"Hey." Kotsu:"Get your bags. Let's leave." Then Mom came in with a plate of food. Mom:"Leaving so soon? But don't you want to eat first?" Kristen:"That's alright. We can eat when we get to... where ever we're going." Raven:"Let's get our bags." Raven, Kotsu, and I went upstairs. We got our bags from our rooms and went back into the hall. Raven and I started to walk down the steps. Kotsu:"Where are you two going? It's here." He put his hand on the wall and a blue light appeared. A portal opened up. Kotsu:"Step in." That's all I can do right now. I'm in the library. I'll see if I can do more though.
