Rough Beginnings


Same Day

When I woke up, I was in my bed, with my hair out and the sheet covering me. My parents staying late at work tonight, so only Raven was home. I got out of bed. Kotsu had already left. On the table next to my bed, there was a blue rose carefully placed there. From the bottom of petals, it was white. Then, it faded, into blue so it was blue at the top. It let off a dim light. It was so beautiful. There was a note tied to the stem:

I hope you like this rare blue rose. All you do is ask it for whatever you want, and it will happen.


It was in Raven's handwriting. I guess Kotsu can't write.

Kristen:"Umm... I'd like to see Kotsu... please."

Then, a picture, like a perjection, appeared over the rose. Kotsu was somewhere, like a forest. He was walking down a path through trees.

Kristen:"Where is he?"

Then Kotsu went through some trees. It looked easy to lost. Soon he met up with Aoshi. Aoshi was building something. A half completed house.

Kotsu:"How's it coming along?"

Aoshi:"Just fine. But you know. It would go along a lot faster if HELPED ME!!"

"Alright, fine."

Kotsu started helping him build.

Aoshi:"So what were you doing?"

Kotsu:"I was with Kristen. I... told her everything."

"So, what did she say?"

"Nothing."

"Oh."

Kristen:"Kotsu..."

Aoshi:"So, did you see... Raven?"

Kotsu:"Yes. Why do you ask?"

"......"

"You... like her. Don't you?"

Kristen:"Raven!! Come here!!"

Soon, Raven came busting through the door.

Raven:"What's wrong?!"

Kristen:"Look."

Aoshi:"...Maybe."

Raven:"Maybe what?"

Kristen:"Aoshi likes you."

Raven:"What?"

Kotsu:"You do remember she has a boyfriend, right?"

Aoshi:"I know. But I can't help it."
