   Lovely rants
Happy late Valentine?s Day, everyone. ^_^

My Valentine?s Day wasn?t all that great. We did get snow here, which is rare here, and it looked pretty cool outside. I think I?m turning sick. I?ve got a scratchy throat and a runny nose, not to mention I?m a little freezing right now, lol. I hope it doesn?t get worse, I hate it when I?m sick. Ugh, I also have a headache at the moment. But, it was basically a regular day for me yesterday.

I?d like rant a little on a topic that?s been on my mind lately. It has to deal with friendship. Now where do I start? Ah, I?ll start by asking this: Why do certain groups hate each other in high school? Like why do the smart people usually dislike jocks? I?m not trying to say that it happens everywhere, but even so, why does this even exist? Why do some people usually judge one another just because of what group they are a part of? Now me, I have a lot of different friends. I have friends who are jocks, intelligent people, those in choir, and so on.

When Jacob came to visit my school last semester, he told me afterward that he already hated someone. He said that he could tell he was one of those jocks, and as it turned out, the person that he already hates is on the football team. (If you want to know why Jacob hates him check one of my previous posts, at least I think I posted why he hated him. ^^;;) Now yes, I did find this jock annoying, but I?ve grown fond of him and consider him a friend. We don?t talk a lot, but when we do, he?s a pretty good guy. Not to mention this jock is pretty smart. He?s on the football and wrestling team, he?s taking Latin and two AP classes that I know of, and is managing to balance all of that pretty well. Now I admire that. My friend, Priscilla, and I were talking not too long ago and she brought the fact that people usually don?t expect jocks to be smart. I find it really stupid that some people actually do that.

Two of my friends in choir did bug me a while back. When the school football team won state ch
ampionship, the school gave a small pep rally a few days later, congratulating the team. Later that day, I was talking with those two friends from choir. They weren?t very pleased with the pep rally. They told me that they hate the fact that the school gives a pep rally for the football team, while yet barely recognize anything else including choir. Then they start insulting the football team, well except for one player just because he?s also in choir. While I do find what they say about how the school is obsessed with their football team, I found it really unnecessary to go and insult the football players, not to mention that some of them are my friends.

That?s pretty much what I want to get off my head for right now. But, I guess that?s just a part of life.
