   sooo bored

There really isn't much more to say today than yesterday. I watched Newsies last night, though. I have to say it was pretty good. The choreography was strange (I couldn't help laughing in a couple of places), but the songs were good and the characters were even better. My particular favorite was Jack. What can I say? I'm weird that way.

Anyway, in other news ...
Sagi and I are working on a retelling of Cinderella. It's a modern take, although we might do a more traditional one later. Who knows? It's in the planning stages right now. There are still some things that have to be worked out (like the mile-wide holes in the plot ... the plot, always the stupid plot ...). The first draft should be done by May 30, then after it's been edited I am going to be posting it on myO for y'all to read. Constructive critism is most welcome. ^__^

Welp, I think I've droned on for long enough. One last thing and I promise I will shut up: Good bye, Jason! We will miss you around here. It won't be the same without you and your ham sandwiches. Devan is a lucky girl. I hope you two will be very happy together. You deserve it. *hugs Jason*

Have a great day everyone! Don't forget to say good bye to Under the Knife if you haven't already.

   I'm baaaaaaaaaaaack

I didn't mean to take a vacation from y'all, but life kinda snuck up on me. It was like BOOM, homework, FAFSA forms, scheduling ... blah, blah blah. I still have scheduling to do, but everything else is taken care of (thank the powers that be!). I already have an idea of what I want to take next semester. I just hope the classes are being offered. Sign language and Women in American History in particular. I'm going to see if I can take care of all that next week, sooo I guess we'll see then. First I have to track down my student advisor, who is supposed to be the dean, but ... isn't. That should be fun. It always is.

Some bad news: Cecilia has apparently moved back in. Already. *sighs* I guess I shouldn't be surprised. This has happened before and it never lasts long. Can't help hoping, though. Who knows? It could be temporary. I don't think so, but, hey, it could happen.
We can only hope.

It's sad, but I think that's everything. It hasn't been an interesting couple of days. Before I go, though, a question: if you could pick a fairytale to be retold, which one would it be?
*hugs everyone* Have a great day!

   do the bunny hop ... hop, hop, hop ... ^ ^;

My biggest piece of news: my dad is a complete moron. Okay, here's the story: Thursday night (at least I think it was Thursday ...) he calls me to tell me that Cecilia (his "girlfriend", who I absolutely cannot stand) moved out of my grandma's and was back living with her family. If you ask me, that's where she belongs. Ever since she came into our lives she has done nothing but screw everything up. Maybe it's wrong to blame her for all the crap that has gone on - and to be fair, there are times when I don't - but I can't help the way I feel, and she is responsible for a large part of it. She treats my grandma like she doesn't even exist when my grandma let the woman live in her house rent-free and even bought clothes for her, made her dinner (and bought the food), and never asks for anything in return except a simple thank you or hello, which was apparently too hard for her to accomplish, and besides that my dad has told me several times that he doesn't love her, that they were only friends. He even let her start sleeping with one of her ex-boyfriends! But during this conversation he said he didn't think this would last long, that she would be wanting to come back within a week. I asked him what he would tell her if she did ask to come back. His reply: "I don't know." Meaning he might let her. *rolls eyes* And as if that's not bad enough, my mom told me when I came home that at some point this weekend he stopped by and he was drunk. He also told her he didn't want me seeing him like that (as if I haven't seen him ten times worse!), but when he found out I wasn't here, what did he do? He went out his truck and got more wine. It isn't worth it! She is not worth it! He is screwing up his life even more than it was before, and that was bad enough!
*starts banging her head against the desk in frustration*
Ookay. I am going to change subjects now ...

I got the 8th volume of Fruits Basket! I haven't read it all, but what I have read ... I LOVE THAT SERIES SOOO MUCH! It is so complex and the characters are great, fantastically concieved ... Kazuma cut his hair, though. *gets pouty* j/k I also bought the 13th volume of Rurouni Kenshin while I was at it (YAY!), which I haven't even looked at yet. So much to read, so little time. *sighs*

I'm done ranting for today. Sorry if I bored anyone. Y'all have a wonderful day! Enjoy the weather!

if you ... la la la la

Good mornin' everyone! I hope I got to all your sites yesterday. If I didn't ... once again, I am sorry. I won't be able to visit everyone today either, although I promise to get to everyone I possibly can. After class I'm going over to a friend's house, so I'll be without a computer until Sunday. *bows apologetically* The good thing is ... we'll be going to the mall, which means Fruits Basket for me! Yay! I really cannot wait to get my hands on the 8th volume! I'm not certain or anything, but I think Rin will be showing up soon. I hope so. She will be the first new character met in awhile. ^__^

Oh! I finally picked a topic for my persuasive speech! I am going to try to persuade my fellow prisoners in Oral Communcations to get more sleep. It's kind of stupid, but important to their health, so ... *shrugs* Besides, we don't get graded on our topic (thankfully!). I think it will work if I present it well (which is a long shot, a very long shot, but I'm going to try my hardest).

If you don't read fanfiction, feel free to skip this next part.
I dunno why I decided to do this, but for your reading pleasure, I present some of my favorite fanfics:
Best piece of Ranma 1/2 fanfiction: Hearts of Ice by Krista Perry
Best piece of InuYasha fanfiction: Beast by Ikustioa
Best piece of Fruits Basket fanfiction: The Prince of Snows by moira2
Best piece of Rurouni Kenshin fanfiction: I couldn't choose just one, so ...Light of the Snow Red Villiage by Akai Kitsune, The Snow Raven by Krista Perry, and Descent into Madness by Conspirator
Best piece of Gundam Wing fanfiction: Another category in which I couldn't choose just one ... Soul Forge by zooie and Here Comes a Candle by Krista Perry
Best piece of Digimon fanfiction: The Road Not Taken by Lady Ophelia
Also, here are some links to a couple of fanfiction archives: one for Fruits Basket and another for InuYasha.
I know that no one probably cares about any of that, but I had a lot time on my hands, so I figured I would share on the off chance that someone on myO loves fanfiction as much as I do. ^ ^;

Well, I guess it's byesy bye until Sunday. I hope you all have the greatest of great weekends! *hugs*
Oh, and don't forget, tomorrow is Momiji Day (by the order of Sakura Star) so remember to celebrate the rabbit!

   all nighter

I am so very sorry if I didn't get to everyone's site yesterday! *bows apologetically* I tried to, I really, truly did, it's just ... well ... I had a rough draft of an eight page paper due today, so ... yeah. It kinda snuck up on me. It barely made seven pages, but it sounds a lot better than my last one so I think it balances out, and besides, it's only a rough draft. I'll add in anything else I need to later. I'm too tired to be all that concerned about it right now.
*yawns*
I would go to bed, but there wouldn't be much point. I would have to get up in three and half hours anyway and I do better on no sleep than a little sleep. I get these horrible headaches.
English is not gonna be fun tomorrow. I think we're watching a movie, though, so it might not be such a big deal.

reading: Sarah by Orson Scott Card. A very good book (the first book in his Women of Genesis series) and an excellent author. I definitely recommend picking up anything of his.

If I don't get to all of your sites again today, you can pretty much bet that it's because I am sprawled out on my bed snoring away. I am sorry in advance if that happens.

Here's my award from tiggerola's contest:

It's it spiffy!? Thanks tiggerola!

   hello, hello, hello!

Hello again, everyone! *gives you all hugs, then passes out candy bars (your choice, of course, lol)*

I have a question ... My next speech is coming up for Oral Communications (the outline is due Thursday and we have to actually give it the next week) and this one is persuasive. I'm having trouble coming up with a good topic. I can't seem to come up with anything legitimate. *sighs* So ... does anyone here have any ideas? I would very much appreciate any suggestions you feel like tossing up. Anything has got to be better than some of the crap that's passed through my head these last couple of days.

On a completely non-school related topic: the eighth volume of Fruits Basket is out! *is all excited, hopping up and down and everything*
Yes, yes, I know, I'm a dork. But it gives me something to look forward to, doesn't it?

Anyway ...
reading: The Gunslinger by Stephen King. Not a bad book. A quick read if nothing else. Sort of, anyway. I'm all excited about another book I found, though, called Bound. It's a retelling of the Chinese version of Cinderella. ^__^

The Children of the Zodiac would like to welcome FruitsBasket4Life to the club. Thank you for joining!
Oh, and for all the members here is the URL for the site since the button doesn't seem to be working: http://childrenofthezodiac.bravehost.com/index.html. There are some new banners if anyone would like to check them out.

Well, I guess I'll shut up for now!

   bwahahahahahahaha

Kara has decided to take a nice long vacation of sorts to clear her head and inner mind. So here is Sagi to write down all the things she doesn't want to tell other people something like the.

Let's see . . . .

A. She's 4'11 and a little touchy about it. Her goal in life is to reach 5 feet, but seeing as she's 19 it isn't likely to happen.
B. Her favorite disney movie is Hercules. Oh, and she hates the old disney movies where the heroines do nothing for themselves . . . like Cinderella and Snow White. Especially Snow White.
C.She like Monty Python. I hate it and can't understand her for it.
D. Her old nickname from when was little was . . . ::whispers:: Beaner
E. She foreces me to read things. Unfortunatly I always end up liking those things . . .
F. She always makes me write the bad guys. So what if I'm good at it? I always have to play the robber.
G. She has a crush on Jonny Rochester. Ask her about it. She'll tell you.
H. Some of her high school nicknames were Zimmie and Zinsmistro. Strange, but then so is her last name.
I.She hates bigots. But then again don't we all?
J. She's an amazing writer, though she'd never tell you herself and doesn't think that she is. But she is.
K. She has to have her room clean to be able to think straight in it. Everything in its place and all neat and orederly. I think that it's a pisces thing.

Well, that's all for now. This is Sagi. Signing out and smiling away.

   hmm ...

Okay, first off, I would like to welcome Wing Moon, Finalfan1015, Scorpi.121, and peibu to The Children of the Zodiac. Also, the site has been fixed!

Thanks, Sagi! *hugs*

It has taken almost all of spring break, but ... it is time for the work to finally start. I am being put to work tonight cleaning the house. lol. I don't really care, as long Mom and Keith are gone. I have this thing about doing housework when they're around. Dunno why. *shrugs* I'll just put on some loud music and get to it. Who knows? It might actually be fun.
Riiight.
lol

Well, happy April Fool's Day, everyone! Have fun pranking someone!

   'ello!

Another absolutely stunning day, although a bit more windy than yesterday, cooler, too. Oh well. It's still warm enough to open the windows and go runnin' around barefoot and that's all that matters. ^__^
Ah, spring! We have missed you so!

Max and the Cats isn't actually so bad. I started reading it a few days ago and it hasn't bored me, if that counts for anything. lol. So far I am seeing zero resemblance between it and Life of Pi. Max and Pi's situations are totally different and so are they themselves. *shakes head* I dunno. Maybe I'm missing something. *shrugs* I'll wait until I finish it to make my final judgement.

ANYWAY, more club stuff: I would like to welcome chichirocks, redmoonchick, sweetrose, Mimiru gurl, and kagomeinuyasha199 into the club. Thank you all for joining! *hugs all the new members*
Also, thanks to my good friend Sagi The Children of the Zodiac now has a website (although it doesn't seem to be working at the moment ^ ^;). I'll put the button on here, anyway, because I think it's cute. (thanks to ob53zt tang3rtin3 for making the button btw! *hugs*)

Well, I'm done borin' y'all for today. I think I'll go run around outside, enjoy the sun.
Boo ya!

   eeeeeehhhhhhhh

I am so, so, so sorry if I didn't get to you yesterday! *bows apologetically* I will get to everyone today, though, I swear, no matter what! It just got so hectic ... I never expected that so many people would be interested in joing the Children of the Zodiac. I got a little overwhelmed with PMs ...
Speaking of which ... I am proud to welcome Silent Love, Takako, RinoaSquall4ever, EternalDragon, animegirl-11, fox ressurected, dream wings, tiggerola, and banzaiinu1 into the club! *hugs you all, then passes out cake and cookies* Thank you all for joining!

Well, there isn't much else to say and it's really too beautiful a day to stay inside for long, so ... But before I go, I have a question for you guys: what trait would you consider most important in a friend?
