   Tomodachi...

I'm having my friends over right now. Two of my friends, actually. Ami (you've heard of her before) and Zuby. We're making origami!

You see, Zuby needed help with her origami project thingy. As I am the origami person. So I am currently trying to do a paper heart frame. Of which I'm not too sure myself. Ami's a Gundam SEED fan. She loves Kira and dislikes Shinn. Zuby is a neutral party. She neither likes nor dislikes.

Oh, and I published my cute little AthrunShinn (shounen-ai) fanfiction a few days ago. I got a few reviews, so I'm glad. ^^

Got to go. I need to show my friends how to make a heart.

All the best, minna. God Bless.

   Bad Dubbing

Watched a lot of anime today. GSD, Rockman EXE, and Machine Robo Rescue. ^^; Couldn't resist. Mecha anime is my favourite.

Well, I said last time that I hate dubbing. Miss Anonymous asked if the dubbing was really that bad. Well, now that I've alrady watched it, it's official. Gundam SEED Destiny's english dub is horrible! So horrible it's beyond words.

Rey sounds like an old man. Arthur sounds like an Englishman with a backbone! Auel sounds like a girl. Dullindal sounds so trustworthy: we know he's not. Argh! It sucked. And to make it worse, there was dual sound, and my tv doesn't have dual sound. I could've watched it in jap. -_-;

Well, ta, for now. Until I have something more ot rant about, me think. God Bless.

   ::hunger::

Today is the third day of the fasting month. Twenty seven more days to go. ^^;

I've been reading a lot of fanfictions lately. Harry Potter, Gundam SEED. I should get over this. Tis not good to spend hours staring at the computer screen.

Well, I've got to go and do the dishes from this morning's sahur. It's something like a very early and heavy breakfast before we start fasting.

God Bless, y'all.

   ::whee~!::

I finally got my mum's consent to download a new browser! See, we have two computers, the old Mac I'm on now, and the Windows laptop, which is fairly new. So, we have the old, outdated IE browser on this Mac, of which I can't get on MyO with. Everytime someone wants to do heavy duty surfing, he would have to do it on the laptop. But now, since I've gotten a new browser, things get done much easier!

I'm now using Firefox! Yay! It's much better that IE, I can tell you that. Although I have yet to try Safari, since my OS is really really old. ^^; ::sigh:: I need to earn money so I can upgrade my Mac. My fingers are all over the keyboard! I keep making mistakes and always pressing the worng kues [wrong keys]. See what I mean? I guess it's because I'm too used to the laptop keys which are really soft. ^^;

Tomorrow's the first day of Ramadhan! Fasting month, here we come! Tonight, my family shall go to the mosque to do our mightly prayers specially for this month. The Terawih prayers, it's called. Every night for the thirty days of the month. Tomorrow we'll start fasting, so tonight will be the first day of Ramadhan. Confusing? That's because for the Muslim calander, the day ends at the 'Isyak prayers, which is about an hour after dusk (sunset) it's a whole new day already.

I shouldn't bore you with details. I was never that attentive in my religious classes anyway. ^^; Shame on me.

Well, all the best, y'all, and May God Bless.

Random thought: Why is it when I read something, I can't put it down until I've finished it?

   the Weekend

A lot has happened this weekend. (Erm... it's Sunday evening where I live.) Friday I went to my bestfriend's (her name is Ami) openhouse. She recently moved, so it was the first time I went to her house. Her house has four entrances! The front door, the kitchen door, and two balconies (she lives on the first floor). The amount of food there was staggering. Everyone who came (she has a lot of relatives) went back home with some food. Since most of the people there were aunts and old folks, my Ami and I were delegated to moving furniture, stacking up dishes, serving of food, washing of dishes, the menial work. But it was fun. It had been a whole month since I last saw Ami, soince we now go to different schools. Just us, enjoying each other's company.

While I was there, I inspected her manga collection, and grabbed whichever I hadn't read. Which amounted to six books. And I also borrowed a few cds. Now I have something to do when I'm bored.

On Saturday, there was a reunion with my old classmates. Ami and I went together, since we lived quite near to each other. We met at the river, and had a sort of picnic there. One time, I accidentally dropped a piece of biscuit, and several pigeons came sweeping down to eat it. The several became a lot. Everyone went running save myself, and two other friends. ^^ We made a lot of noise, and there were people and tourists about. ^^;

Today is Sunday, and this morning my mother asked me to accompany her to visit my late grandma's grave. There were a lot people at the cemetary, since it's a Sunday,and the Fasting month is starting this Wednesday. So my mum cleaned the grave a bit (not like wiping the headstone or anything, just cutting the over long grass, that sort of thing) and then went back home.

But the thing is, we went to the cemetary by taxi. The nearest bus stop was about a half kilometre (I think) away. So my mum and I had to walk out of the cemetary and down a long stretch of road. Luckily it was windy and drizzling. I wouldn't want to imagine walking that stretch under the hot sun. ^^;

And I just watched the last episode of Vandread the Second Stage! I finished watching another complete series! Yay! Vandread was really funny!

Random thought: Being in a cemetary really reminds me of death. ^^; Especially when I could see a burial going on just a short distance away. ?

A long post, so I'll end it now. Good luck, all, and God Bless.

You scored as Islam. Your beliefs are most similar to those of Islam. Do more research on Islam and possibly consider taking the shahadah and officially becoming a Muslim, if you aren't already.

Despite the actions of some - who go against the teachings of Islam - Islam is a religion of peace; the word "islam" means "peace through submission to God." "Muslim" means "one who submits to God." Islam is the third of the three Abrahamic faiths, and it shares much with Judaism in Christianity; its differences are the acceptance of Muhammad as the last and final prophet, and the oneness of God - in other words, that Jesus, though he was a revered prophet, was not in fact God, and only one God exists. Apparently the Taliban could not read (though their name means "students"), because the Qur'an states that men and women are equal as believers, and that all believers should be educated and seek knowledge. Modesty in dress and behavior is required in Islam for both men and women to preserve the values of society and move the emphasis from superificial appearance to intelligence, knowledge, and God.

   Saa...

Oooh! I can't wait till Gundam Seed Destiny starts. They're going to play it in dual sound, english and japanese. But since my TV doesn't have dual sound, I'll have to watch the english dub. I hate dubs. But next week is the last episode for GSD, and I can't wait until Rey dies. And Shinn to get beaten by Athrun. Shinn's a cool dude, I like him, but he's so stupid. Why does he have to listen to ZAFT? Also, after reading a few fics, I found that I now support KiraShinn and AthrunShinn. I've seen Athrun fanclubs, and Kira fanclubs. But I haven't seen AsuKira, or any other. Does MyO support yaoi? Maybe I should go and check their rules.

Oh, remember the job I was telling you guys about? Happens so, they replied to my email, and I was asked to call them. So, on Monday, I did, and the person told me to come down to their office that afternoon. I was okay with that, because I'm on holiday, but I felt that it was a bit abrupt. So I went to their office, and the lady asked me to build those toy machines using lego. Rather, it was like assembling the toy using the lego parts, and doing it according to the instructions. It was simple and fun, made me feel like a kid again. And the lady said she'll call me if they need me. Turns out I'm just going to be facilitating kids playing lego at childcare centres. It doesn't sound so hard, I guess. The lady asked me to fill in a form, and there was a space that said 'job experience'. I put down 'none'. ^^ This'll be my first job. If I get a call.

After that interview of sorts, I went to the new National Library. I was in the area, so I just popped into the buidling for a look. Man, was it huge! It was my first time since it opened, and I borrowed two books. I'd been feeling bored the whole weekend because I didn't have anymore books to read. I had finished all the books I borrowed last week. ^^

Good luck with school and all. May God Bless. Peace!

   ::hehe::

My grandparents are visiting at my house. When they visit, I'll have to serve water, food, and clean the dishes. Not that I don't mind, but ever since my maternal grandmother passed away, I've never learnt how to serve old people properly. One skill I have to learn.

My intial excitement of my exam results (see previous post) has evaporated. This morning, I looked through the list of the subjects that I'll be taking next semester, and I got depressed. Biochemistry. Biomedical Fundamentals. Electronic Devices. Just reading the names make me sigh. With my good (please note sarcasm) results this semester, I'll be expected to maintain. That's the hardest part. Because I don't remember studying really hard. I really don't. Baffling, ne?

Hmm, does anyone here know how to edit videos? My sis took a video recording of my grandparents to send to my aunt in England. But the thing is, the video file is too big, and the maximum email attachment size is 10MB. Can anyone help?

I'll have to take my leave, now. Stay safe, all. God Bless.

   ::aaahhhh!!!::

I got my exam results yesterday! My friend recieved her results a day early. So I went online to check my results, and I was so shocked. I scored A's for all subjects except one, for which I got a B. I was like, omigod! I can't believe I got all A's!!! Waaah!!! I still can't believe it. My GPA point is 3.88. I don't really understand this GPA thing, but what I know is that it's used in the American school system. Is it? I don't really know. Is my score good or bad? Hmm...

Other matters: Today was Mentoring Day. I took Mentoring as my Co Curricular Activity. We all, mentors and mentees, had games. We were assigned groups and the organisers made us play Amazing Race. There were game stations, and it was fun, although rather tiring. After that, we had to perform a skit and create a trophy. Imagine trying to control fourteen 11 and 12 year old kids? It was really really tiring. My ears hurt. With all the shouting and the arguments, it's a wonder that I actually survived the six hours activity.

Now that I have ice-cream, I shall take my leave. I need to rest my feet and get food into my body. ^^ Take care, all. God Bless.

   ^^

I just sent an application for a temporary job. I can't decide whether I'm good at creating things with Lego or not. It was a requirement for the job, so I decided to give it a try. I have a Lego set at home, and I think it's collecting dust. The last time it was opened was... last year. June, I think.

Other matters: Sunday was fun! The Ramadan Youth Challenge: Project Clean Up was so so fun! My friend and I were assigned to visit the homes of old folks who live alone. The organisers also gave us a bucket filled with cleaning materials, a mop, broom, detergent, the like. So we set off. There were five of us, three youths, and two aunties. ^^ When we arrived at the house, it was a one room flat. It was clean, and the grandma who lived there could clean up after herself. T'was sad, though. She lived alone. Imagine living alone, day and night. Still, the five of us mopped the house, cleaned the windows and toilet.

Currently, I'm watching the Fantastic Four cartoon. It's the really old one, and very low quality. Being used to high quality anime, I keep dissing these old but really amusing cartoons. Heh. Well, back to the story. After cleaning up that old lady's home, we went to eat, and the two aunties that were with us were so kind to pay for our food. Then we went to clean another person's house. We rang and rang the doorbell but no one answered.

After that, us youths were supposed to go and report back at a mosque. We got free lunch and we sat down to listen to some lectures. It wasn't very exciting here, though. There was a lot of left over food, so some of the kids went to go and eat again and again. T'was very disturbing, I tell you. They ate lunch at around 12:30, and then they ate the same serving again at 3:30. Bottomless stomachs, I guess. And I'm talking about girls, here.

^^ That was a long post, I think.

   Life

Yesterday, for the first time in weeks, I swept my room. I swept the floor, and even under my bed. There was a lot of dust. I can't believe I'm not more hygienic. I really need to keep my room clean, else I get sick. Even worse, my sister. It'll be disasterous, 'cos she'll be having her exams soon.

Speaking of my sis, she'll be having her presentation tomorrow. Too bad I can't go and watch her talk in front of lots of people. She'd been practising over and over for the past few days. ^^; I'll be glad when it's over.

I'm also trying to reshuffle my mangas and books. I think I'll need to get a new shelf. My books cannot fit into the cabinet anymore, and it's very messy. And I found out that I lost a whole chunk of my notes! I took the notes out for the exam, and when I cleaned the whole room I decided to fix all my notes back into my book. Problem is, I can't find the notes for chapter 10 to 13. That's four chapters gone! And they're the most important and difficult part of the suject, too. With my luck, you'd think I broke a mirror or something.

Well, I hope ya'll have a good weekend. Peace, and God Bless.
