I really really shouldn't be here.
But I am. >_<||
*bangs head repeatedly* And I know that I can't afford a B for any subject because that will seriously bring down my GPA, and might kick me out of Director's List. Which will be a total embarrassment. >_<|||
Exams are next week.
Tue 27 Feb 1430 || Biomedical Signal and Image Processing
Wed 28 Feb 1430 || Microcontroller Techonology
Thu 1 Mar 1430 || Introduction to Bioinformatics
Fri 2 Mar 0930 || Medical Devices
Gah, 4 papers, and so many things to remember!!! *wails*
I'd better go back to my books now. Yeah, I should. Prod me?

Gah!
And here I'm supposed to be studying for exams. Ugh. Well, my weekend was quite eventful, considering how dull my weekends have been for the past months. I got stuck in two different jams in two days. That's a record.
On Sun, my mum decided that we go for a day shopping trip to JB, Malaysia. That's across the causeway, and we travelled into another country. It ended up being an eating trip. We didn't actually buy anything. Ok, so the jam was a human traffic jam. We had to queue to get passports stamped before we can go into the country. Going out of Singapore was a breeze, but going into Malaysia was the problem. There were so many people, and they were trickling through customs very very slowly. >_<|| The place was small and cramped, it was sweltering/stuffy (it was noon) and there wasn't any air-conditioning!!! Imagine the body of people around you, outside temperatures around... 37-38 degress celcius? Ugh. I sweated more in that hour and a half waiting to get my passport stamped than the past month in school. [Thank god for school aircon.] Luckily I had good songs on my phone. And I brought along my lecture notes - I actually studied a part of the chapter.
But the rest of the day was fun enough. We ate at restuarants we would've never went to in Singapore The exchange rate is a dollar (sg) to two (malaysia). Gah, did we pig out. We ate lunch (a very late lunch due to the jam) and then ice cream and then tea and then dinner! Whoot.
Yesterday, a traffic jam occured. Which is rare. Usually, the only reason you can think of when these sort jams occur is that there's a serious accident somewhere, and thus you'll get stuck. We got stuck for a few hours in a bus. This time it was all air-conditioned, so not much complaints from me. It turned out, that the cause of the jam was that all the cars wanted to go into Sentosa (an island off Singapore which was holding a festival that day). The bridge wasn't that big, so everything was trickling through very slowly. It took us an hour to get through two traffic lights. But afterwards, the roads were clear. -_-||
But it was fun, being stuck in a traffic jam: you hardly get to experience these here anymore.

I shaped this bread earlier this afternoon. ^__^ Cute, right? I intended for it to be a cat (ala Fruits Basket's Kyou-kun~) but it turned out cute enough. [Oh, and my mum's cake? The sponge cake didn't turn out as it was supposed to. But she was happy anyway.]
Ok, I'd better go study, I think. Take care all~!
Wishing everyone and your families a Happy and Prosperous Lunar New Year! May God Bless.

Whoot~!
First and foremost, I am delighted to announce that my projects are finished. Done. End. *whoops of joy* There's only one pending submission, and that's on friday, and hopefully the program demonstration will go amoothly. Pray hard, I will. But we've completed everything, and it's all done and suddenly it feels weird.
It feels weird. Why? Because for the past months we've been working hard, being very busy with projects and quizzes and lab tests and everythign then suddenly - BAM! - we have nothing to do. Nothing. No reports to rush, no presentations to prepare. And believe me, it feels weird. Really weird. Of course, there's still my exams in two weeks' time, but I'll worry about that later. There'll be enough time to study during the one week study break next week. :)
But I feel relieved. Because all work is done and there isn't anything in the immediate future to worry about. And I'm going to catch up on all the lost sleep. Sleeping in is now permissible. ^__^
And since tomorrow's my mum's birthday, my sister and I are going to bake a cake~! I think it'll be a marble cake - though we haven't decided yet. We're going to wake up around 7 am - my mum would've gone off to work by then - and we'll bake. School starts at noon for me tomorrow, so there'll be plenty of time to bake two cakes. ^__^
So I'll stop my ranting and go to sleep. Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! ^__^ Take care, and may God Bless.

I decided to stop by, and try to clear my head a little. I'm supposed to be writing out my program codes, but somehow, I got here instead. So as not to make this a pointless post:
A few weeks back, my group-mates and I had to stay back in school to use the computers (we didn't have the software needed at home) to finish up a group project. So when we left school, all was dark. Seriously, you don't notice anything about the weather outside at all when you're in my school building. Everything is bright and cold, because of the air-conditioning. It was around 8 pm, I think, and we were walking through the carpark to the bus stop. Halfway there, it started to rain. At first it was a drizzle, so we just walked a bit faster.
But then suddenly it started raining really really heavily. Like, super uber heavy. And what did we do? We started running. We were worried about our electronic equiptment (circuit boards) we were carrying. After running for awhile, I realised that I had an umbrella in my bag, so I stopped to open it.
When I met up with the rest of my friends, it turned out that one of them had an umbrella, too. We were giggling and laughing over how wet we were (even though I was under an umbrella half the journey). The other peole at the bus stop were looking at us weirdly, like we were crazed girls running in the rain.
But none of us got sick, which was the good thing. LOL.

Okay. I should go back to work now. Take care everyone, and may God Bless.

Dropping by
It's nearing 2300 now, and I'm tired. But I'm posting a really really short one here to tell you that I haven't forgotten this site. Right now I'm really really busy with school, and when ALL my subjects are programming ones, I've got to concentrate. I'm on an indefinite hiatus, so, I'll be back when I can. ^__^
So, my best wishes to everyone! Take care, and may God Bless. I love you guys~

Thank God Almighty
My exam results were... satisfactory, I guess. B+ for Medical Electronis, Biophysics and Psychology (Teacher was really damn strict! Our skit was the best and I got a B+?!! Unfair!!). Maths was an A. Distinction for Molecular Genetics and Networking Fundamentals. Cumulative GPA is now 3.93. Damn. It went down, but it's salvagable. Still, I'm thankful. I was worrying through a whole day (I got back my grades on wed, but the GPA was only released on thu) after seeing all the B+. >_<; Stillll, now I'm happy enough! Time to relax!
I will have to complete something called Major Project in my third and final year, and I already know who I'm going to do it with. But I need one more person, and my partner and I are trying to recruit someone. Someone mlaes. they say a guy is better at instrumentation, mechanical sort of things, right? Granted, we're only supposed to be doing this in the semester after next, but we're trying to plan ahead. For one, we're planning to write a letter to our course manager to show him that we're really interested in doing an Instrumentation project.
We also want to get a good lecturer to guide us through this project; so we have to show intiative early. And we want our project to win awards: that'll look good on our records. Then we'll definitely get a place in university. (And a scholarship too, while at it. lol)
I don't know if I'm thinking too big, but I guess there's no harm in planning ahead. Next semester is going to be tough. Microcontroller Technology: C language. I'm thinking of reading up before the semester starts. I still have around 5 weeks of vacation... which I'm filling is lazing around.
I'm putting on weight. >_<; But, no worries, cuz the fasting month is coming up soon. ^__^ So, take care, everyone. I'm off to draft a letter.

Catching up
Wow, it's really been a long time. Exams are over, though I'm hoping beyond hope that my grades won't drop. Still, it's over and I'm not going to worry about it just yet.
Yesterday, my parents and I went to Johore, or JB. Since my country is an island, we crossed over the border to Malaysia, the neighbouring country. Because of the exchange rate, our currencies are different. It's cheaper for us to go shopping there. And it was fun, though I think I was comparing Singapore and JB all the while I was there. -_-;
Still, now that I have lots of time on my hands, my mum wants me to help her. She's a member of the RC, which kinda 'governs' our neighbourhood. Every neighbourhood has one, and the RC will organise activities so that we will get to know hte people living near us. Since we live in apartment flats, sometimes it's hard to converse or even meet your neighbours, even though we live on the same floor.
So, my mum and the people in the RC wants me to help lead the going-to-be-formed RC Youth group. I don't mind, and I'm really looking forward to meet other youths in my neighbourhood. ^__^It's going to be fun fun fun!
Now, I have to cathc up, visit sited I haven't visited. Take care, all. God Bless.

Oh, wow...
It's been a long time since I've updated... two weeks or so? Same old excuse: school's been taxing and I've been busy. I have a powerpoint presentation to finish by today, and look at what I'm doing. >_< I felt like having a break, so here I am. -_-;
The cosplay I went to was so cool! The cosplayers were just AWESOME. The thing was that the last person who used my camera didn't charge it, so I went to the cosplay with a near-dead battery, which meant: no flash. And the convention area was quite dim. So, sorry, no pictures. >_< But Singapore's representatives at the World Cosplay Summit in Japan was two people cosplaying Gundam SEED Destiny's Lacus Clyne and Lunamaria Hawke. In short, the whole day there was worth it. ^^
Yesterday I went to the stadium to watch the preview of the National Day Parade (NDP), celebrating the Nation's 41st birthday. It was SO FUN!!! ^___^ Everyone was wearing red, 60 thousand people cheering and singing, it was great. And when the fireworks lit up the sky... it was SO amazing! They were all so colourful, and we were all singing together... it was awesome. ^__^ And I bet the actual parade on the 9th of Aug will be much much more awesome. ^^ Can't wait.
An excerpt this year's NDP theme song: My Island Home
I will sing
A song of home
A land of peace
Where dreams are born everyday
My home
Wherever I may be
I believe
You will always be a part of me
And something really scary happened to me, and I'm starting to get really annoyed. Last Friday, in the bus, someone called my cellphone, and I answered it. He spoke my name, and I asked who he was, because the number wasn't shown on the caller id. He said, "Your admirer." I was like, 'what the hell?' and ended the call. That time I was already in a not too good mood because of the cramps (it was my second day). Then this morning, he called again. I was half asleep and managed to ask him his name. Then I hung up.
I don't know what to feel. I feel that if someone is sincere in starting a relationship with someone else, he/she should approach that person and ask for his/her number, and introduce him/herself. That way, you'd know whether he/she is really interested. But this guy... how did he get my number, anyway? I don't even know him, and I don't recognise the name he gave me. Damn, because of his phone call, my morning was ruined. >_< What should I do? I want to block his number, but I don't have it. Damn, this is frustrating. Especially since it's the first time something like this happened to me.
But I'm not too worried about his guy. Unless he appraoches me in person, I'll continue ignoring him. Right now, school is most important. My exams are in three weeks, so I doubt I'll get much time online until after that. I'll try to visit when I can, though. Take care, everyone, God Bless.

I'm tired...
Fri, Jul 7; 1727
Music: Dreaming on the Radio, Prince of Tennis
I'm tired. So so tired. I was struggling to wake up for schoool this morning. Projects are given out left and right. School is making my life busy again. I want to sleep, but I can't right now, because I still have a report to start and hand in on monday. I can't do it tomorrow, because I have to go to school, and on sunday I'll be going to the cosplay. So I've no choice but to actually write at least half today. But I can barely keep my eyes open! >_<;
*sigh* So, a short update. I'll leave you with this: a personality quiz I had to take for my psychology class.
I'd like to know, if anyone decides to take this test (here), which is the more direct link to the test I took above, what your results are. It's interesting, and I find it quite accurate. Although, when I took another test, I got INTJ instead. I feel that both are accurate. Lol.
All the best everyone, take care, God Bless.
