   Stealing
I'm stealing Grant's idea and posting my new chapter up today! MWUHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!!

review:

when we last left off, Nathan had just found out the extraordinary role he had in life.... The Gargonthian Guardian. and Safor mentioned TRAINING?!

*************************************************

Eleven: Mesodiah Returns
"Come on! Put some back into it! Cast, punch, cast, punch!"
Safor had been training the Gargontha Guardians for the past two weeks. Not easily, I might add. He had been using the same tactic over and over again. Cast a spell, punch the air, cast a spell, punch the air. Over and over again. Very, very boring.
"Hey, Safor? When can we stop doing this? Like, when can we start target practice?" asked Jordan.
"Not yet. The balance of magic and body takes much practice and time, ask Danny, he has been doing this training for six months," replied Safor,
"SIX MONTHS?!" cried Nathan. "In six months Saches will have taken over all the Sections!"
"And the empire will have taken over my Sections as well as yours!" added Craig.
Safor chuckled, "Oh no, your training will take much less time. When you get the weapons your magic is made in contact with the body making it take much less time for you to balance your magic and body," he said.
"Oh, okay, good. But still, this is getting kind of boring, how much longer do we have to do this?" asked Nathan.
"Only a week or so," replied Safor.
Nathan sighed; even though they weren't going to be doing this exercise for six months, it was getting kind on boring. Not to mention it was getting kind of awkward for part of his arm to light up whenever he cast a spell. It was kind of itchy, actually. So, really, it wasn't cast punch, cast, it was more so, punch, scratch, punch, scratch. Either way, it was getting very boring. So let’s skip ahead.
*
“Master!” called Dimitrius.
“WHAT IS IT NOW?” boomed Saches.
“I have found something! Look at this.”
“I AM NOT GOING TO BE HAPPY, IF WHATEVER YOU HAVE FOUND IS NOT VITALLY IMPORTANT!” he screeched.
“You won’t be angry then.”
“VERY WELL, I AM COMING DOWN NOW.”
Saches hopped off his thrown and, with the help from some dark magic, floated down to the ground.
“Master, you are going to be pleased. Remember the little Hellfire twerp we abducted?”
“Yes, how could I not have? He is so obnoxious.”
“Well, he escaped.”
Saches grinned with such darkness that a gleeful imp would have withered.
“Very good,” he said. “All according to plan.”
*
"Ugh… that was some brutal training," complained Craig.
"Speak for yourself! My arms are exhausted from holding up the staff so long!" said Jordan.
"Oh, yeah? Well, my symbol on my arm was so itchy I could barely keep myself from itching," said Nathan.
"Oh be quiet!" shouted Danny. "I know the training is tough, but if any of us should be complaining, it would be me. I've been doing this training for six months. Not to mention other exercises since I was four."
They sat there going on like this for at least an hour. They were all sitting in Danny's bedroom, all tired, but not hungry. Safor had fed them villages of food. Craig even asked for seconds. Well, he had been scrounging around for food all his life, this was like a buffet to him, and to most people who are even the least bit hungry.
"I'm so tired!" complained Craig again.
This time the answer was unanimous: "SO ARE WE!"
"Jeese, fine."
They sat in silence for a while, thinking about what this Saches guy looked like. Nathan thought he might look like a deformed old man. Craig was thinking he looked like a Saryidon. Sort of, at least. Jordan hadn't the faintest idea of how he might look, and Danny thought he was just going to be an old coot who lived all by himself who uses dark magic as his only friend. Hey, it never hurts to have a little imagination. Just then they heard a banging.
They stood up slowly. Nathan, Craig, Jordan, turned their amulets into weapons, Danny reached under his bed and pulled out his wooden staff.
"Who's there?" called Nathan.
There was no answer.
"WHO IS THERE!" demanded Jordan.
"It's Me, Mesodiah!" was the answer.
"Who's Mesodiah?" demanded Jordan
"Me!"
"Mesodiah? Is that you?" called Nathan.
"Well, duh."
"Well, come on! Make yourself visible."
There was a great flash of light. The light faded away after several seconds. In the light's place was a young boy with wavy blonde hair. It was Mesodiah alright. Only this time, his face had smudges of dirt on it, his brown robe was tattered and torn.
"Mesodiah! What happened?" asked Craig.
"Who are you? Do you have friends named I and You? Or maybe Us or We?" asked Jordan sarcastically.
Craig shot Jordan a look that said, shut up.
"Oh, that's right, you've never met Mesodiah have you? Well, this," Craig gestured to Mesodiah, "is Mesodiah. And this," he gestured to Jordan," is Jordan."
Mesodiah stuck out his hand, "Pleasure to meet you," he said.
Jordan shook his hand, "You… too, I guess."
Mesodiah turned to Nathan.
"There is something freaky going on, and I need you help."
*
Nathan, Craig, Jordan, Mesodiah, and Danny, were all sitting at Safor's kitchen table. Mesodiah was frantically telling them about what had happened.
"Well, first I was at the temple, examining the stone pedestal and all that for clues, when I was snatched up by…something. I was hurling through a type of tunnel, all around me was darkness, and Saryidons. Not a scrap of light was visible!"
"The realm of Saryidons," muttered Danny.
Mesodiah turned to Danny. "You know about it?"
Danny nodded slowly. "Yes, I do. I was once trapped their for two weeks when I was cursed by an old gypsy for breaking an antique teacup of hers. Safor eventually pulled me out. It was dreadful!"
"Wow. Anyway, after I was sucked through a portal thing through the Saryidon realm-"
" It's called a Dark Door," corrected Danny.
"Right, Dark Door. Anyway, after that I was shot out of it into the weirdest place you've ever seen, the walls were covered in some sort of inscription, and it was ice cold. Not to mention bare, not a piece of furniture except for a mat which and old guy was sitting on cross legged. So I asked him where I was and he said 'home'. I tried to explain it to him that I didn't live there, but he wouldn't take it. He tried to get me to give my place as ruler of the Worshipers of the Stone and help him and his apprentice take over the universe, but I said 'no way'. He must have been cracked.
"After I refused, he threw me in the dungeon. I pretended that I was scared and hurt first, but he locked me in. after he had left I tried to leave using my magic. No dice. Then I tried walking through the wall, nothing. I was mortal, nothing but a weak, pathetic, human mortal."
"A-hey!" said Jordan.
"Sorry, no offense. So then I was trapped there for a long time, then I felt my powers coming back, and I tried to walk through the walls. It worked. And then I came here, hoping to talk to Safor the master of magic, and ran into you guys."
They fell silent. No one had to speak, they all were thinking the same thing: SACHES. They were all thinking about what could have happened.
"Um, hello? Could someone please clue me in one what you guys are thinking about?" Safor had just walked into the kitchen, he had been seeking a midnight snack and had heard them talking.
"Ahhh! That's him!" yelped Mesodiah, and disappeared.
"MESODIAH! It's just Safor, it's not the man who captured you," called Danny.
"Really?" came an invisible reply.
"Really, I've lived with hem all my life."
"Oh, okay, sorry," said Mesodiah, "He looks like him though."
Mesodiah became visible and sat down at the table. Safor chuckled weakly.
“Eh… you must be mistaken! I can’t look like the same man who captured you, he…he…” he said nervously.
“Safor? You’re not telling us something, are you?” said Jordan.
“What are you talking about? He he… me? Keep secrets from you? Why on earth would I do that?”
Danny stared at Safor for a good five seconds before looking away.
“So, Saches captured you, did you get a good look at his apprentice?” asked Nathan.
"Yeah," answered Mesodiah, " he had black hair and hazel eyes like- oh. Sorry."
Nathan forced a smile, "It's okay. I already knew. I just wanted to make sure the guy who captured you was Saches."
"Oh, but still, I'm sorry to hear that your best friend turned over to the dark side in order to get supreme power over the universe and destroy you so he can get Keri back and thinks that you have her and his mind is totally twisted."
Nathan stared at him.
"I'm gonna' stop talking so I don't say anything else stupid."
"Um, Mesodiah?" said Danny, "how can Safor look like Saches? I mean, it's like they can look that similar."
Safor swallowed, wiped some sweat off his brow, and fiddled with his collar. No one noticed a bit.
"I don't know how they look alike! Don't ask me questions." Said Mesodiah.
"He doesn't like to answer questions." Explained Nathan.
"Oh," said Danny.
They sat for a while, thinking and wondering. Why, and how, had Saches taken Mesodiah hostage anyway? How had he made it so that Mesodiah was mortal? How did Mesodiah suddenly get his powers back? This was all so confusing. Nathan wasn't thinking about any of this, he had his own ideas. He couldn't just sit here and do nothing, his mind was made up.
"I made up my mind." Announced Nathan.
"About what?" asked everyone in union.
"About what to do about Saches."
"What?" asked Danny.
"I'm going to confront him."
