   newest chapter/ random video!!!
This is a new chapter of my book, ig you haven't been following along, here's a quick summary of what's been going on:

Jordan recieved a note from his Late Father, telling him he was the legendary weilder of a weapon, the Staff of Gargontha, and he should meet Safor in the Woods of Gantha, where he lived alone. theres more to the story then that, but thats all you need to know for THIS chapter.

*************************************************
SEVEN: SAFOR
Jordan walked down the stairs, whistling a merry tune. Before he reached the last flight of steps, he remembered to take out his "Walking stick" and pull up his hood.
The man at the desk saw him.
" 'ello! Goo' ta see ya this mornin'! It's alwa's nice to see an ol' man arou' these par's!" he said
"Actually," said Jordan, "A wizard in training!"
The man was not so convinced "A wizard in trainin'? Tha's the sillies' thing I've eve' heard! You 'ave to be a lo' younga' then tha'! The oldest one I eve' heard of is tha' man… what was 'is name? Safer? Saver? Sagor…?"
"Safor?" said Jordan helpfully, and hopefully.
The man grinned "Ah ya! Tha' was 'is name! Safor! And 'e wa' twenty-one. You’re at leas'…"
''Fourteen?" asked Jordan and pulled back his cape.
The man was stunned. He had been bamboozled by a child! The man's confusion quickly turned to fury. He had been just cheated by at least sixteen Kendrels! There was no way he let that just go without a punishment.
"You… tricke' me outta me money?!" he said outraged " 'en I wa' your age, Any'ne who tricke' someone outta' their money, got a good spankin'!"
Jordan was not fased "I am one of the chosen ones, " he said melodramatically "I have a right to do anything that could help me along my quest!"
The man snorted. " 'ou?! A chosen one?! That's the craziest thing I've eve'…"
The man stopped abruptly. Jordan had just held out his staff. The man was shocked for a minute. This kid? A chosen one? Ha! That's crazy talk!
"So what? Ya' go' a walkin stick 'at was ma'e to look like the staff of Gargontha. Big deal!"
"So you know about the amulets of Gargontha? Well, if you know about them, then you'd know that this one is genuine!" Said Jordan and produced a small zap of lighting that made the man's hair stand up and get fringed.
Now, you may have noticed by now, that the man behind the counter is a very, very stubborn man.
"So what? You can produce a spar' of lightnin', big deal. Any goo' wizard in trainin' can do that!"
Jordan was getting annoyed. "Sir you have to understand! I am the chosen one of the staff and I am needed in a vitally important place soon. You have to understand! This is the real staff of Gargontha! And if you don't believe me, then I'll have to show you!"
Jordan turned the staff back into an amulet. Now the man was convinced. But still! A fourteen year old boy who is the chosen one of the staff of Gargontha? That's absurd, crazy, nothing but a pile of Canthara droppings!
"Well then Mr….?"
"Jordan."
"Well then, Jordan, you'll be in for some rough times. I 'ear tha' the Saryidons go afte' the chosen ones. Nice knowin' ya."
"Actually, I need help finding someone. His name is Safor. You claim to already have met him. He supposedly lives in the forest of Gantha. Do you know where that is? Mr…?"
"My name is Frank. And the forest of Gantha? I've 'eard of that place. Full o' pixies an' an ol' hermit…"
"An old hermit?" asked Jordan excitedly "Did you think for a minute that the old hermit could be Safor?"
Frank stroked one of his chins. "Now there's an idea. Bu' tha' ol' hermit coul' be anyone! Now tha' I think abou' it, Safor could be anyone!"
Jordan stood his ground. "Yeah, but my Father said that he knew him, and my father knows his people.and my father would never lie to me, I trust him."
Frank was still angry. “You… tricked… me… out… of… my… kendrel!” he said slowly so he wouldn’t miss a single letter in his words.
Jordan was not intimidated, “Sir, you have to understand, It was necessesary for me to lie to you. Who knows how much kendrel I’ll need in the future of fighting the Saryidons? What if I need to buy medicine from an unsuspecting merchant?”
Frank was thoughtful. “Alrigh’ bu’if the universe is destroy’ You owe me sixtee; kendrels.”
Jordan blinked, surprised by the man’s own stupidity. If the universe was dstroyed, then they would both be dead! But then, after realizing the great deal he was being offered, quickly shot out his hand for a shake. “Deal.”
Frank grinned slyly to himself. Does he know how to make a deal or what? He shook Jordan's hand.
“Now then,” said Jordan, “Where did you say the forest of Gantha was again?”
*
It was dusk when Jordan reached the neck of the woods. Frank may have been stupid, but he knew the town like the back of his hand. Great. So now he was there. Only a few steps and he would be in the forest. The big, dark, scary forest. Oh boy.
Jordan swallowed. This was not going to be fun. He walked forward. In a matter of seconds, he seemed to be surrounded by tall, looming trees. They were watching him, Jordan knew. He had heard legends of this forest for a long time. About the trees having eyes, being able to see everything that you did. Creepy. Just creepy.
After walking for a couple of minutes, Jordan decided to talk to himself.
“Who could the sword and shield bearer be?” he asked himself.
He thought for a minute. “Maybe they’re adults, maybe the fact that I have a weapon and be a kid was a mistake?”
“Maybe, but then why can I use it? Only the true master can use it, remember?”
“Maybe I was supposed to be older when I got it?”
“That’s a possibility.”
Jordan was getting into a very serious descusion with himself when he realized how tired he was. Not to mention the fact that he was actually having a conversation in his head was a sign of madness.
He walked around for a little while longer, when he saw a little nook in the base of a trunk of a tree, he couldn’t resist to lie down and rest.
*
"Hey there youngin'! What's the big idea? Sleeping in an old hermits bed! Why I never…!" Jordan woke with a start. An old man was prodding him with the handle of a scithe.
"Gah!" Jordsn shouted in alarm.
The old man looked puzzled. "What's the matter?" he asked.
"Your… scythe! You weren't going to…?!"
"Oh this old thing? I've had it for years! I use it as a walking stick now. Don’t worry, you won’t end up like me." The man showed Jordan his left hand, it had only three fingers.
Jordan wished he hadn't showed him that. Now he felt tired, hungry, scared, and nauseous.
"Look, sir, I'm looking for someone who is a master of scorcery. Perhaps you've heard of him?"
The old man's eyes flashed when he said the words 'Master of scorcery'.
"Master of scorcery you say? Safor! You seek the guidance of Safor!"
Jordan was thrilled.
"Great! So, you know where he lives?"
The old man nodded. "Well sure I do! Don't ya' think I know everything that goes on in this forest after living here for Twenty-five years?"
"Well, yeah but I thought maybe that you didn't know him… or that if you did, I should ask you were he lives."
"Well, you didn't ask me where he lives. You asked me if I knew where he lives."
"Well, where does he live?" asked Jordan annoyed.
"Here, I'll show ya'," said the hermit.
Jordan followed the man through a lot of bogs, twisted trails, and along the edges of a river. They walked and walked and walked, and eventually they came to a wooden hut with a small chimney with smoke billowing out of it.
Jordan noticed that the house was behind the tree in which he had slept under. He hadn't noticed the house for it had been too dark.
"Um… Mr. Hermit? Why did you take me all the way across the forest… when Safor's house was… fifteen feet behind me?!"
The man shrugged. "You looked like you needed some exercize."
Jordan was angry for a minute, but then he realized there was no point in arguing about something that he couldn't change. He walked up to the door and knocked. There was no answer. He knocked again. Still no answer.
He turned to the old man. "Safor's not here."
The old man grinned. "Yes he is."
"No he's not."
"Yes he is. I'm here, aren't I?"
"Yeah but…"
"Well if I'm here, then Safor's here. I'm him."
