the ship
hey quick question should the aurura be able to land on planets

originally the ship was incable of this because of the wing design that would have broken on any entrance to an atmosphere but when i made the ship bigger the wings were enhanced and the lower wing set elimated...um oh just so u know it had a hex wing design like the starwars ARC-170 except that my s foils didnt move when i rebuilt it the lower sfoil was taken out and those weapons placed into the hull of the wings

guess what today is my half birthday. meaning i am 19 1/2 im so old...anyway i didnt post anything yesterday and probaly wont post more today because my parents are being really dumb so im kinda mad at them. because they keep kicking me off MY computer. espically right after i start talkin with my friends through im. the computer is like my only access to the outside world and i dont like being cutoff...so grrr stupid parents

NEW THEME
this is battletech
starships are very rare because the society that uses these battlemechs has degraded to the point where necceasary matientance could no longer be performed.
this happened because at one point there was a single gov controlling the entire innersphere (which was all of human controlled space) the gov was hereditary the entire line was killed in a coup attempt. after the coup the national army spent nearly 20 years fighting to recapture the gov. the traditional goverments who were under the single national each decided they had the proper claim to the thrown that was now vacant. what they did decide was that the leader of the army that just faught the civil war should step down. he didnt like this took the majority of his army and left human space. as soon as the army was gone the now 5 national goverments started wars to see who would reunite all humanity under one banner. these wars were brutal at first and much of the advance tech was lost during the first and second wars. and these wars took place over a period of hundreds of years.near the end of the fourth war humanity started to recover some of the lost tech. it was at this time that the descendants of the army returned to the innersphere in a attempt to restore what was taken from them.
the mechs are the clan nova cat which is a 70ton heavy mech
the uziel which is an innersphere 50 ton medium mech
and the moving pic is the marauder a 75 ton heavy mech from the innershpere
weight classes
20-35tons lights
40-55tons medium
50-75tons heavy
80-100tons assault
i prefer heavy mechs because smaller not enough firepower
assault machines have plenty of firepower but r too slow

Aurura update
hey everyone i want to thank everyone who is going to try to draw the coverpage. unless someone asks for more time i think the due date should be the first of july that should be enough time i think...if not let me know there is no reason y i cant extend it.

some of u may remember i talked about the size calculations im a little embarresed in the fact that this ship started out at about 120meters and 400,000 tons. now its 600m long, 460 m wide (wingspan), 140m tall because of this im going to up its weight to 4million tons. which is like going from a cruiser to a battleship or dreadnaught.

because of this dramitic increase in size im going to have to increase the crew size as well. the crew is currently set at 50 with about 25% from halo, 15%starwars and 60% from startrek
now i didnt make it this way because i like startrek more i made it this way because its easier to find biographical information. the ship is also 60%male 40% female again this isnt me being sexist there simply r more male charachters in sci fi. with the size increase the ship is going to have at least 100crew members
because of this i want to offer slots to all myo friends u dont have to accept if u dont want. what would happen if u did i would like a pic of u just a normal head shot. if there is enough interest we could write a fanfic story. with me giving out some assignments but basically u wouldnt have to do anything except pick what u would want to do aboard ship.

the main departments are
Command-this includes the captain me and is the department in charge of helm so the piloting of the aurura and its small craft

Operations this department is whats responsible making sure everything functions smoothly and has enough power to do its job

engineering in charge of making sure nothing breaks and to fix it when it does

tactical responsible for both ships weapons and marines basically blowing stuff up

science responsible for all sensor equimpent and scanners making sure whats out there

medical keeping the crew nice and healthy and making patches when we get blown up

The AURORA BOREALIS
before i post my pictures on here i want to say thank u to all the people who r willing to help me out and try to draw this. i imagine it will be very difficult and i am pleased.
anyone who wants to try to draw this is welcome if u want to draw more then one image that is allowed after i have recieved all the entries i will make a poll to decide which one to use.

oh and i hope u dont make fun of me because the model of the ship was built with legos. i cant draw so this is the only consructive design method i have

above are several angles of the ship if u need more let me know and i can take some more pics
below are some examples of ships in the past i want u to draw my ship and use the images below as a blue print of what it looks like. i want u all to be creative and come up with your own ideas

the final image could be a cartoon like the two above the other ship image is to show the original design in context with its cartoon version. the nothern lights is what my ship means so i included a pic of that as a possible background. if u need any help let me know

anyone who can draw or use computers to draw things i need your help...i cant draw at all
i want someone to draw the coverdesign of the aurura i am going to post pics of it and possible backgrounds that u could use
once i get them back i am going to post them on here and have a poll to see which is the best
