   A Simple Source
I had some spare time and just thought that I would update. My friends and I were talking the other day and we started this whole entire discussion on how other people influence our actions, how one simple source can turn your world around without you even realixing it. One of my friends said that all the shallow people who are obsessed with their appearance and make others feel bad influence the other girls to feel ugly. I both agree and disagree with this statement. While some people with a low self esteem may fall victim to that, there are those who keep a stiff upper lip about it. I am one of those people. Thankfully, simple things don't usually get to me, but back to the point. After this discussion, I started to think, what if we could show those girls what happens to the people they make fun of.
Take for instance, the recent school shootings. Those people showed no unstable mental health, or illness, but they somehow snapped. The supposed causes: trouble at home, history of abuse or neglect, and of course, the day to day ridicule from the other students. It makes you wonder, if one person stood up for them in one simple way, could this have been prevented? I do not mean to sound like the statistical type, but studies do show that children who endure this kind of torment do have more emotional problems then those who live without the stress of other students' "jokes". Hopefully, this will not happen again, situations like Columbine are a constant and horrific reminder of what happens when the "well of human kindness" runs dry.
