Its been two months, where have you been, what the hell are you doing?
Its true, I don't think I've updated a new piece of art in two months. So what have I been doing you ask? S A K U R A C O N! ! !

For those who don't know Sakura Con is the 8th largest anime convention in the world and Seattle's one and only Anime convention. Being that this convention is my only local outlet into the world of Anime it means a lot to me every year. This year I am going for the gold. As you all might know I am teaching the Photoshop and Website Seminars at the convention, but what you don't know is that I have entered the Mascot Design contest and the AMV contest! On top of that I am selling prints in the Art Show!

WOW! Any way the deadline for submissions for all the Sakura Con Contests is Feb 28th. I just submitted my 3rd Mascot entry 15 minutes ago! It was such a taxing part for me to do. I really want to do well in the competition and the competition is extremely hard to win so I thought why not triple my chances and make three mascots? Each one took over 20 hours to complete and each is unique in its own way but also supports the conventions Spring theme and unique genres of anime. Talk about really expanding your horizons.

On top of all that my friend and I entered the AMV contest last year and won our catagory. This year he didn't want to enter and he was the brains behind the last one but because of our success last year I made my own AMV this year. Its include Haurhi Suzumiya and the songs are from the Across the Universe Soundtrack. It isn't amazing but I hope its good enough for competition this year.

Finally I've been doing school work and launching a new version of my website Space-Cowboy.tv I am also taking 19 credits this quarter which is my second to last quarter before I graduate college with a degree in graphic design and new media!

You know what . . . I think I'm just going to pass out. Lol, Any way for those of you wondering where I've been I hope this explains it. I still have a long way to go before the convention too. I need to finish my classes in school. Continue my job. Prepare old work for sale. Make new work for sale. And prepare my teaching materials for the Seminar.

Sakura Con is going to be a very big deal for me this year, its fun and challenging but because I am teaching this year its also professional experience for me. Wish me luck! I've got a hockey game tonight then I'm going to pass out and hopefully wake up in time for work tomorrow.

Night
