I'm in LA! On the way to Australia... my flight is tomorrow night, I'm a little nervous (it's my first solo flight - and international!), but I'm excited!
Here are some LA photos:
There were pelicans wandering around on the pier, mingling with the people. They were close enough to pet, but I bet they bite.
My mom and I went to the point, and saw some whale-watchers. They kept track of how many whales they saw, and other things... like a shark attack on a sealion (!)
Here's the point, close to where we met the whale-watchers.
The city itself isn't pretty, but there are indeed some pretty areas in/near LA.
Woo! Gotta get ready for my flight tomorrow! It's a behemoth of a flight, at around 14 to 15 hours. Yikes! I'll leave at 11:45 at night, fly for a while, and then land in Sydney, at about 9:15 local time. Exciting! Feels like an adventure is unfolding before me~!
