I feel like its been forever since I updated here but in reality its only been a few days. I guess there's no point in it if I don't have anything to say, which I don't. I just feel like I can't leave this site here to die. It would be an unfitting death to a pretty cool place on the web, right? (smile)

Thanks for coming.

BULLSH!T

It has to be the best show on television right now. Seriously. OK, yeah, I know all about The Shield. Chiklis is the man. But still... Penn & Teller are awesome. The show is informative and entertaining and funny as hell. I love it and if you don't then you are dead to me.

HITCHHIKERS

Well, what can I say about it. It was good and I enjoyed it. The movie wasn't nearly long enough and I'm desperately awaiting the sequal. (I really really hope they make one.) The casting was fairly good. I really liked Bill Nighy in the role of my favorite character, the fjord designing Magrathean, Slartibartfast. He was excellent in Underworld and I knew he'd be great in this. The reappearance of the original Marvin on the Vogon planet was great. The modern Marvin is infinitely cuter though. I ended up eating way too much popcorn (which was excellent by the way) and I to practically be rolled out of the theater. Hot buttery popcorn and plain m&m's is the ambrosia salad.

I finally got Justin's computer set up. I decided to put it in the kitchen because thats where he is most of the time anyway. It feels really good to use a stand alone PC every once in a while. The touch of the keyboard and the feel of the mouse in your hand is just awesome when you use a laptop most of the time. Anyway, I finally got around to updating everything and now his Compaq P.O.S. is running at tip-top shape. I'm using it as I type.

Awesome news:My sweet husband was kind and wonderful and awesome enough to buy me a new phone. Siemens CF62. I hope its as cool looking in person as it is on the internet. I'm so spoiled and Justin gets my hand me downs.

HITCHHIKING ACROSS THE GALAXY

Justin and I are going to see Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy at 7:00 tonight. I will post a review when we get back. Hope the popcorn is good tonight.

GLEEFUL SHOPPING

Yeah, okay, so it wasn't gleeful but I did go and use my gift card at Target. I just love the stuff at Target. I ended up buying a new pair of pants (black) and a new tank (black). The shirt is great but I think the pants are a little big. I might just keep them though just to save me the trouble of actually taking them back. Afterall, I already tore the tags off. (Stupid me)

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ME

In case you weren't aware today is Mother's Day so you should at least call your mother and tell her how much you love her.

I spent the day at my mom's house and we had a great time. I got her a digital camera and a photo printer for the big day and she was blown away by it. It was the last thing she expected, to say the least. I felt really good about getting her what she wanted too. Of course, I couldn't have done it without my Dad because it was his original idea and he actually gave me the money but I'm the one that drove all the way across town to pick it up (see previous post).

I also got to spend some quality time with my older brother and that was pretty cool. He invited me to go with him to the mall so he could buy himself some new shoes and we toked up on the way and that was sweet. I don't get to see enough of him.

My sister-in-law came over around three and did her best to not piss anybody off. (Don't get me wrong, she's still my sister-in-law and I still love her but, god dammit, she just knows the right buttons to push to infuriate someone.)

All in all it was an excellent day and I made my mom cry with her gift and card and she made me cry with her gift and card and now I'm at home with my sweet hubby and my puppy dogs. Its the perfect Sunday.

MOTHER'S DAY

I had to run out to American TV last night to pick up my mom's Mother's Day present and after we spent twenty minutes on the interstate to get across town and got into the store and found what I wanted and went to pay for it I realized that Justin hadn't brought his wallet and I had forgotten to grab it off of the bookshelf. Therefore I couldn't write a check to pay for the gift and therefore I didn't have enough cash to pay for it. So we had to leave the store and get back on the interstate and drive all the way back home to pick up the wallet and then we had to get back on the interstate again and drive ALL the way back out there to pay for the gift.

Luckily I had filled the gas tank prior to leaving and I had a full tank. ($47.00 fu**ing dollars worth of a full tank). Of course, it didn't help that Justin was being a complete bastard the whole time and he couldn't help but try to pick a fight with me on the way out there.

Why is it that guys NEVER know what to say to make you feel better but they know EXACTLY what to say to piss you off? Maybe its just my husband that has that talent.

So, I got the presents for my sweet mother and then I stopped at the grocery store to pick up some wrapping paper and a bow and some ribbon to make it pretty. I ended up spending $20 on gift wrap and Justin ended up spending just about the same on food. Jesus Christ, it never ends.

So, my mom will have a happy mother's day because I got her exactly what she wanted and Justin will have a full stomach because he stocked up on Chef Boyardee Ravioli. I guess everyone wins in the end.

BTW

As I'm sure you've noticed, (or not) I did indeed change the color scheme. Change is good, no?

ATTACK OF THE KILLER CHAINSAW

It's really strange when you haven't driven for a while and then you get behind the wheel. It almost feels like everything was lost in that time that you weren't driving.

Pete went for his first ride the other day. He did pretty good. He didn't get under my feet, he didn't puke on the seat and he didn't poo or whiz on the floor. Basically he just shook and trembled on the backseat. Chainsaw was not pleased that Pete got to ride in "her" truck, let me tell you. She was extremely upset.

As if you couldn't tell, my dogs are a part of the family. They each have their own disposition and personality and each have their own very real needs. Chainsaw needs to go for walks and rides on a daily basis and every once in a while she needs to kill something. Lola requires food at least every twenty minutes and if you really want to make her happy, it should be twinkies. Pig is the Princess of the family and that means that she requires Binkies and butt scratchins on a fairly regular basis. And then there's Pete. He's the "man" of the doggy clan and all he needs is a bone to chew on and a butt to sniff (preferably Chainsaw's. I think they like each other). Thankfully they all get along pretty well and no blood has been shed in several days.

VROOM VROOM

I got my truck back Monday night. Yee Haw! It still needs quite a bit of work, i.e. the engine needs to be overhauled and I need to get the differentials looks at but other than that, its running like a dream and I can go places now! Justin and I drove down to the movie store last night and rented Return to Castle Wolfenstein for the X-Box. Its a pretty cool game but its a pain in the arse to play it in splitscreen co-op mode on a wide screen television. I do love the head shots though. BOOM SPLAT!

I am also now a "pro" at Flickr.com. If you'd care to check out my photography (its really lousy, let me just warn you.) you can do so by following this link. The Prettiest Devil

I don't have any art pictures up there yet, its mostly family stuff but you can check it out anyway.
