Wheeee~!
(This was originally written yesterday, the 17th)
So, today, three of my friends and I went to San Fransisco Japancenter (with two moms accompanying us, of course ^^; ) because we're complete Japanophiles :D (spelling?) My favorite place was Kinokuniya Bookstore, I love getting manga there, even though I can't go that often. So this time, I bought:
*Webster's New World Japanese Dictionary
*Death Note 7 (Japanese) (Even if I can't read it >w< )
*Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children: Prologue (My friend and I screamed "KADAJ OMG!!!" )
I was sad they didn't have any Japanese Trigun... apparently #13's not out yet. I was really looking forwards to it! Waah~!...
And yeah, with the little 'stats' thing, I know it says I'm reading Death Note and Advent Children, but really I'm just admiring the art. (not bilingual! ) With the Advent Children book, my friend and I both freaked out and grabbed a copy at the same time. So now, we have identical books. We wanted to buy the bigger book, but it was $33. T_T And besides, she spent like.... $71 at that place! I think she got... two volumes of God Child, an UVERWorld CD for herself, another CD for another friend with us (they were $15 each! :o ) and some Japanese manga or something... and my other friends bought a bunch of manga too, but not as much. And we had crepes for lunch.... I really don't know how to spell it.... mine was egg salad. It tasted good... and I had soda. And theeeennn.... uhh, what did we dooooo..., oh yeah, we went window shopping because we were broke XD And there was a SWORD STORE!!! Except they all costed like... hundreds of dollars. And you had to be over 18 to buy one. And we're all 13 and 14. lol~
We also went to this music store. At first, we were just walking by, but then I saw a sign on the window that said "L'arc~en~ciel" and I pointed it out to my friend because she likes that band. And then I looked next to that sign and there was another one that said Gackt... and we got pretty excited.... and then there was another one next to it that said.... Dir en grey. At that point, the two of us freaked out and ran into the store with our other friends trailing behind going "What???"
I was still broke and didn't buy anything. But we're going back next time to buy MUSIC!1!!!1one!one!!! *excitement*
And there were crazy people on the MUNI (it's a bit like a subway/bus system). A bit after we got on, this guy (in a green coat, I remember very clearly,) ran up to the front of the bus saying to the driver, "Hey, there's some guy back there who looks like he's gonna hit me! He's gonna hit me!" and he was pretty dramatic... and then the bus driver told him to bring the guy up to the front of the bus, so he went back there and it looked like he was talking to someone, but after a while the driver started asking other people if someone was actually back there (which is when we started freaking out) and the guy didn't say anything, so then we pulled over and the driver said one of them had to come up there or she'd call the police (at this point several people got off the bus)... so then this other guy in a red jacket starts walking towards the front of the bus, looking kind of drunk and I was sitting in the isle seat, so my friend and I were pretty much clinging to each other. But nothing else happened... thankfully.
And on the way back, someone else was singing Depeche Mode's song "People are People." He was actually a pretty good singer...

Next Day (today, the 18th)
Yaaaaaayyy!! I'm so happy I got into the Japanese class I was trying for^^ It's at a community college 0_0 So in a way I skipped high school for the summer >w< I wanted to get into the morning class but it was full, so I'm in the afternoon class instead (noon-3:30) Unfortunately, since it's in the middle of the day, my family can't go anywhere with me until the weekend (we like to take day trips). Sooo.... the textbook we're using is called Nakama 1. It cost $50 TT_TT But it's worth it. The first 15 minutes of every class is basically immersion. It was so funny, when we first came into the class the instructor was only speaking Japanese, and we all thought we were in the wrong class! But we caught on pretty fast^^ The instructor Sensei would hold up a picture of a person and say "Kono hito no namae wa nan desu ka?" (what is this person's name?) (not sure if I wrote it right... ^^; ) and we'd say whoever it was, like "Charlie Chaplin desu" It was fun^^
Ja, mata~! (See ya!)
Oh yes, and I forgot to post that I graduated Middle School last week ^^ Afterwards we had a graduation party until 10 pm (graduation ended at 5:30) I'm sad because most of my friends are going to a different high school than I am...
