Eragon: Why finding the Fountain of Youth is Bad.

First, let me set the scene. A group of fantasy and sci-fi loving individuals, myself included, walking into the theatre to experience a children's bestseller on screen.

And afterwards, I walked out of theatre, wondering: how that book make the bestseller list, and for weeks at a time? My only guess is that the main audience was young children and new to the genre of fantasy, looking for a fix that seemingly was appropriate to their age. A child cannot exactly pick up, say, Game of Thrones, and enjoy it. Way too much racy content.

The movie itself was awful, and in any case, the entire mess started with Chrisopher Paolini. The poor fool. Humiliated by his book in front of readers, and now, in front of movie critics. The world knows now that he was nothing more than a boy of fifteen. Right? He was fifteen when he wrote it. Eternally, Paolini found the Fountain of Youth, and now, is encased forever as a fifteen-year old genius who produced an excellent fantasy novel(s).

Well, rotten excuse. Apparently I was not the only one avidly watching The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Obviously, it was as important to another fellow. And it shows up blatantly in his appalling film. Yes, I understand it is wrong to blame him entirely for the disaster of the movie, but quite frankly, the boy started the mess. Personally, that is an outright sign of decadence, ripping content from literary classics. But remember, he is a fifteen-year old genius. Encased in his golden book.

To understand why this film was so bad, first one must realize that the book was written by a kid. It was bound to be a failure from the start. Simply, he did not have enough experience. It seems as though he took his first attempt at writing a fantasy novel, and threw it at editors (who, mind you, knew him and his parents...), and then tried to clean the book up as best they could before unleashing it to the world. And it shows glaringly. The script and acting are as stinky and foul as sour milk.

To be honest, the only reason I gave the film two stars was because I laughed so hard through it. Yes, you heard me. I laughed. And harder than I have for any other fantasy movie which proved to have a lack of seriousness involved because of the cringe-worthy script. Dragonheart, or many of Sci-Fi channel's original movies, such as a take on famed Ursula Le Guin's books. Eragon was far worse.

So as to leave a final message concerning this film. If you are a fan of Lord of the Rings and/or Star Wars, then kindly leave this film. Trust me, it is not for you. Watching it will only make you want to write angry letters to the author. And for less sophisticated individuals, punch him.

Exausted.
I'm so silent. Listening to Oh Mio Babinno Caro makes me feel better.

And Winter Break sounds so good right now. Just need to sit next to someone and listen to them play piano. I'm easily wooed by music.

Gaming status: finished.
Has anyone here played through Dirge of Cerberus? Welll, I just completed the game and apart from the extremely stunning graphics, I was terribly dissapoined with the game. Fanbase=ruined characters. Need I say more?

So this isn't in English, but nonetheless, I wrote it.
Cambio

Amen to this.

So are there any people out there who are severely angered with the recent, past, and ongoing destruction of perfectly good quality anime being distorted by television companies? I am, otherwise I see no point in allowing this block of text to come into existence. So today I'm watching Samurai 7, which is very good by the way, and all the mainstream stuff breaks in.

It angers me to see such a huge and horrible Naruto fanbase. Seriously, couldn't you all be happy without claiming to have Sasuke's baby? Please? Pretty please? Do I have to beg? I do not wish to hear fangirl rants and trust me, I hear them all too much. Well, enough at least to bring annoyance.

I guess I'll make this a short post, but first this: why do those overenthusiastic people have to give anime-lovers a bad name? Those people who trip over each other at the supermarket because someone has their hair cut like an anime characters? Please, do me a favor and widen your horizon, which brings me to the picture. RealFuckingAnime is apparently a place where the real anime lovers go. What is a "real anime lover"? Don't we all have our own definitions? Such as the egocentric, normal answer: me. Hats off to this site because, thank god (or the printer god, who's lately defying me) there is a group, if small, of people who recognize the slow and painful destruction of older animes (movies such as Grave of the Fireflies and Akira) for the newer, trashier, plotless (or dragged out too long to pose as a decent plot) kind of stories. So, you guys rock!!

And super crazy people who get thrown out of supermarkets? Please calm down. :D

Guess that post was longer than I expected. Hmph.

   Just poke the anti-blogger.
How's everyone? Well? Crappy? Do you feel like you climbed out of bed and stepped on a musical instrument or a curling iron? Sorry, if that is the case. So just to put this up in the air: I feel like writing here. Proving people wrong that yes, I am perfectly capable and willing to write a meaningful (however debatable) and willing rant.
Hey. How've ya been? Let's take a minute and discuss something that's been bothering me for quite some time. People who simply can't type, meaning those who purposely use incorrect grammar, such as replacing the words 'you' with 'u'. It kills me people. When I see 'ur great' written on a webpage, it totally spikes my bloodpressure and shatters something deep inside of me. I figure it isn't my soul, but there's some unknown feeling (*gasp* she has them?) which withers and dies like a little shriveled object (great word choice, I know) every single stinking time someone decides to write like that.
Use common sense people! I understand that it gets so annoying to type out a three or four letter word! Oh, just think of the tears shed and sweet wiped exaustingely when you move your fingers to type a three letter word instead of a four!
Let me tell you, pianists move fingers a lot more than that. So since the internet doesn't have the ability to speak for a person, I'll get to known someone online by reading them through their writing style. It may sound stupid, but usually I'd assume the dreaded out-right horrible ignorance at usage of poor, if not 100% atrocious grammar.

And for those of you who type correctly, I still love you all! ^_~

Since I'm usually a person of few words, I'll put up a video instead. Fan collecting, if you will. So...a different band each time.
