I’m supposed to be doing a history project right now. Just thought I’d record that in history. How terribly paradoxical; you are making history right now.

This isn’t really a picture story, but I was surfing through my Photobucket Album, and these just stuck out to me tonight (and some are so good the always stick out).
This may be a long parade of pictures, so brace yourselves and hold on. Hopefully I’ll see you down at the end. Enjoy your ride.
Of all the things you do, don’t ever forget yourself. Not ever.
Which face should I put on today? And you?
Go ahead and wonder what happened here.
So simple a theme, yet you could create an entire world for this.
Simply a beautiful shot. He has such an expressive face.

I’m sorry, that sweater looks warm. Strange things are blatant to me.
In the middle of a wasteland. Go ahead, make the parallel. I won’t do it for you.
“I never liked you looking at me either.”
How does he get that handsome elegance?
Dude. (Yeah, that’s what you are.) You aren’t pretty, but you sure are damn talented. And for that I respect you.
Please exit the ride now. Thank you. Hope you were entertained. Hope you didn’t get any spit in your face from screaming riders. Have a nice (insert time of day; hey, I can’t accommodate everyone without doing this).

I was going through a gallery of pictures and was astounded: Nightwish, a Finnish opera metal band of sorts, spends so much time and effort on their music. It’s a rare act that should be commemorated.
So without further ado, te presente:
See the lazy and talented musician? They need rest too!
And the major players:
I’ve never seen him before, but since he’s devoting time to conduct an orchestra for Nightwish, he’s pretty cool. Oh yeah, and he has a baton in his hand. That’s a major plus.
All hail the players of random instruments (although I know what it is and put it here because I know a certain someone will enjoy it).
And the final product, aerial style. Yeah, that’s hardcore 80 track usage. Rock it.
And I’ve included this because the first thing that came to my head when I saw it was:
Holy shit, I thought I was the only one who did that!
That you for enjoying my picture story. The end.

Nothing good happening except Cleveland Film Festival, and I can’t wait to go.
1.What are you listening to right now?
2.If the song has lyrics, does it reflect your life’s situation as of now?
3.Have you watched any good movies lately?

Nothing really happened, so here’s my weekend for your enjoyment:
On Saturday, I watched the movie, C'era una Volta il West. On Sunday: A concert played by our orchestra, featuring the string quartet La Catrina and various other solos, ensembles, and one string quartet. A fundraiser for the tour of Austria in July.
Two Random Questions:
How do you dress? That is, do you follow a certain stereotype, such as punk or prep?
What are your three favorite movies?

For all of the confused people, here is some Lolita stuff:
There are much better examples than that, but you’ll have to make do.
And for everyone having a bad day, cheer up. I think I’ll try that too.
My weekend was horribly busy. On Friday I had a nine hour practice, from 2:00 PM until 11:00. Then Saturday I had a string quartet event. After that, which ended at around 1:00, I had to baby-sit from 5:00 PM until 12:00 AM. Today, I was gone until 2:00 PM because of my usual unfortunate Sunday routine, and then I went out for lunch. Whew.
I think I’m going to post pictures more often. It makes my posts more colorful.

So how has everyone been? I’m busy composing for CIM, and just got a new book: Einstein's Violin: A Conductor's Notes on Music, Physics, and Social Change. It’s really interesting to read, and I’m only through about thirty or so pages.
Hmmm, welcome to the many days of standing in front of a mirror brandishing a pencil and memorizing complicated patterns.
And if anyone has anything random to say, then go ahead.
You don't have to read this, and I doubt anyone'll laugh, but I found it funny. I think you have to play in a string quartet to laugh at these.
Once there was a violinist who got a gig to play a recital at a mental institution. He played the recital brilliantly, and backstage after the concert, he got a visit from one of the institutionalized patients.
"Oh, the concert you played was just lovely. The Paganini caprice was stunning, the counterpoint in the Bach came out so clearly, and the phrasing in your Debussy was just exquisite!", said the patient.
"Why, thank you," said the musician (thinking this person seemed pretty normal for a institutionalized person). "Are you by chance a musician?"
"Oh yes, I was concertmaster of an orchestra for many years, I've played all of the major concertos: Tchaikowsky, Brahms, Mozart, all the major ones." said the patient.
"Wow, that's impressive," said the violinist. "Did you do recitals as well?"
"Oh yes, I've done all the major sonatas, Bach, Kreisler, Vieuxtemps, all of the major ones," said the patient.
"Wow! Did you ever do chamber music?" asked the violinist.
"Oh yes. Duets, trios, quintets, sextets, all the major repertoire," said the patient.
Puzzled, the violinist asked "Did you ever play string quartets?"
All of the suddenly the patient went berserk and shouted "String quartets!... String quartets!... String quartets!... "
Definition of a String quartet: a good violinist, a bad violinist, an ex-violinist, and someone who hates violinists, all getting together to complain about composers.
