Heyyo. Just need to get the horrible truth off my chest, first:

SCHOOL STARTS ON TUESDAY FOR ME. DAMN THE UNFORTUNATE WHEEL OF LIFE.

What do you all think of this? It struck a chord in me.

Sorry, no new opera of the week [you know you're dissapointed]. I listened to Faust and Die Lusige Witwe.

But...I did get this new one called Wozzeck, by Berg [remember Lulu? Same composer.], and I'm sort-of looking forward to listening to it. His operas are guaranteed to be really weird.

All that being said, shoutout to the world. I just hope you're listening.

Ta-ta, folkies.

I watched the movie Life is Beautiful again for the millionth time. I really love that movie. Roberto Benigni is so brilliantly funny.

Let's see, I'm starting this book called Mother of Pearl; it's a novel set in the South in the twentieth century [not later therein] and I'm hoping it'll be good. I'll let you guys know what I think of it when I'm done reading.

Last night I went to see the play Othello. It was really good; there is just something about Shakepeare that is better when you see it on stage. Then, when reading the play by yourself, it comes to life.

Although with some plays, the characters are already so colorful it doesn't matter [i.e. Cyrano].

And I listened to this opera called Lulu. It's really weird; has a modern theme. The main character, Lulu, is basically symbolic of women's sexuality. She goes throughout, by first with her husband, and then a painter, then a doctor, and then his son. At the end, both die to Jack the Ripper who was one of Lulu's clients (she is forced into prostitution after killing her doctor husband with a revolver and marrying his son). It was a "different" opera. Alright, but different. One of the best prologues, I think.

Ta ta, todos, and have a good day.

Silly me, I've finally realized that my PM box was chock full. Actually, it said I had 254 out of 250 messages, which is technically not possible in the first place. Random shoutout to Sir Deathstrike because he was the one who told me!

Anyhow, I finished reading these two books called Life of Pi and A Thousand Splendid Suns. Both of them were really good; the latter was more of a one-day read because it was a pretty captivating story, and the former was filled with a lot of interesting material on animals and zoos, plus containing a seriously excellent plot.

So, I recommend both books to thee. Right now, it's the season of re-reads for me. I'm rereading Memoirs of a Geisha and have already finished Jane Eyre. I think I'm going to have a go at George R.R. Martin's A Clash of Kings (porque mi hermano tiene el otro novel con el titulo A Game of Thrones, la primera obra, pero esta bien, hermano, puedo terminarlo) and then the rest of that series to get me ready for A Dance with Dragons! ::mini-rant:: That book is going to freaking rock so bad. And all thanks to Coach Tyrion (who isn't here) for getting me started.

Current music: Smanie Implacabili Che M'Agitate a la Cosi Fan Tutte

Have a goodish day, folks.

Well, so far it's been a really slow week. [Then again, it's only Monday, so maybe it'll get better.] Since I hardly yap about my life here, I think I might today. Not like it matters. I doubt anyone will read it; I'm not blaming anybody for being inconsiderate, because we all know that the things I expect others to do never always goes with myself. We all know that and just put it the other way to make ourselves feel better.

Okay, enough being mopey. It's a ridiculous waste of time. For anyone who cares, I got this new opera called Pelléas et Mélisande. It's by Claude Debussy and is about a girl (Mélisande) who is alone in the woods and some guy finds her (Pelléas's brother) and decides he loves her. Fastforward. He wants to get married, he gives her a ring, etc. [if you listen to opera you should be able to figure it out now]. But she comes back to his home and falls in love with his brother instead. It was pretty good; that isn't the whole opera but I don't feel like talking about the synopsis. It was really good, though.

I also [finally] got my hands on a copy of Bruckner's Messe Nr. 3; Franz Welser-Möst does it the very best with the LPO (even though conductor and orchestra really weren't on the best of terms). It is also a really nice piece of work. {Skip this if you don't want to read a composer rant} Bruckner was really self-concious apparently, because he grew up a poor peasant. Still, even though he always compared himself to educated geniuses of his time, he was amazing himself. But I think that if I were him I probably would'nt of liked myself either. {End composer rant.}

Yesterday I saw Ratatouille and I thought it was one of Brad Bird's best. Peter O'Toole and Ian Holm were part of the voice cast.

I hope everyone has a nice week.

Addendum: What the hell, right?

And another thing: What type of person makes the best lover, in your opinion?

"Being a music major isn't easy. If it was, it'd be called 'Your Mom'!"

[Yeah, that's not that funny. I only chuckled.]

And this is going on another post day since I only had one response.

1. If you read the final Harry Potter book, what did you think of it? [Be specific; let us assume that any and all questions that could be asked about the book are implicitly implied here.]

Today is one question.

Happy reading, folks.

---------
WTF? A POCKET EMO? Emo kids: please, your style is not unique. Emo is sort of a fad thing right now, and it'll fade once everyone realizes that people make fun of the style in ways such as this, and they are not joking.

Hello.

Allow me to rant for a moment. I really don’t care for substitute musicians. Particularly violinists. Rant over.

On a different note, I’m leaving for vacation tomorrow.

No, I will not be back until next week.

Yes, this is a hiatus.

Question: What is one thing that really, really gets on your nerves?

Addendum: Le Kun, I have yet to PM you. I’ll do that when I return, so expect one from me.
