   Revamped!

Hello all! Just thought I'd change up my theme again. Junpei is my favorite Megatokyo character, so he gets to be honored for a while. Plus, my background music is from TRC, and is a song often used as theme music for Fai, so the song does double duty ^_^ I think it sounds very ninja-y as well.

Anywho, we're into the last week of classes. All my finals are on Tuesday of next week (so I have exactly one week left of school. Yea!!!!) And as long as I don't screw up too badly this week (which is still possible) I'll get my associates degree with honors. Extra Wooooh! Gotta remember to think happy, positive thoughts. Happy, damnit! *hits desk*

So yeah, Junpei's going to be my good luck wallpaper for this week, and if it works, I might just keep him around for a while *crosses fingers* See ya all later!

   I Remember!

I remember what it was I was going to talk about last time! The baptism thingy. Yes, I was baptized on Sunday. It felt like some creepy cult was adopting me. But I got fifty bucks from my step-dad's parents, so it all balances out (man, if there was a hell, I'd so be going to it right now ^_^) But anyway, I'm beginning to wonder if my grandma (my mom's step-mom) is psychic. She so totally knew that I really didn't want to be baptized. She just came up to me after the service and said, "You made me very happy." She didn't say it to my 18 year old sister (who, although she never goes to church, is still christian), or my little siblings. Creepy. Of course, this is the same grandma who's married to the grandpa who stays outside all the time and bow-hunts. He doesn't go to church either (except when he gets dragged along for Christmas and Easter). That probably makes it easier for her to recognize others of the non-christian nature. Woohoo for familiar anti-religious tendancies ^_^

In other news, I've decided that all of you should go read MegaTokyo. It's hilarious. And apparently also available in the manga section of the bookstore O.o *runs off to chart plans for hitting up bookstore tommorrow*

Run!!! It's A Homework Wave! Ahhhh!

Well, I'm back. Damn end of semester crap.

Anywho, I had my birthday party over the weekend. I got a mini bonzai kit. Oh and a paper fan. And an orange wallet shaped like Kyo from Fruits Basket ^_^ Plus, my mom's gonna get me a PS2. Wohoo!

I found myself wishing I was little again. My little brother was watching Digimon (I was a horrible person and managed to obtain illegal bootlegs of the first two seasons for my little siblings) and I had all kinds of flashbacks from when I was younger. Hail Digimon! The well-hidden gateway drug of anime! Even though it is liberally sprinkled with many puns and bad jokes in the english version... ^_^

Gah! There was something else I wanted to post about, but I can't remember. I've been away too long.

Anyway, in other news, I went to Best Buy to pick myself up a copy of Advent Children today. But they were sold out! *cries* Damn you school! Keeping me away from there until 3 in the afternoon! And damn you Best Buy! Not opening until 10 am when I'm trapped in the middle of Design! Now I'll have to get up early tomorrow and call when they open. I'll have to use my hard-earned bookstore skills to pin-point the exact time they will be back in stock. I'm not letting them give me the run around. I know how the basics work, damnit! There will be questions about daily FedEx/UPS shipments and how long it usually takes to receive newly arrived merchandise. Fear my knowledge, Best Buy! I will prevail!

Have a good day all ^_^

   Ahhh!

Sorry for updating at a weird time again. I went out to eat with my friends (me and one of my friends both had a birthday this week) So yeah, I just got back ^_^ We went to this asian themed restaurant. I kind of wish I hadn't though. I'm not really a big fan of asian food (although I did finally learn how to use chopsticks). I'm not really a fan of most other kinds of foods either for that matter. I only really like raw vegetables, fruits, turkey (chicken & venison sometimes), dairy products, pastas (actually, grains in general), and certain teas. As you may be able to tell, Subway is the God of Fast Food from my point of view. But yeah, I always get poked fun at because I like "plain" foods. I think it's my elvish sensibilities ^_^ *tummy rumbles unhappily* And apparently my body doesn't much care for people's attempts to "broaden" my food horizons either. People always seem to translate my protests of "I don't really like..." into "I've never tried..." Then, when I eat it in front of them and say "I don't like it", they always say, "Oh, you'll get used to it." *smacks forehead* Sometimes I wonder if I speak a different language than everyone else.

Anyway, I promise I will go around and comment on sites tonight *pounds fist dramatically*

Oh, and Photobucket finally hosts videos now, so I can put up this one AMV I downloaded from AnimeMusicVideos.org. It's a Naruto video to the song "News From the Front" by Bad Religion. The song fits the show really well, and the video is pretty well timed. Anyway, enjoy!

   Gah!

Sorry for not being on MyO for a while. Stuff. School. Sleep. It's near the end of the semester, so everything kind of culminates into an evil wave of homework doom and depression. Just a few weeks left, then all will be good. Ah, summer. I can't wait. Just work, and stuff I want to study for fun. Like Japanese. *Muwahaha!*

So, have any of you guys seen Ergo Proxy yet? It's by the same director and character designer as Witch Hunter Robin, so it's got the same subdued colors/dark look. But the story is actually pretty interesting. The first episode is just kind of like, "WTF?!", the second episode ends on a, "Wait a minute! Go back! What was that?!" note. The third episode makes you go, "No! Don't end now! What the hell is he?!" And then after that one you start to think through some of the stuff you saw before and you start to figure out that some of the questions you had were only part of what you didn't know. Needless to say, I like it so far ^_^ I can't wait to see what I don't know next.

*edit* Oh, I almost forgot, yesterday (Tuesday) was my birthday, so Happy Birthday to me! I'm 20 now! Wooh!

*edit 2* Ok, I just HAD to post these pics. They're from the newest chapter of Full Metal Alchemist

   Hmmm...

I just realized something while watching Naruto today. Good old fashioned one-sided smack-downs are great fun. We need more of them.

And in fanstuffs news, I'm about a third of the way done with my Fruits Basket article. It's going to be long. Expect it soon ^_^

Also, I've been informed recently that I apparently have to get baptized on the 23rd *grumbles* Hey I have a question for you Lutherans (and other Christians). Isn't it against your religion to baptize non-believers? See, this is what happens when things that are supposed to be signs of faith turn into mindless ritual. It makes my mother feel better because that's what you're "supposed" to do. Gah, I wish she would just go back to pretending to ignore my absence of religious beliefs. I thought that the refusal to sing in church when she used to drag me along had gotten the message across, but apparently not. This is the bad part about having such young siblings. Suddenly, their first communion comes around, and mom remembers that, 20 years ago, when she didn't have any particular religious demonination, she never had me baptized >_< *^%%^%$^%*&*&^!!!! Maybe I should go with saran wrap over my head... wait then I couldn't breathe... ^%$$*$%@#!!!

   Freedom! Kinda...

Yay! I finally finished my Art Hisory research paper. It was on Rubens (the Baroque painter). That man was freakin awesome. He had so many commissions for his work that he practically ran a factory of assistants, and he hardly ever slept. Crazy. Makes me feel positively lazy.

Anyway, so yeah, paper done, so all I have to worry about for the rest of the year are my art projects. Groovy.

I got my replacement DVD in the mail today. So all is right with the world. And also, if I'm not mistaken, I believe the Naruto fillers have ended now, right? So that means... good plot lines! Hell Yeah!

*edit* I take that back, apparently fillers are not over yet *cries*

Also, I noticed that a few of you peoples commented on not knowing who Byakuya was (having never seen Bleach), so I've decide to post an AMV featuring him. I know it's using the same song as the one I have in my background, but it's the only really good Byakuya video on YouTube. So enjoy!

Groovy Stuffs

Well, I have a few topics to talk about today, so let’s start with the most obvious one. Yes, I changed my theme. It is now Kuchiki Byakuya from Bleach. Remember how I was looking for a character bad-ass and/or cool enough to take over from Train? Well, I came upon the idea of Byakuya a while ago, but I couldn’t find any music that was good enough. Then came the day that the article on making fan-videos was posted on theOtaku. Of course, I decided to see what kind of videos this person had made. So I trotted on over to YouTube and took a look. Low and behold, she had made some Byakuya videos. When I watched one of them, my eyes went all buggy and I yelled, “That song’s so perfect!” in my head. So I was shameless again and stole it for my background music ^_^ Once I had music, I made a quick background (as in “not complicated”) using my Photoshop *hugs computer* I’m still new at it so don’t judge me too harshly. Also, I submitted what I made into my wallpapers. I’m not sure if it’s there yet, but I’ll make a link when it is. Also, the site doesn’t seem to want me to upload my new user pic, so that will have to wait *pout* But yeah, Byakuya is cool. He definitely gets the award for being the most ambiguous character, at least until the end of things *shakes head* Too honorable for his own good (and for some other people’s good as well *evil grin*)

I finally got that DVD situation sorted out. I sent back the wrong set they mailed and the right one should be on its way. Yay!

Also, I’ve noticed recently that I’ve become less crazy. I haven’t threatened to bend the laws of physics or listened to that voice in my head in quite some time O.O No!!!! I don’t want to be sane!!! Must… be… abnormal! *cries*… There, I think I’ve gotten a bit less boring now *phwew*

And now, for my super super fun news, one more week until my birthday! *does happy dance* I’m gonna be 20! Wow, that sounds so weird. No more “teen” at the end. God, that was seven of the suckiest years of my life. Good riddance. Welcome “20’s”! Let’s have a fun decade, shall we? ^_^

Hilariousness Ensues!

Ok people, you much watch these Naruto fan videos. InuSesshLover125 had them posted on her site, and I shamelessly stole them because they are so funny ^_^

And on another Naruto note, I got my DVD sets in the mail Wednesday. But one of the ones they sent me is wrong, so I'll have to get that straightened out *pouts* But I will prevail! Later all.

Polly Perkins: "How long were you seeing her?"
Joe 'Sky Captain' Sullivan: "Look me in the eyes. I never fooled around on you. Never."

Describing People Like Fantasy Races... (See, I Was Serious ^_^)

Well, I'm keeping my promise. I'm going to tell my story about my musings on physically describing people in comparison to fictional fantasy races. See, it first started when I finally realized something. My maternal grandpa is really weird. To explain, he's really short, he never sits still, he spends all his time outside in the woods, he deer-hunts with a bow and he usually goes 24 hours without eating, whereupon he eats one meal to last him the next stretch. Now, can you guys guess what thought popped into my head right after I made my realization? Basically, it was, "Holy Shit! Grandpa's an elf!" Hahahaha! Then my brain went on to go, "You know... all my relatives on my mom's side are rather petite... and they're almost all freakishly good-looking..." O.o After that, I turned to my dad's side and looked at them. In a few words they're stocky, red-faced, jolly alcohol-enjoyers. *points at relatives* Dwarves! Hmm, so we got elves on one side, and dwarves on the other... no wonder my parents didn't stay together (Tolkien joke! ^_^) But see, it's so easy to catagorize people that way. And it's rather fun ^_^ (Yeah, I'm weird, so sue me)

In other news, I think I'm going to write another article soon. I'm not going to say what it's about for paranoia reasons, but I'll probably get around to writing it sometime next week, since I'm really packed with homework and such for the time being *cries* I will mention, however, that it will be Fruits Basket related ^_^ Hold your breath people.

Also, it appears that Videodesk is up and running again, so my music is back ^_^ Yay! Glad that was only temporary.

In manga news, I finished reading Black Cat! Wooooh! Go Train! But I still have to catch-up on the anime episodes, since I haven't had the time to watch them lately *cries again* Oh well, I guess I should be going now, so later everyone.
