   NEKOCON DAY 2!!!

It’s time, once again for…

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Ooh boy! I wanted to cosplay for my first con, and I cosplayed as Temari. It wasn’t very good, cause I couldn’t get a giant fan and also I don’t sew, so I had to get all my clothes separately. Also I tried making a more armor-y thing, but it kept breaking, so I just went with a white tank top, which was actually a lot more comfortable. I carried the sand scroll in my sash in my lower back, and I kept my kunai in my sash on my stomach. It was pretty sweet. I also had fishnets on the other leg, but it kept falling down, so finally I just took it off. I also tried to Temari my hair, but it’s so long, it was just messy. I still think I looked ok, though.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Don’t make me go ninja on your ass!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Temari’s using her scroll to summon her pet weasel with the eye patch and the scythe.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Temari’s “bored” pose.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
First off, I have to pay homage to my new friend/brother Gaara/Mugen. Thanks for being my friend, here’s a holla!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
No, not the gourd! Anything but the gourd!!!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Gaaras unite! My friend Gaara made her gourd out of paper mache, and it’s full size, and looked totally awesome. It was definently the best gourd at the whole con, although one interesting guy made his out of orange-y balloons. But anyways, props to her!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Ah, Anko/Jin! Also my pal. While she was the only Anko there, she looked totally awesome. Another big props to her, because as I understand it, she made most of her group’s (including Mugen/Gaara’s) costumes. So, kudos, Ankojin!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Oh god, I can never remember this chick’s name…

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Cute little 7 year old Inoue! Parents, get your kids hooked on cosplay EARLY.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Ichigo! Nuff said.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
This Tsucasa was awesome. His staff was great, it looked like the little orb thig was actually suspended there.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
THE. BEST. COSPLAY. EVER.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Mononoke actually had the paint on her cheeks, but her mask was just so impressive, I asked her to wear it for the photo.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
More Ichigo!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
That is a DDR arrow for those of you who don’t know. I asked him if I could take a picture of him, and he yelled to his friend (who was trying to shop) “Hey, get over here!” “No.” “Come on! Do the pose!” “Nooooo.” In which the DDR arrow grabbed his friend and made him pose for my picture. That’s why the guy n the left doesn’t look that happy.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
FLCL girl!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Oh, props to Tayuya as well, I also became friends with her, and she cosplayed Tayuya for two days and looked really good. She was also the only person who cosplayed someone from Orochimaru’s little gang (no one cosplayed Orochimaru, either), and her bow/pretzel, looked especially awesome, after much ducktaping as I understand it.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
*Sigh* The only Fuu. But she looked great, right down to her hair. She was also really nice.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
For the Fruits Basket fans. There was actually a really hot cosplayer for Kyo (the human) but he was on stage, so I couldn’t get good pics, but man, was he HOT. And he tap danced.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Envy. I only saw Envy and Lusts as far as FMA baddies go. I was a bit dissapinted there were no other homunculus, or Scars. I would have liked to see a Barry the Chopper, too. The original members of THAT have kind of a fascination with Barry the Chopper, ever since we downloaded the first FMA fansubs. Ah, those were the days.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Here’s a good Wolfwood. The belts on the cross looked good.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
THE ONLY CHAD! But he looked great, he even had the right hair for it! It was awesome!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
For some odd, bizarre, reason, the cast of CATS came…

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
And sat in the same place for lke 4 hours licking themselves and then left.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I actually met this dude at our school’s Star Wars marathon. His costume is awesome, he’s even got a little mic in it, so you can here him through a speaker in the helmet and he sounds like a storm trooper. Or more like Church from Red Vs. Blue if you wanna get technical.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
YAY BLEACH! This girl’s outfit was awesome, right down to the fans! I actually saw another Lt. I didn’t get a picture of, the one that really creepy captain “made” in his lab (I can’t remember anyones name right now to save my life). But she was really cool cause she had the blood stains on her stomach and dripping out of her mouth from when she took the hit for Ishida.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
While there were many Sangos, this was the only one with a mask, so I got her picture cause I thought it was pretty cool.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
The only Neji. He was also the only one from his Chuunen team, no Tentens or Lees. It was disappointing, but I guess that’s what happens at small cons.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
An Ed from the back…

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
…and the front.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I wanted to see my kunai actually stick into something.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Soul Calibur III’s been out, what, a week? And already people are cosplaying it. Regardless, this outfit was pretty damn cool.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Another Lust.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
The only Al, but he looked fantastic. The only problem is Ed’s taller than him.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Full Al from the back.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
This Wolfwood’s gun was awesome! And he knew how to strike a pose, too. What a pro!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
The only Rouroni Kenshin character. But at least he was Sano. And at least he had the sword. He was cool.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Vincent, for the Final Fantasy fans out there.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I had my friend take this picture for me, but apparently she ran up to Kakashi and went “Hey, Kakashi, can I take your picture?” and he turned around and she thought he looked disappointed so she started apologizing, and then he whips out Come, Come Paradise! So yay, awesome pose!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
More Narutards like me, yay!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Raven, from Teen Titans!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
This Urahara was AWESOME. The cosplay was perfect, I was so impressed, I nearly cried.

So other than taking pictures and spending a lot of money, I caught the cosplays. Some of them were really good, including one involving Ed beating Roy in a battle by wearing a miniskirt and rendering him helpless, much to the delight of Yaoi fans everywhere. There was also Anime Clebrity Deathmatch with Princess Mononoke from Japan vs. Princess something from Germany (she wore a tutu and looked like Card captor Sakura). They would launch stuffed wolves at eahother or fairy dust, and then get minus HP points held up by guys in the background. There was also one good one with a girl from Pokemon (the one with the bandanna) vs. a boy from Digimon season 4 (the dude with the bandanna) playing Yu-Gi-Oh, and at the end, the MC ended up sucking up both their souls, lol. The only other one that comes quickly to mind is one with “Nintenfrogs” with guys dressed up as Sgt. Frog characters. One used a gun a lot, another one carried a laptop and “surfed the Internet for porn”. Those were all pretty clever.

I also watched Samurai 7 with a friend casue she had never seen it before, and the dubs are actually pretty funny. I’ve never watched it dubbed before but I liked it. I also later saw a few episodes of…uh, Gunbuster2 I think it was, or Aim For the Top 2 in Japanese. It was good. The mecha was estrememly feminine though, and they talked so fast and all on top of eachother, I couldn’t get a lot of the subtitles. But overall it was enjoyable.

I thinkt he next con I go to, I’m going to buy less, and watch more stuff and go to more panels. Cause I hardly went to any, which is a waste of money I guess.

Anyways, hope you all liked the pics! The pics from Sunday will mostly be of the ware I bought and a few of the layout of the dealer’s room. But it’s good ware, lol! Have a great Monday!

NEKOCON, DAY 1!!!

Well, I was almost done typing this post and my comp randomly shuts off, so I'm gonna try this again. Friday was my first day at Nekocon, Southeastern VA's very own convention. It was also my first con! Yay! So in any case, I was really shy at first about taking pictures. But with a little help from a friend *she basically called people over to me until I could do it on my own), I got over it. Without further adue...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

*NOTE:It might take a few minutes for all the pictures to load, please be patient!*

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
This is the convention center. While Nekocon is pretty small, this was a brand new convention center, and we didn't even use half of it. The place was HUGE.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Here is Red, all decked out Naruto sytle, ready to have at it, Otaku style!!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
My favorite pose ever. I'm reading Kakashi's infamous, promiscuous book, and as you can see, it's quite entertaining.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
This was when I was still a bit shy about taking pics, but here was a cool Bleach LT., I forget his name.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Still getting over my shyness.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I actually met the guy who owns this car at the first anime club meeting, but he doesn't go to our school and is like, 28, so it was a bit sketch.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
You can't really tell from this pic, but the Al mug is full sized, and the Ed mug is chibi!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
This is actually the first person I asked to take her pic. This is Lust, obviously.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Terra from Teen Titans. Beast Boy was there the next day, but I didn't get a picture of him.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Funny story about Jin. I told Some Guy and Enin (and many other people come to think of it) that Jin was the hottest character ever, and I was going to molest him at Nekocon. Of course they go "What if he's cosplayed by a girl?" and I said I'd hug her, much to their dissapointment. So I explained all this to the girl cosplaying Jin, and SHE hugged ME! I also have more storied about this girl and her group, but those are for the next night, so I'll hang on to those.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Jin also kept some strange company, including Haku.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Mario was really cool. He had this remote control mario kart he'd drive around when he got bored.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
CLOUD FIGHT!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Naruto's damn proud of his...kilt.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Shikamaru and his...sound ninja buddy.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Blurry picture of Dark, sorry ladies!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
This by far was not the best Inuyasha there, but he wouldn't step away from the Excel Saga thing for two seconds, so I had to endure.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
The Jedi Knight I felt kinda bad for, because other than a lightsaber cult (about 5 fat old dudes with 3 super expensive lightsabers each), he didn't get much representation in the two days I saw him.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
This Ishida was fantastic. He carved his bow all by himself, and painted it, and it lookd great.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Red's new hat!!!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
My new hat makes me tired!!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
One of the many Chis.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Funny story about Link, too. Me and this DDR champion guy I met, decided Navi was the most annoying thing in the world and basically spent 45 minutes talking about all the shit we'd do to her if we could. We said it'd be so funny if we did Navi voices to the guy dressed as Link. So I start walking off after another friend, see Link heading our way, do a 180, and run back to the DDR and I screamed "LINK'S COMING!" so Link turns to corner and this DDR dude (who's like a black 6 foot 6 guy and a bit intimidating) SIDLES up to him, and in a high pitched voice goes "HEY!" Link goes "Hey." then he did it again. and again. and then starts in with the "LOOK! LISTEN! HEY!" and finally, Link realizes what's going on, and goes "Wow, that is so fucking annoying." I was laughing so hard, but I managed to ask for his picture anyways.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Mugen, she even had wooden sandals, and she came as Gaara the next day, and I hung out with her and Jin (whi had become Anko) and we became friends!!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
The girl cosplaying Tsunade's an officer in our club...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
...and is NOT afraid to show off her boobs.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
The girl playing Sakura decided she would ditch Tsunade and randomly grabbed a Sasuke and Naruto (none of them new eachother) and started doing poses.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Oh yes, they are having fun.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Sasuke's contacs were worth a shot too.

Well, I hope ou enjoyed the first day. There are even BETTER ones from Saturday. I'll tell you all the shit I bought (cause there's ALOT. Mostly Bleach and Naruto stuff. Oh, I think it's ALL Bleach and Naruto stuff) the last day. But right now, I'm tired...

I left alot earlier on Saturday, but on Friday I was there till 2 (closing time). I haven't had much to eat today (only a pretzel and hot dog) and not much sleep, either. Hope you all have a good Sunday, I need to go back to the con to buy last minute things. Toodles!

   Blaaaaaaaaaah...

Well, my day was going ok, for the most part. I found out in mythology class that my screwed up version of the Oedipus Complex is still the butt of jokes two days later. But oh vell. It's good for a nice laugh.

Also good for a laugh is our anime club bake sale. We've taken to selling day-old donuts for 25 cents. They're still good though, I ate one. Also, I took some pictures:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Hooray, one of the slowest fund raisers I've ever been a part of!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Come see our numerous baked goods!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
It's the Bake Sale Ninja, also giving props to her favorite site, of course!

So anyways, then I came back to my dorm and kinda lounged around for a while...after that I took a math test which I'm pretty sure I failed. See, for three years my parents have been telling me why I should take "this other" class iinstead of statistics (trig, precal, and finally contemporary mathmatics which is loads harder than it sounds, especially when your prof. sucks) and for three years I've been failing math.

I'm going to die my hair bright red just to spite them.

In the meantime, Nekocon is in two days, hooray! I'm excited! My first con ever! I can finally end my convirginity!

Today at our anime club meeting, we watched some more Escaflowne, we're about halfway through now. Can I just say I LOVE it?!?!?! Oh my god, it's not even funny how much more I enjoy it than NOIR, sorry Mirielle fans.

"What? How could you say that? We sleep in the same bed to appease our fans!!"

"Mwhaha, mecha and bishonen TRUMP ALL!"

Today's Topic: Working Out

No one ever does it. We all say we're going to, but then we don't. And that's how the freshmen 15 comes into play. When you're a freshmen living on campus, many of you/us/me are not used to the buffet-style fatty-fest that is a meal. And then we don't have time to work out, or are just lazy. It's hard to eat healthy! And Lean Cuisine's are expensive, damn it! I miss my...what was it, "Red's Dietary Page" or something I did...back a while ago...cause there's not alot I can eat hear without gaining a pound. I swear, I'll start working out this week, or else I won't be able to fit in my pants anymore come thanksgiving.

I swear.

Really, I do.

Anyways, hope you all have a great thursday, I have to try and pick classes before anyone else can squeeze in there online. It's gonna be a nightmare. Toodles!

   Ohhhhhhhh, man...

I am soooooo tired right now. My roomate thought it would be a good idea to finish the Blade trilogy tonight, so we watched the 2nd and 3rd movies. Then I fell right asleep. I'm dead cat walking today. And having some weird dream involving cows with manes, sheep dogs that could jump 9 feet straight up, and lots of deer didn't help. I won't even try to explain that one.

Sorry I didn't make it to people's sites yesterday. I'll try and do better today, I promise. But I had alot going on, i.e. class, walking a mile to drop off a rented video -_-; etc.

Thanks for all the compliments yesterday on my outfit, it made me feel good. And Enin, your caboose comment cracked up the friend that actually owns the hermit crab, I showed her. Crap, I almost wrote hermit "crap" again.

My art teacher got her hands on a copy of the Toy Story 10th anniversary edition, and proceeded to show us all the extra features yesterday. Which took a while. She's really interested in bringing more animation and graphic design t the school though, which is cool cause I want animation to be my concentration. Course, I'll have to go to graduate school. Haha, can you imagine, "Red Goes to Graduate School"? That'd be rich. What would I talk about? "I had alot of work today. Like everyday, pretty much."

Ok, I have to get ready for the anime club bake sale now, hope everyone has a good day. No "Red Goes to College" today, I'm too tired. Toodles!

   Happy November!!

November's my B-day month, that's why I'm excited. Plus I finally get to take down my cobwebs and change my wall calendar, lol.

So anyways, couple funny things to tell you today. The first is today(meaning in reality yesterday) was the first day of our anime club bake sale! Um yeah, we made like no profit. The ARMY was set up across from us, and when they got there, I said loudly "Oh great, now we have the ARMY to contend with." and the army dude replied "I'll buy a donut if you join the army." And I was like "Uh...no...I like...staying....here...and all...and not...going to...desert...type-places..." And then on or left, a guy was asking everyone who passed by "Do you have a minute to talk about world hunger?" and then I'd shout at them "Do you have a minute to talk about YOUR hunger?!?!" and I think the guy resented me for that. I'd also shout "Fooooooood......" at everyone, like a zombie, or "OUR CANDY BARS ARE CHEAPER THAN THE VENDING MACHINES!!!" I work again on Wednesday, hopefully it goes better.

When I got to class, my professor looked at me and was like "YOU have a sick mind!" In a joking way of course. And I was like "Oh god, what did I do!??!" and he was like "do you remember what you wrote on your quiz?" The quiz was 'What did the Oracle say to Oedipus', and apparently, I had written:

"The Oracle told Oedipus he was going to kill his mother and marry his father."

But the prof knew I didn't mean to write that, and I got full credit anyway, but it gave him a good laugh.

We also had a huge halloween dinner in the messhall place, with shrimp, crabs, candy apples, cider, the works. It was great. I stole lots of special cake and candy apples cause my dorm is a 10 second walk (no exaggeration, I've timed it) from the place. Then I convinced a bunch of people in my hall Blade was the best vampire movie anyone around had (and we had already exhausted our zombie resources, i.e. Shaun of the Dead, the night before), so I introduced a bunch of people to the Blade franchise, in which they remarked "My, what chisled abs Wesley has!"

After that, I was doing my art home work, minding my own buisness, and the fire alarm goes off AGAIN. I poke my head into the hall and lo and behold, smoke has filled up our whole hall. But it wasn't that something was on fire, oh no.

It was my friend's stupid fiance's fucking fog machine.

Apparently, my friend and this other guy turned it on, and it filled up the room so fast, they couldn't see anything to turn it off. As soon as the alarm went off they ran like the wind. Basically our whol hallway stuck our heads out of the doors, while one of the RA's ran down the hall and leaned in the open, smoggy, doorframe and screamed "WHO'S ROOM IS THIS?!?!" We're all like, "Uhhhhhhhh..." you know, kinda dumbstruck. Then this other dude runs down the hall and is screaming "GET OUT! THAT'S THE ALARM! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!" I think he thought something actually was on fire, but he jolted us out of it, and we all ran too. Anyways, I really dont like my friend's fiance, and I like him even less after this whole incident.Luckily it was a warm night.

Oh, for those of you who are curious, this is a pic of my in my unfinished Temari outfit:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I spent an hour making this chest armor that kept breaking and didn't conform to my boobs very well, so I gave up. I'm most proud of the fishnets. I'm not proud that I'm missing a fan. Oh, and I'm also very proud of the forehead (or in my case neck) protector, complimets of the mO's very own Some Guy.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Today's Topic: Pets

Most colleges only allow fish. Which are really well, good, and totally boring. I have a friend that managed to sneak in a hermit crab which is lots of fun. His name is Caboose, after the really stupid blue guy from Red Vs. Blue for anyone else who watches that. It's fun cause you can race him, and put him on your face and stuff. can't do that with a fish, no-siree. I would NOT reccomend trying to sneak in anything bigger than that, unless your college allows it (some allow like, turtles and stuff). Our suitemates decided to sneak in a dog the size of a basketball the other day, and it was a nightmare. first off, the damn thing monopolized our bathroom for like, 4 hours, and whined alot. It was a disaster. So people, be respectful to your roomates/suitmates, and do NOT bring in animals that require more care than a hermit crab.

That's all from here, hope everyone has a great Tuesday!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I hope everyone's day is going awesome! Basically at our school we celebrated Halloween last night. Our hall was awesome, we did "Haunted Forest". We covered all the lights with black paper, and had "vines" hanging from the cielings. We also got a storbe light and bloody people sat in front of it and when people walked by, they'd whisper "help, please help us..." it was so creepy. We also had a "coffin" made out of a couch that some devil girls sat in and gave out candy. It was really cool.

Except I was supposed to be at a practice cosplay party, but only two other people showed up, so we talked about cons for 20 minutes and left. Oh well.

I spent like an hour making a Temari chest armor out of cardboard, staples, stretchy cloth, string, duck tape, rubber cement, but it kept breaking and it didn't conform to my, uh...form very well, so I just ended up wearing a white tank top over my purple shirt. the thing I like best are the fishnets, they're totally cool, and I went to great lengths to get them on the right legs.

I saw Shaun of the Dead today, which was frekain hilarious. Gotta love those British.

Uh oh, it's time once again for...

RED'S WEIRD-ASS DREAMS!!!

So anyway, since I've been thinkin about cosplay so often, I guess it's been on my subconcious, too. So in my dream, I was in totally awesome Temari clothes, but then everyone EXPECTED me to be a Temari, and there was also people there cosplaying Gaara, and other evil dudes, I can't remember who else exactly. Anyways, "there" was actually in my college football stadium (which is weird, cause I haven't been in it yet), and the whole place was set up to look like the set from MXC. That's right, when cosplayers meet Most Extreme Elimination Challange, or whatever they call it. So anyways, the first activity involved running around the track, and jumping on some raft in the middle. I lost, cause I only ran around once instead of twice. The second one involved us being about 80 feet in the air, and having to jump onto this floating styrafoam raft below us. It was funny because "Battlecry" from Samurai Champloo actually started playing in my mind. Of course, it was kinda scary, too. I had to go last since I lost the first game. But there were ugly MXC masked people pushing us off the platform. In order not to get pushed, I had to jump to early, and landed on the guy in front of me on the raft. We all went up for a second try, and right before I was about to jump off...

My non-dreamed head hit the non-dremed baseboards of my bed. And oh fuck, it hurt. So I got up and showered.

Today's Topic: Loud Music

With today's music variety, it is very possible you and your roomate will have totally different tastes. For example, I like System of a Down, My Chemical Romance, Yellowcard, etc. My roomate likes Usher, 50 Cent, Mariah Carrey, and those rap-type people. And Garth Brooks, which is even worse. We usally play both our music really loud at the same time, or one of us converts to headphones. Now, headphones is not bad, but the real trick is to play your music really loud when he/she's not there so there might be a chance of her/him coming in and going "This isn't so bad". This actually worked with anime music I played and another girl in my hall. But she heard me play Lifehouse and really liked that, so now she plays that alot. Of course, uh, her musical stylings don't really rub off on me, lol. There's also another girl in my hall who likes rock, but she preferes Guns N' Roses and Bon Jovi and like, 80's era, where I prefer 90's grunge, like Pearl Jam, and Nirvana. Basically, the only thing you can do is hope to god you get a roomate with the same musical tastes you do, or find someone n your hall who does and hang out with them. Me and GNR girl trade mix cds, it's cool.

Well, I hope everyone has a great halloween. I'll probably be forced to watch scary movies by my roomate. I might try and shove some Blade movie down her throat at some point though. Toodles, everyone!

   Saturday doth begin...

I had a good friday. Got all my laundry done, got 100 on a mythology quiz and took another one I'm pretty sure I got 100 on, hung out for some book talking in my myth professor's office hours at the coffee place with the usual crowd that hangs there. Today we gave ourselves all x-men names, so our professor is Cyclops, one pretty hairy dude is Beast, I'm Shadowcat, the other girl is Mystique, and the Southern gentlemen guy is Gambit. All in all pretty fitting. And then later to top it off, me and a few of my friends (different ones this time) watched X-Men 2. Wow, that's a great movie. I'm soooooo pissed Bryan Singer's not directing the 3rd one. For those of you who don't know, he directed the first two, and was going to direct the 3rd one, but then he heard this bad director was directing the Superman Returns movie, so he gave it up to direct that instead. Meanwhile, the director who they didn't want directing the superman movie signed on to direct X-Men 3! Doncha just hate irony?

In any case, these same friends and I stayed up for 3 hours playing this awesome board game called Apples to Apples. You basically put down a card with an adjective, and all the other players have 7 cards with nouns or famous people that they choose one card from to put down to what they think the "judge" will like most. It's so fun.

Now I'm back in my room with my roomie and her Pet Rock boyfriend (all he does is sleep, that's why we all call him that) trying to type quietly, hehe.

I also went with my RA today (if college was summer camp, she'd be like, the counselor of the hall)to pick up some halloween supplies. Mostly cobwebs and things. I convinced her to buy some fake rats for the hall, hehe. All in all, a pretty uneventful yet satisfying Friday.

Today's Topic: Transportation

Even though on our campus freshmen are allowed to have cars, most of us don't. This is why it is VERY important in your first month of school, to make very good friends with someone who does. Even though the grocery store is only a block away, it's such a pain in the ass to carry a 12 pack of soda back to school. If a car is not in order, I'd suggest a bike. Getting to ride a bike when you've been walking 98% of the time is FABULOUS! Remember in the first Pokemon games when you got that Bike Voucher and could FINALLY ride that bike, and it felt so fast, and there was that happy music? That's EXACTLY what it feels like to ride a bike at college when you mostly walk, no exaggeration. It's so worth it. If you can skateboard, longboards are also very popular. For those that don't know, these look like a cross between mini surfboards and skateboards, because they're really long, but with wheels. It's primarily for distance purposes. Do NOT purchase a scooter, whatever you do. Sure, Owen Wilson may have looked cool in Zoolander with one, but at college, one does NOT. I also would not reccomend skates.

I hope you learned alot in today's lesson!

Thank god it's Friday, or I'd shoot myself.

I'm so glad it's the end of the week. I'm thinking about maybe tromping on down to the video store later to rent Shaun of the Dead, cause I don't wanna see any on the scary stuff they're showing on campus, and I epecially do not want to see Dark Water...maybe I'll get the Amityville Horror, cause it has one of my favorite Canadians Ryan Reynolds... Anywho, yesterday kinda blew. First off, my ass started hurting like there's no tomorrow.Ok, it's not really my ass, it's more like where the femur connects to the pelvis. But I've been sitting on a pillow 3 days and it doesn't help. Anyone know how to remedy this? It's gotten so bad, I've even started walking around with a little limp. Not cool.

I also have to spend more time with my art professor than I want to because for a HW assignment we have to watch Toy Story. Course, that's the ONE computer animated movie I did not bring with me. I have all the others (Finding Nemo, Shrek 1 and 2...) But no, not Toy Story. Life's jsut too damn ironic some times.

Um, I also had a fight with my mother bordering along the lines of "Well, I don't understand why you don't wanna take this course, or that course, or why you don't want to meet with your academic advisor again, and why are you being so abrupt?" cause I was answering all her questions with one word answers. Know why? It's cause I was in the middle of writing a speech I had to make 3 hours later when she called, but I can't tell her that so, I had to suffice with "Im in the middle of something" in which case she abrubtly hung up, and left me to rub my forehead in consternation, frustration, and moodiness for the next 45 minutes. It was not a good afternoon. My horoscope says my weekend will be better, so let's hope so.

Today's Topic: Fire Alarms

Just to clarify, the fire drill last night, did not go off during the day. It has this nasty habit of going off between 11 PM and 3 AM. Out of the 9 times it's gone off, it's only gone off during the day once. And back in august and spetember, if it went off around 12, the water sprinkers turned on. Oh, I think it was the third time it went off, it was because some stupid ass-face on the north side of the building (thank god I'm on the South side) was throwing a frisbee, and it hit a water sprinkler, effectively flooding the 4th floor (thank god again I'm on the second). That killed a bunch of people's stuff, and also leaked a little into the third floor. We were out of the building for two hours in the middle of the night, and the people who lived in 3 and 4 north had to find someplace else to spend the night. It was not a fun situation. On the other hand, everytime the fire alarm goes off in the building where I have art class (that's happened only twice now), everybody grabs their supplies and leaves. The class is three hours long, so we tend to bail early. Good times.

Oh, I dunno if anyone else is into Podcasts? I'm a fan now of Mugglecast (those guys are very funny, and yet inciteful) and Lost:The Transmission. I downloaded some Boston Anime Convention panels that were cool, considering one of them is coming to the con I'm going to, but does anyone know any good anime ones? The one I listened to I could only listen to five minutes, because it was 4 guys playing around in their basement and calling eachother Narutards...

Not much else to report. Here's a shout out to all my buddies who I force to read my blog and are not members of this site:

*SHOUT*

Hope everyone has a superb-o Friday! Oh, and in case you didn't know, if Some Guy were a girl, he'd be Hitomi from Escaflowne, so I've set him up on a date with this lovely gentleman:

Who I would probabyl steal from him and then kick his little crying-Hitomi ass for good measure. Date the guy with the mecha, Hitomi-Guy!!

Wooooooooh, I'm hyper tonight.

Round here...

Just listening to Counting Crows, while my roomie's NAVY buddies talk about their drinking prowress. *sigh*. They're really stupid. Not just stupid like "That's a stupid thing to do," which it is, but when I talk to them I feel like I'm talking to 10 year olds. No joke.

In any case, my printer was being a bastard today, so I hit it alot, and pulled paper out of it, and basically I just wanted to take a baseball bat to it like in Office Space. But I finally got it working.

Today we talked about decorations for our hallway for halloween. We decided on "Haunted Forest", so basically we're gonna make a bunch of paper trees, have some people dress up as trees, stay still, and randomly grab kids as they walk by. We also are going to put a strobelight in the laundry room, and have bloody people smash themselves against the windows as people walk by. We also might have some fake limbs sticking out of the washing machine. Don't worry, as always, I'll take lots of pics. I haven't decided if I'm gonna dress up as a tree.Propbably not, because also that day, the anime club is having a cosplay workshop thing, so I'll be wearing my Temari suit anyways. I told someone today I was basically a ninja in fishnet tights, and they were like "WHAAAA?" Haha. In any case, this weekend should be alot of fun. Except for studying for math. However, my study buddy and I will be studying as we watch the Skins/Giants game (I'm a Redskins fan, he's a Giants fan), so it'll be cool. There's also lotsa free food and parties around campus, but there's also ones you have to pay for. Kinda lame.

Oh man, I was gonna tell you all something, but I forgot what it was...

Oh, I think I'll start a new segment called "Red Goes to College". The first segment was the dorm pics. I had to take those down cause they took too long to load. So, uh, here it is...

Today's Topic: Smokers and Gays

I like to tell all my underclassmen friends that in order to fit in at college, you have to smoke, or be gay, and that they should start early. Haha, well, not really. But there is a high percentage of smokers at least in my school, and as for gays, I've never had so many gay friends in my life, and it's wonderful. They add a new perspective on things. I have one friend that it's a little obvious he's gay, and so one day, his roomate finally asked him "Uh, are you gay?" just to get it out there, and he said "What if I was bisexual?!?" But no, seriously, I have loads of great friends here. On the other hand, I'm not really friends with the smokers. They like the sit right in front of the doors to every building, wafting their death smog around, and then smelling up my room when they come in (my roomie's friends with a few). I keep a constant supply of Fabreeze to throughly soak my fabrics in every day. So just a piece of advice, kiddies, in college you can never have enough Fabreeze.

I dunno if that actually had a point or not. Um, but it's just a trial run, so we'll see how it goes.

Other than that, nothing really to report here, except that it's DAMN COLD. Hope everyone has a great Thursday. Ooh, I wonder if new CSI episodes are on, those guys are HOT!!

Hehe...

Ok, the fire alarm just went off for the 3rd time in 20 minutes, so I think I'll call it a night. Toodles!

   Hey der...

So yeah, I'm only updating about 6 hours after my last post, but I'm just excited by the prospect of telling you guys about my crappy morning. And I was bored, and I can't keep checking my e-mail every 7 minutes looking for author alerts from fanfiction.net.

So anyways, on tuesdays and thursdays, my first class is Spanish, which goes from 9:30 to 10:45 and then I go immediately to art, because that's in a part of campus that's about 10 minutes walk away. Carrying my huge-ass art portfolio (I've done some pretty cool stuff this semester, I might post some of it later). But this morning, I got up and hour and a half earlier than usual because I was supposed to take some sort of state art test, only to get there and find out it was postponed. Not that I'm complaining, because I go to come back to my dorm and read fanfiction for like, an hour. After my classes, I had to trek 15 minutes across campus (and in front of a bowling alley and a post office) in the other direction to meet with my not-so-on-the-ball academic advisor, who, as it turns out, didn't even give me half the crap I needed anyways, THANKS, NOT. Signing up for classes is so damn hard at this school, I swear. So anyways, I got back, and the internet wasn't working, so I watched an hour of live action GTO (once again, thanks to SomeGuy) and took a nap, because when the Internet's down, instead of doing something productive, I just like to sleep it off.

I also saw some more ROME, because for our mythology class, we watch it every week for extra credit (it's pretty much the same group of people now) and chat it up, oh, and our professor pays for pizza for all of us. All in all, it's an awesome setup. There's like 6 of us who ALWAYS go, and now the 6 of us have started hanging out with the professor for his office hours too, because he has them in the starbucks-like place that's on campus. It's not actually a Starbucks, but they think they're such hotshots, cause they "brew starbucks coffee". IT'S NOT THE SAME THING, TARDS! Luckily, I hear there's an actual starbucks being built across the highway of dangerous traffic that has a 4 1/2 second crossing time (oh yes, I've timed it).

I still don't know what I'm doing for halloween. I mean, sunday night, kids are coming to the dorms trick or treating (I got GOOD candy for them, dammit! Like skittles, snickers, and M&Ms, not some cheap knock offs), but on monday I don't have anything to do. Maybe I'll go trick or treating in my Temari cosplay outfit. Oh yes, for those of you that don't know (which i assume is alot), there's a convention 15 minutes away in 2 weeks. I'm cosplaying Temari from Naruto, except I don't have a fan. It's my first con, and my first cosplay, so don't expect anything too spectacular, but have no fear, I WILL post pictures.

Um, other than that, recently I bought FMA (or FA, you people who are anal about the stupid abreviations) vol. 5, Samurai 7 vol. 2 (WHICH ROCKS, EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH THIS SERIES, DAMN NIT!), Dragnet (one of the best 80's comedies ever), and Batman Begins (naturally). I will not be spending any more money for a long while. With exception to Nekocon, of course.

Oh, also in my absence, I had the oppurtunity to see Samurai Champloo in all of it's fansubbed glory, and have decided Jin is probably one of the hottest anime characters in existance, and I will not hesitate to molest him at Nekocon. Unless he's being cosplayed by a girl, in which case I might just hug her, much to SG and Enin's wildest yuri dreamed dissapointment.

I call that right there "Sexy no JIN su!" Yes, my Narutardedness shines through to the last.

Um, any other things to report? Since it's been awhile, I might just report more things as I remember them, for examlple, as I was starting to type this sentence, I remembered that I comandeered Stargate SG:1 seasons 1 and 2 from a friend, and am working on getting all the seasons from him, but between those and Stargate: Atlantis, I think I know enough now to call myself a "Gater". You know, it's like a "Trekkie", but for Stargate people.

Oh yeah, that's a hot one right there.

So anyways, nothing else to report, I hope you all have a great wednesday! Ja ne!
