   Experimentation.

Just experimenting.

   I bet you're wondering...

"...where have you been, Red?" Well, dum deedle-ly do, I'll tell you. Friday night was all out band festival. We didn't play until 9:30, and didn't site read until 10:30, and didn't get back to school till 11:30, and when I got back it was time for me to watch Stargate: Atlantis. Man, I hope they have sci-fi in the hotel in Indianapolis next week. Yesterday I went shopping again for my cruise, but I only got a bathing suite and some screen covers for my Nintendo DS, which are VERY handy things to have, btw, and I highly reccomend them to any DS player. Since none of my friends will buy my DNAngel DVD off of me, I'm now selling at least the second one on Amazon.com. It's the lowest priced one, being 15 bucks, so if you want it, hop on over there and check it out. I won't sell the first volume until I see how the transaction goes, considering this is my first time selling anything over the Internet.

I also got my hair highlighted and cut yesterday. It looks pretty good now, but I did decide when I get into college, I'm gonna put in red highlights, and see how that fiasco goes. I also got my eyebrows waxed for the first time ever. Priviously in my life, I've never done ANYthing to my eyebrows. So, it was quite a big accomplishment for me.

Today I went to the mall and bought a protective case for my iPod. My mom also got an iPod shuffle, so I'm gonna have to show her how to work that. wOOt. I also went to the bookstore and ppicked up some reading material for the cruise, mainly The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Dave Barry's Booger book. Should be most excellent, if I do say so myself. And I'm really looking forward to Hitchhikers, so I can see the movie and be in the know.

Bleach 21 was hot, and Naruto 124 was friggin awsome with drunk Lee and the showing up fo the allies of Konoha.

OSCAR WEEK

Oh man, that was such a good movie. Even that asswipe, Afleck was good in it.

"I saw my whole life as if I had already lived it. An endless parade of parties and cotillions, yachts and polo matches. Always the same narrow people, the same mindless chatter. I felt like I was standing at a great precipice, with no one to pull me back, no one who cared... or even noticed."

Anywho, I hope ou all enjoy the rest of your weekend. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to buy the Ultimate Guide to How to Be Batman. No, seriously, that's what the book is called. It tells you how to fight, escape, trian a sidekick, be a detective, put armor on your Batmobile, and lots of other useful things. I'll probably test out my sneaking around skills in Indianapolis next week. So, ciao, folks!

Look who's makin her own banners?

That's right, I discovered a hidden 60-day demo last night on my newer computer of Jasc Paint SHop! So fun! I only know how to do about 7% of the things on here, but it's really fun! You'll notice my latest banners in my intro, I take it. Oh, and look, I just made this in the past 5 minutes!

Whee, this is fun! Why didn't I have this sooner? Oh yeah, cause it costs MONEY. Speaking of money, I downloaded "Drive Away" by Gratitude off iTunes yesterday. Tis a rock song, and very cool. It's my recommendation for the week.

RED'S DAUNTING DIETARY SEGMENT
Yay, I lost 2 more lbs! Hooray! That's teh first real progress I've made in a few weeks. Guess those crunches really helped.

Nothing else has really been going on, except my reading of fanfiction. Oh, and about 20 minutes ago, I decided that instead of this:

RED'S MAGNIFICENT MOVIE QUOTE

We're gonna have this:

Or this:

Or this:

And probably more when I make them. SO anyways, the quote from last time was from A Beautiful Mind.

"I will have poetry in my life. And adventure. And love. Love above all. No... not the artful postures of love, not playful and poetical games of love for the amusement of an evening, but love that... over-throws life. Unbiddable, ungovernable - like a riot in the heart, and nothing to be done, come ruin or rapture. Love - like there has never been in a play."

Speaking of love, I do love this movie. So anyways, I hope everyone has a great Thursday, hey, it's march! One month closer to summer! Hoo-ray! Ok, ciao folks.

Yeah. So after 3 snow days in a row, plus the weekend, we finally returned to school today. Not much happened. Well, except it was Case Day. That's this big thing that my high school does to teach AP Government students about the Supreme Court. Basically, the students re-enact a case that is happeneing in the Supremem Court the next day, and a bunch of government offcials and School Board offcials come down to be judges. Since I was the education commitee (we dorve to our middle school and told the 8th graders about it), I wasn't involved directly in the actual case, but my AP Journalism teacher was one of the justices, so I got to skip that class. I was thinking of skipping Spanish, but in the end I didn't, which was ok, cause we didn't do much. And I did manage to steal a muffin out of the Judges' Food Basket, cause I hadn't had any breakfast, and was hungry. Who can blame me? THEY weren't eating them.

Last night I went to the gym and had a big workout. My abs are still sore. I'm gonna loose this beer belly (Ok, I don't have a beer belly cause I don't drink, and my belly doesn't hang 6 inches over my belt) and be nice and spunky for my cruise in 3 weeks, yay!In fact, after I update, I'll go do an ab workout, yay!

Aw, yeah, work it, girl!

The only thing I have to report today is some pictures for the new Zorro movie. Yes, it has Antonio and Catherine Z-J, before you ask.

Here's the link to some more new pictures. The first one's a little fruity, but the rest are good.

RED'S MAGNIFICENT MOVIE QUOTE-OSCAR WEEK
That's right, everyone's favorite singing family, the Von Trapps!

"Imagine if you suddenly learned that the people, the places, the moments most important to you were not gone, not dead, but worse, had never been. What kind of hell would that be? "

Heh, actually, that quote kinda reminds me of a Stargate: Atlantis fic I'm reading right now. DON'T SAY ANYTHING. Ok, ciao, folks.

   More snow!

And to finish out my extra-long weekend, we have another snow day today. So once again I watched Ellen and the Rock Countodown on MTV 2. Love the new Jimmy Eat World song, "Work". I'm also pretty partial now to The Mars Volta's "The Widow". Rock fans, check those out. Those are the shindig.

On to the Oscars. I thought Chris Rock did a really good job! He was funny, and I liked his little stint at the Magic Johnson theater. Especially when he found Albert Brooks (The voice of Marlin in Finding Nemo) and asked him if he saw White Chicks and Brooks turned to the camera and said "BEST movie ever! You got robbed!" Haha, that made me crack up. I also liked the thing at the beggining where he was like "If you want Russel Crowe, and all you can get is Colin Ferrel, WAIT! You doin a movie about the past, you want Russel's ass!" Haha, way to go. I didn't like how they would give awards from the aisles in some catagories, or in others get all the nominees up on stage. And they also needed more skits and stuff in between, like last year when Will Ferrel and Jack Black sung the "You're Boring" song. But I DID like the speech where Adam Sandler pretened Chris Rock was Catherine Zeta Jones and was like "Those high heels are sex-a-licious!" haha, that was good. But, the deal with the Oscars is, they could easily have made that show go all the way to 12, and it would have been great. Oh, and one more thing...

How washed up the Cpunting Crows look? I mean, I love their music, I have their cds, but STILL! Adam Duritz, ugh! It looked like he was having a siezure, the way his eyes kept rolling back in his head! And I should know, for not only am I the mO's resident Movie Guru, but I'm also the mO's resident Epileptic. Ha! Yeah, anyways that was bad. Oh, and how come Beyonce got to sing TWO songs? What's the deal? I liked her French song better, though. I wasn't surprised at any of the winners. No real upsets. Pretty standard, really. Hehe, I did like Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst presenting together, though.

RED'S MAGNIFICENT MOVIE QUOTE-OSCAR WEEK
I would hope everyone knows Gone with The Wind, but you know today's youth...

"There's nothing more irresistible to a man than a woman who's in love with him. "

I used to hate that movie cause my mom made me watch it all the time, but now of course, I love it.

Oh, "and one more thing..." as Grandfather would say in the Jackie Chan Adventures...I've been noticing alot of people around here are a)sick, b)depressed, c) super sick and depressed about it. So, quite frankly, I'm sick of this depressing attitude floating around here. And you all know that I'd come over to all your houses, and do a song and dance number to cheer you up, but I can't. So, you're gonna have to cheer yourselves up. I'm not sure how, because everyone is different, but you've at least got to try. But, in case you need some inspiration, here's a start:

Have a good week, everybody!

OSCAR TYME!

THAT'S RIGHT! IT'S ONE OF MY FAVOREITE NIGHTS! OSCAR NIGHT!!!

*cheers*

As one of the mO's resident movie gurus (as I like to think of myself), this is one of my fav nights a year. Too bad no more LOTR movies. Last year, the Breakfast Club all got on MSN at the same time and cheered for our favs. It was great. Anyways, I've seen two of the movies nominatted for best picture, so I think I'm pretty well-off. I still really want to see Sideways, though. But for now, Finding Neverland and The Aviator will suffice. And this year also promises to be good, cause CHRIS ROCK is hosting! Yeah, baby!

Though, the opening with Billy Crystal on the horse with Jack Nicholson on Gandalf last year was classic, too. If anyone knows where I can watch that again, leave a comment, or PM me or something. I also enjoyed very much last year the Starsky and Hutch stint by Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson, and the song by Will Ferrel and Jack Black "You're boring". That was great. I hope they do something like that again.

Question of the day: Who do you think will win the top honors, and why?

For those of you not really into Oscar Hype, here's a page of the Golden Schmoes, voted for by people like you and me, and with MUCH better catagories. For example, Worst Movie of the Year was Catwoman, and Trippiest Movie of the Year was Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (which I've also seen, yay). Anyways, those are fun, so those are here:

http://www.joblo.com/index.php?id=6652

Wow, the drawings and comics were really popular, so yes, they might turn into a weekly occurence, we'll see. Thanks so much to everyone taking the time to look at them. Oh, and here's SG's death-by-alien.

RED'S MAGNIFICENT MOVIE QUOTE-OSCAR WEEK
I don't know why I didn't start this sooner, but starting today, the quotes are from Oscar movies. We might do this longer than a week, too. Oh, and the quote yesterday was from Total Recall.

"I'm very drunk and I intend on getting still drunker before this evening's over."

Everyone have a good Sunday!

   OH WOW!

Hehe, i'm SO excited for next week's Stargate: Atlantis! There's gonna be an Atlantis/SG:1 crossover! Cause the evil bad aliens are coming! Oh wow, SO excited! I don't know if I can wait a week!!! I am SO getting this on DVD when it comes out! Tonight when I was watching the Stargate shows, I was also flicking back and forth to Shakespeare in Love...ah. Everyone was so good in that. Even Afleck.

Tonight my mom set aside my groundedness for a time, and took me to see Finding Neverland. It was a great movie, but such a tear-jerker, you have NO idea. And who knew Depp could pull off one of the best Irish accents I've EVER heard? WOW.

I finally got off my ass and scanned in some drawings I did yesterday, cause the fanart I have up hear I did two years ago, and it's crap. So, here's a cartoon I drew in 30 seconds of Some Guy on Chinese New Year:

And just so you can see that I draw better than that, here's a cool alien I drew:

And here's that SAME cool alien killing the mO's very own Enin for calling me a Milkshake, Shipshake, and Ship Wench.

Oh yes, he KNOWS he's in trouble. And sorry if you don't like the comic, but if you want to see funny ones, go to Darkeangel's page, kapeesh?

RED'S MAGNIFICENT MOVIE QUOTE
Adaptation. Oh, how I love Nick Cage.

"No wonder you're having nightmares, you're always watching the news."

Ok, fare thee well, everyone, happy weekend!

   Finally, something went right.

Another snow day. We don't really need it, but I'm happy all the same. I didn't want to go to school today, expecially since I stayed up all night talking to Some Guy and Enin (you guys rock, despite calling me a Shipshake). Uh, everyone else, please don't ask about that.

Here's a picture for you all I've been meaning to put up but kept forgetting to:

This morning I watched Ellen, so I could see Brad Garret (sp?) wash windshields. It was so funny. Damn, I love that show.

RED'S MAGNIFICENT MOVIE QUOTE
Ok, is Niko the only one of you that actually tries? Honestly, not that I don't like you, Niko, but I hope more than one person actually cares about this thing.

"To begin... To begin... How to start? I'm hungry. I should get coffee. Coffee would help me think. Maybe I should write something first, then reward myself with coffee. Coffee and a muffin. So I need to establish the themes. Maybe a banana nut. That's a good muffin."

Haha, that was for you, Evil. You should put it on your page. Anyways, hope to get to everyone's sites today! Happy Friday! New Stargate: Atlantis episode today, yay!

Ugh, I need a new comp...or to just move to college right now...

Well, after rebooting my wireless internet hub about 9 times (seriously, no joke, this thing's a POS) I moved into my brother's old room to use our new computer, where he moved it. Problem is, there's no chair. So I dragged in my butterfly chair, much to my dogs' delight, and am now sitting about 6 inches below the computer with the keyboard on my lap. Hey, just cause I'm number 2 on the "popularity list" doesn't mean I'm high tech. High maintenence, maybe, but definently not high tech.

This next quote I found while reading Stargate:Atlanstis fanfics again. This one's for all ym Canadian buddies out there:

"Cocky asshole. Who knew a geek could be cocky? Especially a Canadian geek. Aren’t you supposed to be good-natured? Eat maple syrup on everything? Say ‘eh’ a lot? And, oh, do what the hell I tell you?"

Haha, I guess you had to see it in context, but I thought of you all the same when I saw it.

Ugh, I think my diet's going horrible. Today in journalism our teech had all these breakast foods left over, and I had to have a scone. Those things have enough fat to constitute a whole meal. Plus I felt really bad afterwards. Are those things filled with cream cheese? Cause if so, it was damn good. I didn't think I liked cream cheese. I thought I hated it. Guess not. Learn something new about yourself everyday, I spose. Anyways, there's a girl in the other journalism class who's dad writes for National Geographic and hosts the show. He's so cool! He came to talk to us today, and surprisingly, I knew every article he talked about! I didn't realize I was an NG Geek. I used to just look at the pictures, but now I read the stuff, too. He also talked about a book I read about Mt. Everest, called "Into Thin Air" by Jon Krakaur. It's SO good. I highly reccomend it, aka, get off 'yo ass and do some reading. Heh, at least using this computer gives me a chance to update my iPod with some Evanescence and Matrix Reloaded and maybe some Lifehouse, Staind, and other random crap.

Speaking of music, anyone else (sides Enin and Evil) heard the Date Rape Song by Sublime? Haha, it's so funny, even though, it's really not. I'd also take this time to reccomend the Detachable Penis song by King Missile. Both highly entertaining, and highly innapropiate. Have fun, kiddies!

The nice thing about the position I'm in now, is I can see who drives down our street, and I also have a nice view of the full moon. Ooh, it's orange!

RED'S MAGNIFICENT MOVIE QUOTE-IT'S BEEN A WHILE WEEK
Yes, Mission Impossible, cause Ethan thought that fat dude was dead, and then saw him in a phone booth, yadda yadda...

"You should have killed me when you had the chance!"

Yes, yes, lame, I know, but my dad's home, so I gotta go. Stay cool, guys!
