   Poetry Contest
Hey, guess what everybody. One of my poems made it to the semi-finals in the International Open Poetry Contest on poetry.com. There's a First Prize of $1,000, and a Grand Prize of $10,000. Tryin not to get my hopes up of winnin one of thoses, heh heh. I'm still excited though 'cus my poem is going to get published in a book! It's called Immortal Verses and it's comin out in the Fall. I dunno if every poem they receive makes it to the semi-finals or gets published or somethin, but this is real excitin to me. The winners of the competition are gonna be announced sometime this month. Not gettin my hopes up, but I won't lie, $10,000 would be real nice. But I'm still gettin over the fact that one of my poems is gonna be in a book. It's a poetry anthology thingy. Well, wish me luck, please.
