huh? I have a D+ in AP US History?? I actually put work into that, how can I have a D+?....oh, that one thing...*cheesy smile*
I guess I deserve it.
But now I don't want to see what my grades are in all my other classes.
And I feel rotten. Why? There's no reason for me to feel rotten, I have till December to raise the grade.
...yeah, I'm going hiatus till then.

For the sake of updating
Chapter 4, section 3, problem 21. It is given that line NP is congruent to line QN is congruent to line RS is congruent to line TR and that line PQ is congruent to line ST. Prove that triangle NPQ is congruent to triangle RST, using a two column proof.
I hate math. Not that I don't understand, just the tediousness...however it is one would spell tedious...

Mango Still
Mango's not my real name. Tis a nickname I've been given by the ever lovable nerds at my school, and the media teacher, and the creative writing club.
Anyhoo, There's a MyO link on TheO!!
Now I have two journals...

Grades
I'm seriously in panic mode right now. We're already halfway through the second semester and I don't have an A in Algebra 1 or my Decisions class. I don't know what to do!

All smiles today. Zombie Prom Rox
I have now officially volunteered for my first convention ever. I forgot what it's called, but I'm going with the Mingus Union High School Anime Club, so it's not like I'll get lost.
My artwork will be sold there, so hopefully I can finally get rid of some old paintings.
Oh, yeah, Zombie Prom. A play at my school, some of my friends are in it, therefore I am obligated to say : ZOMBIE RIGHTS, ZOMBIE RIGHTS FOR CORPSES!!!

Yay!
I was supposed to be going to my first con this year, but the convention the club at my school was supposed to go to had been canceled. Boohoo.
Well, today, we received news of another convention. Apparantly, a lot of people were dissapointed about the canceled con, so they've started a new one.
If they have tables, I might be able to sell my art there. I'm not talking about the art I have posted (things I can draw in seconds), I'm talking stuff I work on for days, paintings, prints, the stuff I'm actually proud of.
So yeah, I'm happy.

I am not happy
and I will tell you precisely why I'm pissed off right now: The bell was about to ring in five minutes, everybody was ready to go. My friend and her frind were sitting in front of a bunch of preppy girls. I sat next to them. One of those girls asked my friend, "Why don't you guys act normal?"
My friend and her friend said ,"Define normal" and that chick replied with, "Heterosexual is normal."
Another one of those girls promtly said, "Not that we have anything against gays, some of my friends are gay so don't be thinking we have anything against..."
Grr! By saying heterosexual is normal, she is saying that anything else is NOT normal! Of course that's saying she has something against them, what else would that mean?!
Don't get me wrong, I'm straight, but that does not mean I'm just going to sit around while half of my friends are being insulted. I am not in a good mood today.

Changing styles
Today was Aims testing for the sophomores. I'm a freshman so it wasn't nessasary for me to be on campus before 11:35. School normally starts at 7:45 so I had four hours to kill. I figured, what better way to pass the time than not doing my homework and opting for looking through my old drawings?
I'm talking about a pile of drawings that has accumulated over a period of five or more years. Naturally, some of them were very bad.
Aside from the increasing quality of my drawings, I noticed something else: The style kept changing. I spotted a Pokemon influence, A Cardcaptor Sakura influence, Dragonball Z, InuYasha, Yu-Gi-Oh, Gunslinger Girl, Yuu Watase-Sensei's style, etc. It was actually quite fun to look through those drawings.
And to think, I was so adament about throwing them out while my mom kept screaming, "No! Don't you want those so you remember how you used to draw?!"

Summerizing a poem
We've all summerized our fanfiction on ff.net. Some of them are great, some of them are...not...great. Summerizing fanfiction is easy, but what about summerizing a poem?
In my own opinion, summerizing a poem robs the reader of the chance to interpret the poem based on his or her own perceptions and experiances.
Poetry is meant to be interpreted in different ways, like "Papa's Waltz" which can be takne positively or negatively.
Saying, "This poem is about a girl who is tired of having to conform to everybody's expectations" just ruins it. Let the reader figure it out, and if they ask you if what something means, ask them, "What do YOU think it means."
