Toonami
ok, it's pretty much like, 1:17 in the morning, but this is important. I just found out that Toonami (Cartoon Network's anime block) ended tonight! Now, admittedly, if i watched it anymore, i would have known this a few hours ago, but since all toonami's been showing recently is crapy-naruto fillers, i'm usually just watching adult swim for my anime. But still! toonami has been such a big part of my life, as well as many other anime fans of my generation. it's where we first saw anime, even if it was just sailor moon, dbz, gundam, and tenchi muyo. that program is what helped us become otaku, which plays a big part of our lives. I just can't believe it. I've been with toonami since about a year after it came out, some of my friends since it first came out when we were about 5,6, or 7 yrs old. this is just such a big shock. i can't believe it. around a decade of anime, and they just shut it down. Toonami has been my major source of anime from the time i was a really little kid. ........i just can't believe it. i'm sorry for writing this, since there's really no point. However, since i seem to basically be making this an online anime-related journal, i wanted to type it in and save the date at the very least. this is just so, major. I don't even know what to liken it to.......
