Stole it from Morbo's site - DO IT.

   Lol
G gave me some Tokyopop posters yesterday, which was very kind of him. Lol. One got a little blurry in the rain, but now it has a cool edgy feel to it (which works because that's the general art style).

Gotta buy good presents for:
Sarah A
Laura
Chiara
Sarah S.

Hmm. And Christmas cards for everyone else. Why oh why is everyone born????? Lol no I love them really.

LOL TORCHWOOD IS SOOOO GOOD. Suha, if you're reading turn away now because a spoiler is on it's way, and I can't control where it'll end up - you know me, I let things slip. I accidentally told Sarah A what her birthday present was...
Okay. So Owen and Gwen had this big kiss, which was bizarre because they were in one of those morgue trays, hiding from the half converted CyberWoman....yeah. And it makes me laugh, because I KNEW something like that was coming - and coming in more ways than one. Owen is all like "It's not like I fancy you, it's just my last kiss was from a man and I didn't want to die with that over my head..." There's an interesting story behind THAT let me tell you.

Anyway, I made up a character in Drama called Carnivalium Ray. Lol. Don't ask.

Well I was at a mind boggling play last night. Timon of Athens - Shakespeare. Don't get me wrong, I got what it was about, and what they were saying...but its presentation was AWFUL. The director simply had too many ideas and couldn't decide which to use, so he/she used them all. There was a guy with cool hair who sort of looked like an Alucard, only older.

In the interval I plucked up the courage to go speak to this guy I saw. He was hot, and I had kept seeing him all by himself. So I went over with Laura and we talked to him. Lol. He's Swiss, and he's studying English here, and he speaks FRENCH!!! Lol. Mmm, Philip.

But he looked and spoke more to Laura than to me, which sort of shows you how guys see me. They'd rather look at everything else. Yup.

Anyway. I WILL find a guy and wow him with whatever charms I find...

My word for the day
Brouhaha

It means hubbub in French.

You know, I was going to get "Lolita" in French, but for some reason I didn't. I understood the first bit of it when I opened, so with some elbow grease and a dictionary, I could get through it. Maybe I'll get it tomorrow.

I also got Petshop of Horrors 6.

And I LOVE Torchwood. It is incredible.

Lol it's a non uniform day today, and guess who's wearing practically all black...yup, I am. I haven't felt this out of place since I dressed up as a geisha for Tommy Lee's birthday party.

Well anyway.

Okay, so I'm sitting here typing away and as I do I'm wondering exactly what I want to do with my life. I really want to be a translater, working away for some publishing house translating new novels. I think I'd be quite good at it: I'm good at English, so I'd be familiar with how important it is to keep the literary concept of whatever it is I'm working on. And I wouldn't even consider translating unless I saw myself as being good at French...so it works, right???

I'm going to write a play about vampires. THANKS FOR THE IDEA! It's going to have to avoid clichés...as I saw this movie the other night which totally made a mockery of itself because it followed the whole cliché thing. James Woods was in it, case closed. With a voice like that, the man cannot be taken seriously. It's sort of similar to Billy Crystal's. I'm not normally shallow, but this was three o'clock in the morning and I was depressed, so it made me laugh.
That there Dracula parody movie, you know with Leslie Nielson, is hilarious. Can anyone tell me title of it??

YOUNG DRACULA IS SO RUBBISH IT'S GOOD! Vlad is Count Dracula's son, and he is just like a normal little kid. Vlad's sister, Ingrid, the the exact opposite. SHe's you wannabe troublemaker. Yawn, I hear you. Well in one episode Vlad "accidentally" hypnotises (no I don't know how this is acheived "accidentally" either) his father, dear old Dracula, and tells him that he is a normal father. NOw this guy that plays Dracula LOOKS incredible, but he can't act for toffee. So anyway. He's thinking he's normal.
Now there is a character called something-or-other-Van Helsing - haha - and his son. They are slayers (couldn't you guess) and they are coming up to the door of the castle Dracula. Now Dracula is just telling his kids how much he loves them (NUWAHAHAHAHAHA, and I'm wetting myself with laughter).
Van Helsing's all like, "Now look, son, you can't be too careful when the prince of darkness is on the loose."
When up saunters Dracula is a yellow suit with a big smile on his face.

THAT is Young Dracula.

It's alright for little ones, but I can't help laughing at it.

Sitting in politics, finding out about North Korea and its international political consequences...yeah. And the US midterms. Anyone who can tell me anything more about these would be really helpful, thank you very much!

Apparantly, Magical Trevor, is ever so clever...but then again, Sarah is on an acid trip. A minty one.

I'd really like to write a play. Yup yup. Because in my drama club, we only do these rubbish little ones and I reckon that I could write something decent and I'd just donate it to them because I just want to do a GOOD play. And ANYTHING is better than the rubbish we do.
ANY IDEAS??????

Becky finds it difficult to beleive that I'm a totally different person sometimes. With my friends I'm quite far out and extroverted, but when I'm in class with a bunch of people I don't know, I'm really quiet. I mean REALLY quiet. Becky says that it's impossible. BUt there it is. It's alike a wierd Bipolar-oid sort of thing.

La alalalalalalalla

I'm really hungry. I would like some pizza.

   Sarah's Quote of the Day
"Are you a man, or are you WO-man?"

Okay, I'm combining the quote with my main post today.

Lol. My friends Sarah and Becky have to write a sketch for their school show, so guess who's been roped into helping. Lol. My creativity is spread a little thin, because Sarah needed my surrealist mind for her own purposes: ie, RP-ing. Lol. You know if you just happen to glance at the word "RP-ing" it looks sort of like "Raping", which sucks because I misread it the first time she showed me the note and I had to do a triple take.
Well, it's all good because it shows that I have CREATIVITY. So I'm quite happy. Plus it's fun to help. THis is what I do best. I'm not academic in ANY WAY at all.

Hehe. The French department is going on a trip to see "L'Enfant" in the Queen's Film Theatre. It's a French film (obviously) so I'm worried in case there won't be subtitles. There should be, as it's not just French speakers and learners going. But nevertheless.

And I'm going to Stormont with politics (which I'm thinking of dropping) so I can question the MLA's about why they serve half a term and get an outrageous pension, while my parents, and those of my friends, spend most of their lives working and get a ridiculously small pension, and will possibly end up selling their homes.

AND I would like to know why healthcare for the elderly "isn't an NHS priority." Escuse me, but the NHS is a HEALTHCARE service: i.e. National HEALTH service. So I would have thought that HEALTHCARE - ESPECIALLY - for the elderly WOULD have been a priority.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

   Yo
Lol. Anyone heard of the Tsubasa chronicles?? Darius lent me volume one, and I really liked it. It's circulating among various other circles now - a.k.a Julie the Cool - at the moment. I saw an article on it here at theOtaku, which is why I'm asking. Lol. It's good, so read it if you possibly can.
Chiara was in Replay asking if they had volume 2, but she couldn't remember the name...so Gareth was apparantly all confused: "What is it?" and stuff like that. Lol. I heard about it, and I laughed like a maniac. Lol.
I sorta like Gareth...but NOOOOOO. It's like a teenage crush sort of a thing. Lol. Hormonal crap and I HATE IT. Lol. Ah well. I'll get over it just as soon as I find a man...if ever. Lol.

Weeeeell I bought a bagal yesterday.

I'm on the lookout for Hellsing volume 5 now. Lol. I'm looking forward to the Hellsing volume with the Castlevania chapter in it, which is the one with Alucard's childhood. It's not a very nice one, but it's an interesting chapter. Lol. I'm soooo obsessed, but hey you know whatever. I like vampires in general anyway, not just Alucard. Lestat comes a close second, only less Tom Cruise please. I DO sorta like Dracula, but only the way Elizabeth Kostova has written him: more like Vlad III than in Bram Stoker's novel. Anyway. Isn't Alucard Dracula anyway? So it's all good. Lol. Yes, I do like vampire myths. What I DON'T like is when people watch ONE Dracula movie and then assume that they know all there is to know about the mythology. I don't know an awful lot about it compared to others, but at least I can admit that. There's simply got to be more than garlic soup, right?

ANYONE WHO LIKES THE VAMPIRE MYTHS PM ME PLEASE AND TALK TO ME, I WISH TO LEAAAAAAAAAARN!!!

I've just found a really random quote in Hellsing: "Yes my masterrrrrrrr." Which is said by Seras, which is odd...the rolling of the 'r' and all, which appears to me to make her sound a wee bit Scottish...

The next manga I would really like is: "Le Chevalier D'Eon."

Either that or volume 3 of Guru Guru Pon-Chan, which is SOO SOO cute!!!! Lol.

Oh, and I was thinking about getting Escaflowne for my own, but Chiara says I can borrow her's anytime I like...so I might leave it. I lurve Allen, who's with me????

Okay, so if I don't get Escaflowne, I might get...hmm. Blood: The Last Vampire??? Or...something else. Oh oh, how about...Hello Kitty??????? Lol. What's that like, anyway? I don't know. Lol. Maybe not then. Lol. Hmm. Well the OVA disc would be a plus, I guess, as well as...the next volume of Otogi Zoshi. Something with ancient Japan, also.
