   Yo.
Well I like this manga called Pita-Ten, and I also really like Fruit's Basket. But my favourite manga right now is...probably Guru Guru Pon-chan. Or Hellsing. Yeah. A big leap, but whatever. From fluff to guns in nought to ten seconds. HAHA.

Right.

Well I've forgotten my French folder, which means that I don't have my French translation with me - which means that I'm in deep doodoo. My vocabulary test yesterday was rubbish. I went over EVERYTHING and forgot EVERYTHING. Well okay, not everything but whatever.
But I actually worked really hard at this translation! Grr. Damn my non-organised brain. Ah well. At least I have some cheap bars of chocolate in my schoolbag for later.

Everyone wish my friends good luck with their mock exams!

Ummm. Yeah. My life isn't all that interesting these days so let's talk about...

YOU!

Answer the following: (sorry Magnus, I'm kinda stealing your question-type things, but it's just this once, and it's definately not as good as the questions you ask)

Have you ever sat down and repeated a word (any word) over and over, and realised that it sounds really, really wierd? What word was it? Make up a word that you can replace it with.

E.g.: Harold is an odd word, so I shall replace it with Crapbaggle.

   Yawn
Monday Monday.

Lol. How was everyone's weekend? Lol. Mine was pretty good. I hung around with Laurence, and he kind of "held my hand" only he didn't, at least, not in the way you'd think. My hands were cold, so he kind of sandwiched them between his lovely, long pianist hands. Grr. I lurve this guy. His hands were nice and warm, so I was saying (inwardly) "You can do this forever if you like." Yeahh...

   Yawn
Well yeah here I am.

Lol feeling better now because it is the end of the week, Chiara's exams are almost over, and we're going to the cinema later. Not to mention that I'm going down town with, wait for it...LAURENCE. Lol. Yeah yeah I know we're not actually "going out" or whatever, but I'm really happy that he WANTS to go down with me. Lol. He asked me, y'see. I'm soooo happy. So very, very happy.

I would ask him to come tonight, but he'd be the only dude there...and I think Chiara would prefer it if it were just us. I think Jenny's going to come too, but it's up to her. Lol. I'm going to ring her later on and find out for sure. Lol. Very happy right now, very very.

It's Jenny, Chiara and I that are going to Italy later on this year. Oh my gosh, SOOOO looking forward to that, don't you know. Lol.

Lol. I read a few days ago that some guy, in 2003, went onto a local radio station and was interviewed because he claimed to be that late, great Marc Bolan. Yeah. Actually, I have to say that - if his picture wasn't doctored - he looked pretty close. I mean, if I didn't know that Marc's been dead for thirty years, I'd think that it was actually him. Yeah. If you want to read the transcript of the interview just google: "Marc Bolan Milwaukee" and hopefully you'll get this site "H(ear) MARC BOLAN LIVES IN MILWAUKEE". Yeeaah. It's sad that people sink to this for fame, right? I'd love to meet this guy, just to get a closer look at him, and hear him speak and sing and stuff. Coz according to the transcript, the DJ and Vin were pretty taken aback by how close he sounded. Although, sound-a-likes aren't uncommon, and neither is plastic surgury, unfortunantly. Yeah.

And he didn't explain the outcome of the car crash very well either. Yup. He said it was a lookalike in the car; but surely Gloria Jones would have noticed that the guy in the car with her WASN'T the father of her child, if that was the case? She would have said something, right? Plus, Rolan Bolan has given countless interviews about how he barely remembers his dad. So yeah, this 2003 guy is a fake.

Not that you needed all that 'information' to work it out.

Yeah hi.

Anyway, TGIF, guys I'm off to Moe's.

Listening to: Twentieth Century Boy by T-Rex.

Depressed. My mum got drunk pretty early yesterday, and my sister came home from brownies with a migraine that made her throw up. Guess who ended up having to clean it up because my mum didn't really do all that great a job of it, and my dad can't crouch down, and of course my sister was way too sick. So I cleaned up and then went to sleep early that evening, without bothering to do any work whatsoever. Yawn.

Well it's not so bad today.

I woke up around five and said to myself "I'm going to get up at six and have a WHOLE HOUR to myself before I'm shunted off to school." But I fell back to sleep and woke up at 7.30 instead, and got yelled at by my mum. To be honest I really didn't feel like going to school so I said to my dad that I didn't feel well (which is true in a way) and he sort of worked out the reason why I didn't feel too good. He made me feel a bit better so I went to school and snored my way through.

Actually school wasn't that bad today. I've got pretty damned good friends, both in and out of school. I try not to bother them too much with this mood I'm having lately, because most of them have got exams and stuff.

Grr. I don't know why all this is coming out now, and why it's coming out HERE. I should be talking to my mum or dad about this, right??

   Yo.
Just fresh from a talk about journalism. Yeah that's what I'd love to do with my life: especially a newspaper journalist, mm mmm.
The journalist told us that it's a good idea to write a little every day in order to develope a certain style, as well as a good grasp on english (obviously important).

Sooooo...do you guys think I have any particular style, or does it change to match what I'm talking about?

Anyway.

I do know that I need to keep up to date on issues, especially since I'm entering a competition. "Question Time" is a show on TV which encourages live debate between members of the public and guest speakers (ranging from politicians to [random] TV personalities). Yeah we're doing our own version of that. If we win, we'll go to London and produce our own show. Yup. ^_^. That'd be cool. Me and Sarah are doubting whether we'd get to go on TV as such, as we're pretty much small fries in the social fish and chips...thing...so we're going to damn well make sure we work hard behind everyone else to make it clear and original. Assuming that we do win, which we may not.

Grr. Do you know what's really getting on my goat? This furore the politicians have created surrounding Saddam Hussein's hanging. I don't agree with state execution, not even for someone as tyrannical as him, but I do respect the fact that it was Iraqi justice. That's important. It's important to support Iraq's legal system: all these western countries are interfering, and western politicians are viewing the hanging as though it had been committed in a western country. No it hasn't. There are politicans out there who supported the downfall of Saddam Hussein, and who MUST have known that to ensure him an Iraqi trial meant that he would be executed. And now they're suddenly all outspoken against it. Damn them.
I do condemn the taunts Saddam Hussein faced. To be fair, this is what a good number of politicans are more worried about. Yes, he was a tyrant, yes he was cruel. But the fact that he was opposed and overthrown was enough. He was on his way to DIE for his crimes. He was being punished, and he was going to die right in front of them - and he was taunted.

And of course there's the controversy surrounding the images of his death. This is a difficult one. On the one hand, the Iraqi government felt the need to prove that Saddam was dead. This is fair enough to me, considering that conspiracy theorists would have had a field day otherwise. On the other, the way they were filmed was blunt - too blunt for some. One particular image that sticks in mind is the image of him lying in a white shroud, his neck twisted. One British journalist is asking "Why is violent pornography rightly considered obscene within the boundaries of democracy, when the images of a dead Saddam Hussein twisting o the rope are available on every news website, and seen on every programme?"

Make up your own minds, people, that's what they're there for.

Emma.

   Yawn
Not very happy today. I don't really know why, and nor do I care to find out. It's never a good thing when you're sad for no reason - it just means somebody's going to give you hell later for something you've forgotten about. Yawn.

Well I am a tad happy because Sarah Atchinson gave me the cartoon she drew of me, which is fabulous. I'm going to get my dad to frame it because it's so eyewateringly amazing. She drew it for my birthday, and it's my favourite present yet. Close second comes Laurence's gift.

Oh yes. There have been interesting developements in this area. He called up to my house on Friday, totally unexpected and said "You want to do something Saturday?" and of course I say "Yes."
So we went down town.
Actually, he turned up an hour earlier than I expected, so my hair wasn't brushed. That was sorted out double quick (FYI, I love his hair). So anyway, I had to walk my doggies before I went out, and he's so sweet he said he'd come too! That made me dance inside. My sister came to (naturally, since Lady is HER dog), and he was really nice about it - my last boyfriend kind of ridiculed my little sister, but he didn't so much. She was in full on drama queen mode, but he didn't really mind (or didn't show it). So anyway, he comes back to my house and I get him a glass of water. He sees a box of cherries and is all like "Aha I see you like cherries...I like them too."
We do actually have a lot in common. We both like manga (although he says he wishes he'd never bough Priest) and anime, and we both like sort of the same kind of movies. HE'S A TREKKIE!!! Lol. Ohhh he's so adorable.

I don't want to sound vain and I would NEVER say this lightly, but I think he likes me. Yup. ^_^

But today I am depressed. Actually, deep down I've been quite depressed since the start of last year. Yeah...but it's no big deal, it's not like I'm going to burst into tears over it. There's no point. My big sister has depression, and dystonia (I think that's the word) and all these things, so it's more important that she get's better than anything else.

I don't really know why I'm depressed. It's just...stuff. Low self esteem on top of things going constantly wrong in school, on top of my parents' silent feud with one another, on top of the fact that everything I do falls apart. Yeah. That about covers it.

But never mind.

   Lol
Very happy today.

Got two new CD's yesterday: the Welcome to the Black Parade one, and one called Children of the Revolution by T-Rex. Woo. Lol. I love this song: Ballrooms of Mars, and also The Leopards featuring Gardenia and the Mighty Slug. Lol.

The MCR song, Cancer, made me cry.

The MCR song, Mama, is now one of my all time favourites. Yeah. Lol.

Check this out, it's hot:

Okay, so it's Friday, but it's only my second day back in school, which is pretty sweet. Lol. I'm not sleeping very well, so I kind of need to be eased back into school like this. Lol. I'm such a dweeb. The reason I'm not sleeping very well is partly to do with good music and the time to listen to it in. With no-one listening you can put on anything you want. Lol. The other reason is simply that I'm kind of depressed these days, which is stupid, but I'll get over it...

EVERYONE CHEER CHIARA BECAUSE SHE PASSED HER DRIVING TEST!!!!! Lol. I say well done that Italinina. Yup. I typed Italinina on purpose, mm hmm.

I had a really weird dream about Gerard Way. It involved him asking me out to dinner, and yet I brought my friend Sarah along, and we went to Pizza Hut, even though Sarah was in formal dress because she'd assumed that we'd be going somewhere top-notch and highbrow. Yeah. Lol. Sarah is silly in dreamland. Gerard had strange hair: neither his black nor his bleached hair...I don't know what I'd seen in the magazines or whatever, but his hair was a bit out there.

Love Marc Bolan, love him love him love him. I wonder what his music would be like if he'd surivived that car crash. He was only 29 when he died. According to urban legend he said "I sure hope I don't die in a month or so because no-one would remember me" and exactly a month later he died.

Ooooh but his music rocks. Even my friends are sort of coming round. I mention a song and they're all like "He did that? I LOVE that song!"

P.S. Oh my gawrsh so I haven't got Hellsing 5 yet, but I've read Hellsing 6 and Alucard's in it for like 5 pages. I sort of know what happened in volume 5, but not that well. I do know that Alucard crashes a plane into a cargo ship full of Nazi's. It's this ship that brings him to London. It's really good the way Hirano's presented it in the manga: Maxwell is now in charge of four leagues of knights (one league looking remarkably like the KKK, but we'll not get into that) and he's having a smirk about that. Then some little guy runs up being all like "Father, the British ship is moving towards London. It's only moving a a few knots, but it's definately moving."
And Maxwell's like "Impossible."
And they're all like "Alucard is coming."

Oooh dramatic stuff that I can't get enough of. Can't wait to read through it properly...hehehehehe.

Oh yes, and also looking forward to the two volumes of Guru Guru Pon-Chan hehe. Yeah, polar opposites, but whatever.

Well Sarzie (copyrighted) asked me if I wanna go to Replay on Tuesday and I was all like "Well I'd love to" so we're gonna play Guitar Freaks!!!

   Hehe apparantly this is me

You Are Surrealism

Dreamy and idealistic, you've created a world that is all your own.

It's very likely that you've either dabbled in drugs or are naturally trippy.

You are always trying to push beyond the boundaries of your culture and society.

You believe that art, love, and freedom can change the world.

   Lol
Okay guys, sorry I haven't been on for a while. Christmas and all, you know.

Well I hope you all had a good one! Tell me all about it.

Mine wasn't great, because of the whole parents aren't talking thing. I swear that it's reached epic proportions now. Lol.

Oh and now I am totally into T-Rex. Yeah I know they're from the seventies...but me really like them. It all started when I found an old annual of a girls magazine from something like 1975, and there was picture of this guy in it who was really attractive in a bizarre sort of way. Yup, that was Marc Bolan. Not long after that they did a show on TV about glam rock, and of course Marc Bolan and T-Rex was mentioned: he's attributed with the start of the movement. So yeah, that is good.

I've also decided that I'm going to try and save up my money this year, in case the oppertunity comes along to watch either My Chemical Romance or Muse in concert. In a perfect world Laurence would want to come too...but he probably won't.

Lol. It's a bit wierd with Laurence. I'm the one going down to his house and inviting him out places. He lives on the same street as me and he KNOWS where I live...and he never comes up to see me.

Hmmm.

We had a good time down town with Chiara and Jenny and Michelle...and I think he knows I like him. Hmm. Maybe this is the problem? That he's fallen head over heels with Chiara (love you darlin') and doesn't know how to tell me? Or rather, that he just doesn't like me that way. Hmm. Damn.
