Guess Who's Back...

I have returned! It feels good to be back in the internet community after being gone for a week and a half. If you read my last post, I said that I would be gone for a few days. Well, it was a few more days than I thought.

Sadly, my grandfather passed away on last Friday afternoon. It was a very hectic day for the whole family, especially since a lot of us had been at the hospital since 4am that day. We all had our crying times, even me, which shocked me that I actually broke down in tears twice in that day. First time in three years that has happened, and even then, it wasn't as bad.

Well, I was atthe funeral home a lot over the weekend, and my dad and stepmom brought my suit for me for the funeral that was on Monday. I haven't worn that thing since Boys State after my 11th grade year. Still fit though. The funeral went well, and it seems that the family is has calmed down a bit, my mom especially since it hit her the hardest.

The rest of the week, I just stayed at my mom's house, helping out and being lazy and watching tv. I just got back home in Madison an hour ago, and I gave my old PS1 to my stepbrother, hopefully to occupy his time and distract him from bugging my mom.

I did get time to finally beat my copy of Golden Sun on the GBA. Given, it's a 5-yr-old game, and I've had it for 1 year, but I finally just sat down and beat it. Plus, I got my fourth room in Animal Crossing. Yay.

Well, I'm back. Tomorrow, I'll probably go shopping for a fathers day present. I still can't think of what to get my dad. Plus, I have to go read Civil War #2 where Spider-Man publicly removes his mask, while trying not to rip the comic into pieces. There are so many things wrong with Spider-Man going public, and they should know that at Marvel. I want to hurt someone.

Not really anything else. Everyone have a good day.

Gone For a Few Days. Don't Wait Up.

I'm going to be gone for a couple or a few days. Not exactly sure how long, but I'll probably be back sometime this weekend. My grandfather is in the hospital, and my mom needs someone to watch my little stepbrother while she goes and visits my grandfather since he's six and the area of the hospital only allows 13+ visitors. That someone seems to be me. Basically, I'll be at my mom's the whole time. I hope she still has satallite tv since she just moved. I'll still have my DS though. Got to play my Animal Crossing.

I felt odd, knowing that I met probably all the visitor age requirements there. Sure, I haven't been 13 in quite some time, but still. It's odd being 20. I don't particularly feel older, but I guess I am

Good news is that I just might be able to make CUSTOMS on Saturday, which would be awesome, seeing if I can meet and greet oncoming freshmen. Recruitment for the anime club is fun.

Let's see what else there is. No job, check. No relationship news, check. No interesting events that have shaped the future of my life, check. It's been pretty boring as usual.

Well, I still have chores to do around the house. Wash dishes, mow the yard, and take out the trash. Plus, I have to figure out what all I'm taking with me over to my mom's house.

Well, I don't leave till this afternoon, so between chores, I'll probably still visit sites. I guess that's it for now. Everyone be good, and don't throw any parties, or you'll be grounded. Bye.

Not Much Lately

EDIT: Holy kickassness. I'm an Otaku Legend. It sounds important, and a recent news thing just said that 100 were promoted to such a rank, with me being one of them appearantly. I'm legendary.

Anyway...

Boring week. No job yet, which means no new computer for me to do massive amounts of posting and commenting on. Sorry, but some of these sites are quite something to process on only 64 megs of RAM. It's rediculous. I hardly even try to look at MySpace accounts. Those things are way too much for this computer.

Well, as for this week, I crawled under the house to spread some ant powder stuff. I hate going into the crawl space. It always freaks me out.

Uh...I'm drawing a blank on the rest of the week. Not really much. Have a good rest of the day then.

Go See X3

I saw the second showing of the day at 12:30 at Rivergate 8. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't screwed up like so many of us worried about. Plenty of good fights and scenes with no fights were also good. I always liked the Prof X/Magneto interaction scenes. Juggernaut was cool too. Kelsey Grammer did a great job as Beast, as I suspected. All in all, I liked the movie.

If you go to see it, STAY THROUGH THE CREDITS! There's a scene after the credits. I yelled that out when the credits started, and people still left. Some stayed though, and one guy even thanked me for saying something about it.

The movie also had new trailers for Superman Returns and Ghost Rider. Both trailers were good and make me look forward to those movies.

Afterwards, I wandered around, mostly reading in Walderbooks and Books-A-Million. I read Rurouni Kenshin vol 27, Fruits Basket vol 5, Ouran High School Host Club vol 3, and Deathnote vol 3. It's fun to just go into a bookstore and read without buying anything.

Last Stand

The day is done. Chores are out of the way for now. Did some laundry, cleaned some empty fish tanks, mowed the yard. I even let a neighbor use the mower for their front yard, and I got $10 for it. Perfect timing, considering...

...X-Men 3 Friday. I'll be in Rivergate to watch the movie. I believe it's showing at Rivergate 8, the one behind the mall. I'll go to whatever showing I can get in first. I'll also turn in some applications to places I don't care about, as well as spend time reading in Books-A-Million. So many series, so little time. Might also get a haircut if there's time and I feel like it. I really should get one. I kinda miss being able to see.

I might be working with my dad next week. If so, then two weeks from today, I'll have a paycheck. That means money in the bank, which means enough to get a new computer. I'm considering ordering a custom built machine. I can get a cheaper brand name, but I'd rather go this way. Also need to pick up a wireless router so that I can hook it up in the den and get online in my room without cables. As long as I can start downloading again and get online in my room wih no fear from running multiple programs at once, I'll be fine.

I know X-Men 3 will have the Superman Returns trailer, but I also hopes it has the Ghost Rider trailer. I saw clips, and it seems interesting thus far.

Weekend End

Sunday night. Time to sum things up.

On Saturday, I did go to Great Escape's sidewalk sale. Stayed in there for about three hours. I bought Batman: The Dark Knight Strikes Again by Frank Miller. Honestly, I like the paneling in this one better than Dark Knight Returns. I also bought a toy RX 78 Gundam that was just in some plastic bag for $11. It came with the spare hands and weapons. It's just so cool. Photos shall come.

Eventually, I'm going to take photos of my room, preferrably when I get my new computer.

I spent the rest of the day watching TV. SNL's season finale was on, and Kevin Spacy was the host. After the opening monologue, they showed a Superman Returns trailer. I really want to see that movie.

As for today, I went to my cousin's first birthday party. It was fun tobe hanging out with my cousins and aunts and their boyfriends and my sister. Plus, cake and ice cream. Aside from doing a few chores at home, not much else.

I guess I'll let you guys go comment while I get me some cherry cobbler and vanilla ice cream. Have a nice night.

Tuesday, the Day Before Today

Tuesday was actually pretty good.

I got up, watched some Daily Show and Colbert Report reruns from the night before (good shows). I got on the computer and talked to myself out loud like I usually do when I'm alone. It helps me think if I say what I'm thinking. Problem was I wasn't alone. I guess my stepmom accidently slept in or something. Kinda weird when you think someone heard you talking to yourself. Oh well.

She went to work, so I was then home alone. I set up a family email account for them on yahoo. I knew my dad was very computer illiterate, but I was floored when I learned that my stepmom didn't know she needed to send an email to an email account...from an email account. They hadn't been able to send emails from home because they didn't even have an email account. Sometimes, I just have to shake my head. I have my doubts for the survival of this family in the technological age.

Headed ofer to Rivergate Mall, turned in some job applications and picked up some more. This whole process is getting annoying. I really spent most of the time reading in Waldenbooks and Books-A-Million without buying a single thing. That's always fun. I read:
-The Dark Knight Strikes Again
-Absolute Boyfriend vol 1
-Ouran High School Host Club vol 2
-Ranma 1/2 vol 5
-Boys of Summer vol 1
and other things I just flipped through

Came home, ate dinner, watched House (great show), was online, listened to music, and went to sleep. Tuesday over.

One Week of Summer Down...Is It Over Yet?

It's kinda boring around here. Today, I was supposed to go to my stepmom's mom's house for some family thing for mothers day, but my dad got sick, so I stayed with him. He got a bit better fairly quick, well enough to go plant shopping alone. I stayed at home then just incase he got sick there and something happened. Nothing did. He got back sometime after 4, and so did my stepmom. I wanted to go up to Rivergate today, readmanga in Books-A-Million, but that kinda fell threw.

No news on the job front. Well, no good news. Waldenbooks isn't hiring. Still have to Talk to Books-A-Million, but I'm not hopeful that they're hiring. EB might be looking for people. I know Great Escape kinda is, but I doubt I'll be hired there. I probably know more about anime and manga than most of them, but they don't place much emphasis on those. As for comics, I know a bit there too, but I don't know if that's what they're looking for in a new worker. Plus, I know hardly anything about music, and that takes up about half the store.

Basically, I'll probably be working with my dad at Aldor again. Not a bad job, but I hate getting up that early. 5:45am is the devil's time, I tell you.

Still working on buying a new computer.

For a guy who's jobless and saving for a computer, I've bought way too much since I've been home. Tsubasa 8-9, Genshiken 5, Love Hina novel, Young Avengers vol 1, New Avengers vol 3 hardcover. Darn my collecting nature. Still, they were good, and I'm glad I own them.

E3: I want my freaken Wii already. I need to play some Super Smash Bros Brawl. It looks so beautiful. DS has some good games to with Zelda:Phantom Hourglass, Starfox, and Diddy Kong Racing. PS3 is way too freaken expensive, but people shall buy it. The people loves their MGS4. Plus, Assassin's Creed looks like it'll be good on it too.

Enough for now, I guess. Hope everyone is having a nice summer.

I'm Back...Can I Go Now?

Ok, well, I'm home. I spent a good deal of time throwing wallscrolls and posters onto my wall, as well as organizing my manga/graphic novel bookcase. My room is now something I feel comfortable in again, except for the loss of internet and a good laptop (if I ever had a GOOD laptop).

Right now, I'm on my parents' crappy computer. High speed cable internet pushing itself through a 5 year old computer with 64MB of RAM and 19GB of hard drive space. It's like watching something very big go through something very small. Multi-tasking on this thing is near impossible. Trust me though, I shall get a new computer. I'm thinking I'll start with a new monitor, keyboard, mouse, and cable modem, using my laptop just as a tower. I can do that until I get enough funds for a whole new computer. Any suggestions? I don't need anything high end. I mostly want something I can watch things on. Half a GB of RAM, at least 100BG HDD, and maybe some other crap.

In other news, job hunting is afoot. I turned in one to Waldenbooks in Rivergate on Saturday. I hope that goes well. I shall do more over the week. Wish me luck.

I miss campus.

I guess that's all. Everyone have a good day.

Stupid Laptop Monitor

Ok, I know I haven't been to many sites this semester, but I've hardly been anywhere these days on myO. You see, my laptop monitor is crapping out on me. It flashes white, and it's doing it more often and for longer periods of time. Most of my online time in the last few days have been spent at my service work or the computer lab. I shall get a new computer, but it may take a couple of weeks, so yeah.

In other news, my summer "vacation" shall start soon. I say "vacation" because it's not a vacation. I work during summer and have more free time and fun at school. That doesn't seem like it's the way it would work, but that's how it is. I just have two exams left for tomorrow, and they are probably going to be hard, so wish me luck.

Not really much else. I move back on Friday, taking more stuff than I left with originally (thank you dealers rooms). Then, back home and soon working. No fun, but at least I get paid.

I guess that's all. Have fun commenting and have a good day.
