   It was a time of infamy. The dragon riders of the North were at war with the sphinx herders of the South. The two clans weren't always at war. The dragon riders were always wariors, but they would fight the mere-wariors and the phoenix fighters. The sphinx herders were peaceful farmers that cared for the earth. They would breed the sphinxes to guard the money they made from selling their crops. On the night the feud started, an audacious sphinx herder was hitting on a young maiden. Little did he know that she was a dragon wariors girlfriend. The warior saw what was happening and decided to fight the herder. The herder knew nothing of fighting, so the dragon warior won. In his victory the warior killed the herder. The herders grew angry and struck back by learning to fight from th mere-people. The first battle was handed to the dragon riders, but the herders trained and soon they were formidable foes.
