Village Hidden in the Leaves




Original Name: Konohagakure no Sato or Village Hidden Among Tree Leaves
Head Ninja: Hokage


A shorter name for the Hidden Leaf Village is Konoha. For the past thirteen years Konoha and the entire Land of Fire was a very peaceful place. During those thirteen years, the number of ninjas in Konoha were immense. Because of their large population, their military force was a dominate factor. Konoha harbors several important clans: Hyuuga, Uchiha, Aburame and Inuzuka. The Hyuuga Clan has two houses, a main house and a branch house. The main house is for the first-born of an existing member, with a branch house being for all the other children. A first-born cannot be in the main house if they have been disowned. Hyuuga have specializations in enhanced perceptions and chakra. The Uchiha clan is mainly extinct except for two, Uchiha Sasuke and Uchiha Itachi (Itachi responsible for killing the rest of the clan). The Aburame clan can control insects by letting them feed off their own chakra. And the Inuzuka clan has their own canine-type companion.






Village Hidden in the Mist



Original Name: Kirigakure no Sato or Village Hidden in Mist
Head Ninja: Mizukage


In this village, their ninjas are specialists in water-type jutsus. For their graduation exam of Genins, friends were forced to turn and fight against each other, until one was killed. However, this way was soon stopped after Momochi Zabuza (who failed to even get in the academy), killed all of the graduating students for that year.



Village Hidden Amoung the Rocks


Original Name: Iwagakure no Sato or Village Hidden Among Rocks
Head Ninja: Tsuchikage


The ninjas that reside in this village have an expertise in earth jutsus. The Hidden Rock Village has had a violent past with the Hidden Leaf Village, where the Hidden Leaf Village has come out the victor. Diedara, a member of the Akatsuki clan, was once from this village before she came a missing-nin or exiled ninja. Diedara has the ability to cast clay sculptures to either fight or explode for her.




Village Hidden in the Clouds


Original Name: Kumogakure no Sato or Village Hidden in Clouds
Head Ninja: Raikage


Currently, the information on the Hidden Cloud village is limited. It was said that, the Hidden Cloud Village once waged war on the Hidden Leaf Village by breaking a peace treaty, but they also lost miserably. One of the few scraps that we do know is that the Ninjas of this village have electric jutsu powers.



Village Hidden in the Sand




Original Name: Sunagakure no Sato or Village Hidden in Sand
Head Ninja: Kazekage


The military might of this village is dwindling because of the landlord of the Land of the Wind. To compensate for the loss of numbers, the village's leader, Kazekage, has been working to increase the quality of his remaining Ninjas, at all costs. The lord started to commission the Konoha village with request that should have been in his own village. To make matters worse, the lord has been cutting back on the overall budget if the village. Kazekage was worried that the village was going to soon vanish so he was desperate for a solution. In the end, Kazekage colluded with the Hidden Sound Village, which was newly established by Orochimaru, to attack the Konoha to get revenge at the lord and restore their military force.



Village Hidden in the Sound

Original Name: Unknown
Head Ninja: Orochimaru

The Hidden Sound Village isn't really a village. The groups are rouge ninja from the Village Hidden in the Mist. Founded by Orochimaru, the Sound Ninjas have gathered enough followers and have joined the eforts of the Sand Village to conquer Konoha.



Village Hidden Amoung the Grass


Kusagakure "Village Hidden Among Grass" is located in the Land of Grass. Nothing apart from that is known about it at this point, but it stands to reason that its ninja specialize in jutsu involving flora or fauna. Judging from the ninja that have hailed from Kusagakure, it can be assumed that this village is far less pleasant than Konohagakure.



Village Hidden in the Waterfall



Takigakure"Village Hidden in a Waterfall") is located in the Land of the Waterfall. It's lead by Shibuki, who seems too much of a coward for the job at first. Nothing apart from that is known about it at this point, but it stands to reason that its ninja specialize in water-based jutsu. Also, its leader processed a type of water called the Hero Water, which was extracted from a rather old tree. It gives the user ten times their ordinary chakra level. However, the strain of its use can prove fatal.




Village Hidden in the Rain

Amegakure "Village Hidden in Rain" is a small hidden village in the Land of Rain. It seems to be a rather loosely knit village, as a fair number of its ninja seem to either be missing-nin or end up as missing-nin. Nothing apart from this is known about it at this point, but it stands to reason that its ninja specialize water-based jutsu. Umbrellas are common weapons used only by them. One can infer from the performance of their ninja that long-range combat and genjutsu are emphasized, as are various breathing aids to allow them full mobility in their element.




Village Hidden Under the Moon

Getsugakure "Village Hidden under the Moon" is a hidden village in the Land of the Moon. The country appears briefly on a headband woren by a few Ninja. Other information about the village is Unknown.



Village Hidden Amoung the Stars


Hoshigakure "Village Hidden Among Stars" is located in the Land of Bears. Hoshigakure was formed sometime after a strange meteorite, which they call the "star", struck its location 200 years previous. Dialog from its inhabitants suggests that it can't have been around longer than Konoha. Its leader is the Hoshikage, though the leader is a Kage in name only. The other villages do not recognize Hoshigakure as an equal, nor is there any ninja truly worthy of the title.



Village Hidden in the Smoke

Kemurigakure "Village Hidden in Smoke" is a village alluded to in episode 101 of the anime. Its location is unknown, as are the capabilities of its ninja. The only three ninja from the village that have appeared were portrayed as rather inept, but this may not be indicative of the overall state of the village. Instead, the three ninja in question could easily be untalented outcasts.



Village Hidden in the Snow


Yukigakure "Village Hidden Among Snow" is located in the Land of Snow. Little is known about this village at the time. The ninja from this village had a special "chakra armor" which protected them from most attacks while amplifying the users abilities, and their jutsu arsenal typically used ice in the forms of various animals. It is unknown what happens to the village.




Village Hidden in the Dark


Chnokuni "Village Amoung the Darkness". Not much is know about the Dark Village, but the ninjas were originally from The Waterfall Village.
